  • .Net concurrency performance on client side

    I am writing a client side .Net application which is expected to use a lot of threads. I was warned that .Net performance is very bad when it comes to concurrency. While I am not writing a real-time application, I want to make sure my application is scalable (i.e. allows many threads) and somehow comparable to an equivalent cpp application. Anyone can share his experience? Anyone can refer me to a relevant benchmark?

  • EJB client can't find a DataSource that tests successfully in WebLogic admin console

    Disclaimer: I'm completely new to JEE/EJB and all that, so bear with me. I have a simple EJB that I can successfully deploy using JDeveloper 11g's integrated WebLogic server and a remote database connection (JDBC). I have a DataSource named "PGY2" defined in WebLogic, and I can test it successfully from the admin console.     How do you cache an aspx page call on the client? The aspx page returns an asset and looks like this: http://srv-edu-build/edumatic3/dev/RetrieveBlob.aspx?assetId=31809&assetFileId=9823 We have tried with Output Cache, with caching in the code behind, but the only result we get is server side caching (by IIS7). In the header of the response cache-control is set to public and expiration time is set (to 14800 as set in output cache profile).

I've seen some example code online but can't seem to really make sense of it. Also I was wondering if there is a difference between setting it up on a Windows machine compared to another type of OS.
