  • What do I use if a CSS framework or grid is bad?

    Reference this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/203069/what-is-the-best-css-framework-and-are-they-worth-the-effort Do I go back to the "old" way of manually creating a template or downloading free ones again. For a little bit I thought a grid was the new thing and the best, now it appears I am wrong after all and not sure of best practice. And, yes, I can write my own CSS but didn't want to create the infrastructure if I didn't have to.

  • How do I make a suckerfish/superfish CSS dropdown that sticks to the right hand side of the page?

    I am developing a CSS dropdown menu based on the suckerfish CSS. I would like to put it on the right hand side of the page but the menus extend from the leftmost edge of each menu to the right, instead of from the rightmost edge of each menu to the left (as is necessary to keep the rightmost dropdown menu from opening outside the visible area.) How do I position my suckerfish dropdown menus to extend to the left, instead of the right?

  • $_GET['page'] loading content incorrectly

    OK so here is my previous post PHP Templated Site w/ file_get_content links now i got that issue resolved BUT the problem is now that the content loads it displays UNDER the div i placed #CONTENT# inside so the styles are being ignored and it's posting #CONTENT# outside the divs at positions 0,0 any suggestions? Found out whats happening by using "View Source" seems that it's putting all of the #CONTENT#, content that's being loaded in front of the tag. Like this <doctype...> <div class="home"> blah blah </div> <head> <script src=""></script> </head> <body> <div class="header"></div> <div class="contents"> #CONTENT# < where content SHOULD load </div> <div class="footer"></div> </body> so anyone got a fix?   • Convert html/css print media display to .doc with appropriate page breaks?

    I'm looking to export a page that looks good in print media, to word. Can this be done automatically, or mostly automatically with office apis? The alternative is to create a program that reads all our style meta data and font meta data and convert to word and force a download. The issue is our style metadata is already built for css, its a web app after all. And writing my own css parser, doesn't sound like a good use of time.

    Hi there. I'm using a very simple CSS dropdown menu which works well in most modern browsers. Unfortunately it must also work in IE6 and 7, which it currently does not. But the CSS use the *width hack to define the dimension. But this hack can only filter whether the browser is IE but not the real rendering mode IE is on.

    So I'm trying to prototype a marketing page and I'm using bootstrap and the new font awesome file. The problem is when I try to use an icon all that gets rendered on the page in a big square.
