  • Printing with Zebra Printer

    I am trying to print a bitmap image on a zebra printer (TLP-2844-Z) and it comes out incredibly blurry and faint but when I print it on a laser printer it looks fine. Also, when I printer plain text to the zebra printer or the test page it comes out crystal clear. Is there something I am doing wrong?

    Upgraded to Windows 7 and lost the ability to print to my old but still perfect Brother HL-1440 laser printer. I cannot run in XP compatibility mode with my version of Windows (Home Professional). Is there anything that can be done to get printing to work? I just want to print via USB but there is no Windows 7 driver.

    We are struggling to print Student's Theses on our HP CLJ CP4025 Printers (It will only let us print 1 at a time & typically they need multiple copies). Supposedly the solution is to install the optional Hard Drive. My question is: a) Does a hard drive on the printer make a significant difference? b) Can we use any old hard drive or do we have to use the rather pricey HP High performance EIO units?

  • Looking for a AutoZoom browser plugin

    I have a pretty large 24" wide screen with a pretty high resolution. When I browse, some sites have a fixed layout and there is basically a narrow column. So I typically zoom in to the point just before the level where I have to scroll horizontally. Is there a browser plugin that auto-zooms in (or via a button or gesture or whatever) to the max available real estate? I'd prefer a plugin for Chrome, but Firefox will do too.

    If I need to print a colored document on a black and white printer, then which one of these options do you think is better: desaturating the document first and then sending it to printer giving the print command on the colored document only (trusting the printer for the job) I know most of us use the second option.     I am sick of buying cheap host-based printers that have bloated drivers, randomly fail to print, and won't work over a network. Is it possible to get a good color network printer for under $200 that doesn't have those problems? I don't care if it's laser or inkjet; I don't print enough for the ink cost to matter. I just want something that I can plug into my network, set up sharing on my PCs, and forget about.

    Hi, I am trying to control a desktop (HTPC) using my laptop. I currently use Teamviewer, but it is pretty slow. I used to use window remote desktop connection and it was pretty fast. The problem with window remote desktop connection is that it does not support realtime. By "Realtime", I mean it does not display what I am doing on the computer being controlled. Any suggestions?

Any ideas?

  • iPhoto printing PDFs sideways

    When I print to PDF from iPhoto (7.1.5), my scans (which are all portrait) all end up sideways in the PDF file. I've searched high and low for some setting that will alter this. The only one that I could find that would plausibly affect this is the Layout menu item in the Print customisation view, but this has no effect. Even rotating the images doesn't change it. Why is iPhoto printing my PDFs sideways, and how do I get it to stop?

    One of my neighbors asked me to help them setup this old printer on their computer (thier other printer is broken) so after fighting with it for about an hour but to no avail. It seems as though they require local administrator privileges to do so, however Ive been instructed not to give them that. They can print normally from their desktop without issue. I tried the following: Restart the computer Restart the printer Delete the entry from the printing queue From the printing queue choose Printer\Cancel All Documents Right click the print job and choose Pause The status of the printing job now reads "Deleting - Paused - Printing". Nothing I do seems to get rid of this stuck printing job. What should I do?

  • Why do my VMware Images get so large?

    Hi, I have a Centos VMware Image that I have recreated a couple times, and I notice that after a while it gets pretty large. It starts out at 8 GBs when I make it, and a week or two later it is 25GB and then a month later it is a whole 50GB or so. I am not installing anything crazy on it, and my disk usage on the VM is pretty low. Is there an option that could be affecting the size of these VMs?

  • Windows 7 Picture Printing. All pictures are landscape, when they should be Portrait

    I have recently upgraded from XP to 7 and I am having trouble printing out some pictures. In XP, if I were to select some pictures for printing the program would keep their orientation, and print them no problem. Now with Windows 7, even if I select 1 picture to print in the same (wallet size (35)) it rotates the picture. Is there anyway to rectify this within Windows? I did take a screenshot, but as a new user I can't post it.

Each table should fit on one page, but both Firefox and Safari want to break them over multiple pages and put more than one on a page. Is there any way to force it to not break the tables across pages? I can use any Mac program to print. Thanks.
