  • Split big Apache log to folder structure

    I just changed my Apache log behavior because it was making me having very BIG files... So I now use cronolog to split my logs to log/httpd/2012/11/access_2012.11.30.log for exemple, pattern : %Y/%m/access_%Y.%m.%d.log I now want to split my old 42GB file to the same structure but really don't know how to do that efficiently. I tried some simple commands with cat, egrep, awk... but really don't know how to handle all that in a more powerful script. Here is how the log looks like : x.x.237.134 - - [08/Apr/2011:14:43:09 +0200] "GET... x.x.50.15 - - [08/Apr/2011:14:43:09 +0200] "GET... [...] x.x.254.19 - - [28/Feb/2012:15:24:48 +0100] "GET...   • Access: Reading deleted record buffer

    According to the Access (2003) documentation, when you delete a record, it's placed in a buffer, then the BeforeDeleteConfirm event is raised, then the AfterConfirmDelete ad Delete events. In my table if a record is deleted, I need to add one of its field values (a quantity value) to a field in another table. I tried setting the quantity to a private variable in the Current event, but as soon as I delete click delete, it looks like the Current event fires again and resets my variable. How can I access the value of a field in a deleted record?

  • Help Reading Binary Image Data from SQL Server into PHP

    I cannot seem to figure out a way to read binary data from SQL server into PHP. I am working on a project where I need to be able to store the image directly in the SQL table, not on the file system. Currently, I have been using a query like this one: INSERT INTO myTable(Document) SELECT * FROM OPENROWSET(BULK N'C:\image.jpg', SINGLE_BLOB) as BLAH This works fine to actually insert the image into the table, but I haven't yet figured a way to retrieve it and get my image back. I am doing this with PHP, and ultimately will have to make a stored procedure out of it, but can anyone enlighten me on a way to get that binary data (varbinary(MAX)) and generate an image on the fly. I expected it to be simple to use a SELECT statement and add a content-type to the headers that indicated it was an image, but it's simply not working. Instead, the page will just display the name of the file, which I have encountered in the past and understand it to be an error with the image data.

    Hi, I need to deploy a Windows Forms application using ClickOnce deployment. (VS2008, .NET 3.5) And I need to provide a configuration file for this app that any user can modify. For this reason, I am using Application Settings instead of standard appSetttings in app.config so I can separate the the user config from app config. see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms228995(VS.80).aspx Creating a Settings.settings file using VS generated a class with hard-coded default values like this: [global::System.Configuration.DefaultSettingValueAttribute("blahblah")] public string MyProperty ... WTF? I want to read the default values from the app.config! So I created my own class deriving from ApplicationSettingsBase but I cannot get this to read values from the app.config. Any ideas?

    A Named Pipe Server is created with hPipe = CreateNamedPipe( zPipePath, PIPE_ACCESS_DUPLEX, PIPE_TYPE_BYTE | PIPE_WAIT | PIPE_READMODE_BYTE, PIPE_UNLIMITED_INSTANCES, 8192, 8192, NMPWAIT_USE_DEFAULT_WAIT, NULL) Then we immediately call: ConnectNamedPipe( hPipe, BYVAL %NULL ) Which blocks until the client connects. Then we proceed directly to ReadFile( hPipe, ... The problem is that it takes the Client takes a finite amount of time to prepare and write all the fcgi request parameters. This has usually not completed before the Pipe Server performs its ReadFile(). The Read file operation thus finds no data in the pipe and the process fails. Is there a mechanism to tell when a Write() has occurred/finished after a client has connected to a NamedPipe? If I had control of the Client process, I could use a common Mutex, but I don't, and I really do not want to get into I/O completion ports just to solve this problem! I can of course use a simple timer to wait 60m/s or so which is usually plenty of time for the wrote to complete, but that is a horrible hack.

    I have a struct with a dynamic array inside of it: struct mystruct{ int count; int *arr; }mystruct_t; and I want to pass this struct down a pipe in C and around a ring of processes. When I alter the value of count in each process, it is changed correctly. My problem is with the dynamic array. I am allocating the array as such: mystruct_t x; x.arr = malloc( howManyItemsDoINeedToStore * sizeof( int ) ); Each process should read from the pipe, do something to that array, and then write it to another pipe. The ring is set up correctly; there's no problem there. My problem is that all of the processes, except the first one, are not getting a correct copy of the array. I initialize all of the values to, say, 10 in the first process; however, they all show up as 0 in the subsequent ones. for( j = 0; j < howManyItemsDoINeedToStore; j++ ){ x.arr[j] = 10; } Initally: 10 10 10 10 10 After Proc 1: 9 10 10 10 15 After Proc 2: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 3: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 4: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 5: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 1: 9 10 10 10 15 After Proc 2: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 3: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 4: 0 0 0 0 0 After Proc 5: 0 0 0 0 0 Now, if I alter my code to, say, struct mystruct{ int count; int arr[10]; }mystruct_t; everything is passed correctly down the pipe, no problem.     Hi, I have some inherited code which stores SMTP server, username, password in the system.net/mailSettings/smtp section of the Web.config. It used to read them like so: Configuration c = WebConfigurationManager.OpenWebConfiguration(HttpContext.Current.Request.ApplicationPath); MailSettingsSectionGroup settings = (MailSettingsSectionGroup)c.GetSectionGroup("system.net/mailSettings"); return settings.Smtp.Network.Host; But this was failing when I had to deploy to a medium trust environment. So following the answer from this question, I rewrote it to use GetSection() like so: SmtpSection settings = (SmtpSection)ConfigurationManager.GetSection("system.net/mailSettings/smtp"); return settings.Network.Host; But it's still giving me a SecurityException on Medium trust, with the following message: Request for ConfigurationPermission failed while attempting to access configuration section 'system.net/mailSettings/smtp'. To allow all callers to access the data for this section, set section attribute 'requirePermission' equal 'false' in the configuration file where this section is declared. So I tried this requirePermission attribute, but can't figure out where to put it. If I apply it to the <smtp> node, I get a ConfigurationError: "Unrecognized attribute 'requirePermission'. Note that attribute names are case-sensitive." If I apply it to the <mailSettings> node, I still get the SecurityException. Is there any way to get at this config section programatically under medium trust? Or should I just give up on it and move the setting into <appSettings>?
