  Does cassandra replicates only on write procedure (with choosen consistency level)? Is there any auto-replicate option for absent nodes, if i want symetric data in every node? If I plug in new node to cluster there is no auto replication - how to sync data from others nodes with new one? If I want replication like multimaster (2 nodes) with slave backup (1 node) known from MySQL, what is the proper logic setup and manage that on cassandra (3 nodes)? How about two nodes?

• what's the right way to cause a subview to redraw when the device orientation changes?

  I have a view controller with a view and one subview. When the device orientation changes the view auto-redraws but the subview doesn't. If I explicitly do [subview setNeedsDisplay] it redraws but I don't have a logical place to put that call in my code. And, since I don't have to explicitly tell the view to redraw, it seems counter-intuitive to tell the subview to redraw. Is there a way to make the subview auto-redraw when the view redraws?

  Take for the following for example: <GridSplitter Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Background="Yellow" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Width="Auto" Height="Auto" Grid.RowSpan="3" ResizeDirection="Columns etc etc This will create a GridSplitter across the 3 rows that I have in my grid. However, it's conceivable that I might add another row to my grid at a later stage, and I don't really want to go back and have all of my rowspans. My first guess was Grid.RowSpan="*", but that doesn't compile. Does anyone know the answer to this off hand?

• Div not expanding even with content inside

  I have a stack of divs inside of each other, all of which have an ID which specifies CSS only. But for some reason the surrounding DIV tag only expands to it's anointed height value, and not it's default auto, meaning that although the content is inside, the backing DIV is only a specific height. I need it to adjust the heigh to the size of whatever is inside of it (As there will be user submitted data being echoed out possibly in paragraphs with 500+ words.)   Is there some way I can stop Chrome from auto populating input boxes? I have a page with a Sign Up form and a Log In form. In Chrome, if a user has already signed up and they've come to this page to log in, the password input box on the sign up form is populated with their password. I would really like to force the sign up fields to never auto complete. I've tried setting autocomplete="false" but this makes no difference.

• Problems with mailenable when sending to yahoo mail

  I'm testing sending emails from mailenable webmail. I have no problems sending mail to gmail or hotmail, both work fine, but yahoo mail sends my messages to the spam folder and shows the attachment icon for the message even though the message doesn't contain any attachments, it's just plain text. It only includes a reply to a previous message, like this: message text ----- Original Message ----- original message text I copied the message content and sent it from gmail to yahoo and the attachment icon didn't show which makes me believe it's something with mailenable. What could possibly be wrong? Also, is there a white list for yahoo mail that I can join? And also for other popular webmail? I'm going to use this on a production website (site visitors use the contact us form to send messages to the site - the mail enable server running on the same machine as the web server - then I check the messages using the mailenable webmail and reply them). This is really important to me, your help would be really appreciated ...

When I try to ping the server from client computer A I get the following: PING 74.208.192.xxx ==> Ping fails PING 74.208.192.xxx:80 ==> Ping succeeds! From client computer B, BOTH the pings fail. PING 74.208.192.xxx ==> Ping fails PING 74.208.192.xxx:80 ==> Ping fails with a message "Ping request could not find host 74.208.192.xxx:80" Both clients A and B are on the same subnet. The server is outside (a virtual server hosted by an ISP) I have an ASP.NET application in a virtual directory on the server. In IE or firefox, if I enter http://74.208.192.xxx/subdir/subdir/../Default.aspx, it works from both the clients! The server has default firewall settings but web server enabled (Port 80 is open). From client A (note the different 'reply to' address when the ping succeeds.   I have a HyperV Server hosting a Domain Controller VM (192.168.1.50) and another VM (192.168.1.51) joined to this domain. I have: domain controller as DNS server forward lookup zone for the domain with host record for 192.168.1.50 and 192.168.1.51 Windows client has primary DNS server set to 192.168.1.50 and secondary to my ISP I can ping 192.168.1.50 (domain controller) successfully but cannot ping 192.168.1.51 (domain-joined VM) When pinging from Windows client: ping 192.168.1.51 Reply from 192.168.1.129 : Destination host unreachable When pinging from Domain Controller: ping 192.168.1.51 Reply from 192.168.1.50 : Destination host unreachable I have 2 virtual network adapters one PRIVATE for intranet (set to static IP 192.168.1.51) and one PUBLIC for internet with a dynamic IP. I noticed the the PUBLIC one inherited the "mydomain.com" domain subtitle after joining the domain... I don't know what this meant but it seemed more intuitive to me to switch THIS ONE to have the static IP. After I configured that I still could not ping but now I get: ping 192.168.1.51 Request timed out What seems to be the issue, I'm relatively new to networking.

• "Manual threading" in Thunderbird?

  I use Thunderbird's threaded view of email messages to group emails together which are related. However, sometimes people will reply to messages using some mail program which does not properly set the headers to tell it's a reply, or will even write a new mail instead of replying. In these cases I would like to manually assign or "dock" a mail to an existing thread. Is there some way / addon to do this in Thunderbird? I'm thinking along the lines of a context menu "attach mail to thread XXX". The mail would then become part of that thread (maybe with a special marker explaining that it was manually grouped).

When a user A comment to a post, the poster will get an email notification from '[email protected]' with the comment message written by user A. (Not spam) I really like Google Apps but they have sending limits 2000 sending per day, that is not suit for my case becuz I cannot have sending limits. My web application will host in linode, I am considering "Amazon Simple Notification Service" for the email notification. My questions are Any other recommend email service provider suits my case for me?   Stick with me on this one, I couldn't think of a correct way to ask the question! I have a domain registered, but it isn't attached to a hosting package or e-mail account. I will do soon, but not at the moment. Right now, I would like to set up an e-mail forwarding scenario. So, I could have the email [email protected] forward to [email protected]. I know this much is possible. What I would like to do, is using the gmail account is to keep the forwarded e-mail address when replying. So when I reply to emails sent to gmail through my e-mail forwarding, I would like any reply to say it came from [email protected] instead of [email protected]. Is this possible? If so how would I go about it?

  I have the need to configure a Windows XP Embedded system in order to dismiss modal MessageBoxes with a default reply. I am aware of the EnableDefaultReply feature but I need to be more selective on which MessageBoxes to dismiss or select the default reply on some criteria (example: name of the window). My biggest problem right now is that: If do not enable the EnableDefaultReply feature: some background services pop up dialogboxes which are never dismissed and block the application If I enable the EnableDefaultReply feature: I am no longer able to logon to the system if another user is logged in (a MessageBox popups asking if you want to steal the logon and the default answer is NO). Do you have any experience you can share with this problem?
