  • Updating AjaxToolKit Breaks WCF Service for AutoCompleteExtender

    I had a perfectly working WCF service that I used for a custom AutoCompleteExtender but when I updated the AjaxControlToolKit.dll the service no longer works. I changed nothing else but removing the old DLL and adding the new one. Is there something else I need to update that I am missing? I can access the service so I know it's working properly but the methods are just not getting called by the AutoCompleteExtender.

    I've created a custom datasource which fetches data from a web api, and I'm now looking at implementing error handling. In the datasource, I'm calling $model-onError(). In the model, I've created the onError method, and I can access error details with $this-getDataSource()-error; However I can't redirect or set a flash message because that can only take place in the controller, so what should I be doing here to communicate the error to the user?

    I love WinSCP for Windows. What are the best equivalent softwares for linux? I tried to use sshfs to mount the remote file system on my local machine, but it is not as user friendly as simply launching a GUI, plus it seems to require root access on the client machine, which is not very convenient. Of course command line tools such as scp are possible, but I am looking for a simple GUI. Thanks!

    I am converting a large project in VB.NET that is using Option Strict Off into Option Strict On Naturally I am running into the same compilation error over and over. Strict On does not allow implicit conversion from Object to String/Integer/Double Is it possible to to access the compilation errors with a macro and automatically append .ToString() to the erroneous implicit conversion.     I just installed Dynamics CRM 4.0. It is working nicely except for workflows. They won't start. I turned on tracing and it appears that there is an IO error. The server is setup with IFD and SSL. No issues accessing it internally or externally.     I'm trying to connect to a mysql server at dreamhost from a php scrip located in a server at slicehost (two different hosting companies). I need to do this so I can transfer new data at slicehost to dreamhost. Using a dump is not an option because the table structures are different and i only need to transfer a small subset of data (100-200 daily records) The problem is that I'm using the new MySQL Password Hashing method at slicehost, and dreamhost uses the old one, So i get $link = mysql_connect($mysqlHost, $mysqlUser, $mysqlPass, FALSE); Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: OK packet 6 bytes shorter than expected Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using old authentication Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Access denied for user 'nodari'@'localhost' (using password: NO) facts: I need to continue using the new method at slicehost and i can't use an older php version/library The database is too big to transfer it every day with a dump Even if i did this, the tables have different structures I need to copy only a small subset of it, in a daily basis (only the changes of the day, 100-200 records) Since the tables are so different, i need to use php as a bridge to normalize the data Already googled it Already talked to both support stafs The more obvious option to me would be to start using the new MySQL Password Hashing method at dreamhost, but they will not change it and i'm not root so i can't do this myself. But as soon as I add binmode(STDOUT, ":encoding(ISO-8859-1)"); to my script file, I get an error like "segmentation fault", "access denied".   • What should I do or don't do to avoid Delphi "push dword" bug.

    I found that Delphi 5 generates invalid assembly code in specific cases. I can't understand in what cases in general. The example below produces access violation since a very strange optimization occurs. For a byte in a record or array Delphi generates push dword [...], pop ebx, mov .., bl that works correctly if there are data after this byte (we need at least three to push dword correctly), but fails if the data is inaccessible. I emulated the strict boundaries here with win32 Virtual* functions Specifically the error occurs when the last byte from the block accessed inside FeedBytesToClass procedure. I need it to be that type since it has a few extra methods in it that i want to access. Should i restructure it and have another class handle the logic, and then just having the view being a view?     Hi, If I have a file myfile.py, which imports Class1 from file.py and file.py contains imports to different classes in file2.py, file3.py, file4.py. In my myfile.py, can I access these classes or do I need to again import file2.py, file3.py etc... My question is whether python automatically add all the imports included in the file I imported, and can I use them automatically. Thank you. Bala

    Any idea why my Restore command works fine when run in Management Studio 2008 but not when run from the dos prompt? Shown below is the error when running from the dos prompt.
