    Im trying to achieve an output like this {"status":"ok","0":{"id":"11","title":"digg","url":"http://www.digg.com"}} but instead i am getting this {"status":"ok","0":{"id":"11","title":"digg","url":"http:\/\/www.digg.com"}} this is the php code im using to generate the json $links = array('id'=>'11','title'=>'digg','url'=>"http://www.digg.com"); $msg = array('status'=>'ok',$links); echo json_encode($msg); any idea what is causing this?

    Hi, I am using the Cocoa JSON framework ( http://code.google.com/p/json-framework/ ) to communicate with an API. The problem is that the API returns a dictionary if there is an error but returns an array of the results if it works. Is there a good way to detect if the JSONValue is an array or a dictionary?     I assume arguments to my shell scripts willbe ./x.sh subject N file1 file2 fileN So I am splicing argv from 3 till end candidates=${@:3} now I want to check whether length of candidates is same as given N I am trying with echo $((${#candidates[@]})) which is always returning 1. I can do echo "$#-2" | bc but, I shouldn't I be able to get array size ? I can use bc to do integer comparison. but I've to know the size of `candidates array which I am not getting properly.

  • Issues accessing an object's array values - returns null or 0s

    The function below should return an array of objects with this structure: TopicFrequency = { name: "Chemistry", //This is dependent on topic data: [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12] //This would be real data }; so when I do this: myData = this.getChartData("line"); it should return two objects: {name : "Chemistry", data : [1,2,3,4,51,12,0,0, 2,1,41, 31]} {name : "Math", data : [0,0,41,4,51,12,0,0, 2,1,41, 90]} so when I do console.log(myData); it's perfect, returns exactly this. However when I do console.log(myData[0].data) it returns all 0s, not the values. I'm not sure what this issues is known as, and my question is simple what is this problem known as? Here is the full function. Somethings were hardcoded and other variables (notable server and queryContent) removed. Those parts worked fine, it is only when manipulated/retreiving the returned array's values that I run into problems. Right now I am getting the text value of that element, which is not what I need: var getAllCookies = $('.cookie').text(); var cookiesArray = jQuery.makeArray(getAllCookies); alert(cookiesArray[0]); What I need is to find all elements of a certain class (.cookie), get that elements ID value and store that ID value inside of array.
