My family and friends (as opposed to work) I generally send with no subject, and it is REALLY annoying that it constantly asks me "Really send with no subject?" How can I turn this off?? Thanks!

    I'm using Google Apps for my domain's e-mail via IMAP. Whenever I send mail to a mailing list, I don't receive a copy of my own mail back in my inbox. According to Google, this is a "feature." Is there a way to disable this "feature" so that all mail I send to mailing lists appears in my inbox just like all other e-mail? Perhaps something along the lines of this method for disabling Google's spam filter??

    I am trying to capture multicast traffic via Wireshark (actually TShark), however the switch has IGMP snooping enabled and will only send Multicast traffic on the ports that have an active IGMP subscription. I am currently getting around this by having a separate application hold the groups open I wish to record, but I am trying to set up a system to start/stop recording data dynamically and this extra complexity is painful. Is there a way to force Wireshark to send out IGMP Subscriptions for multicast groups it is recording?

    I am quite new in setting up e-mail server on linux - I barely set up the whole think to get it working and connected it with my domain and php script which uses PHPMailer 5.2.1. In my setting I am using smtp server from my web provider (domain) and all e-mail which are not defined (trash) are sent on one simple address like I have address [email protected]. So when somebody will send email to [email protected] it will be forwarded again to [email protected] even in case of failure. I am receiving emails like: Hi.     I've got a SHELL script which is using a pipe to separate my 2 commands: ssh -oBatchMode=yes user@hostname "mysql -u yop -pyop -c yop | echo test" The problem is even if my connection to mysql doesn't work, it send the echo test. I would like to forbid my script to send any command if the previous command doesn't work. I search with a if condition but it seems it not possible with it :( Does anyone have an idea ?     I have a mail server running on my box. I have webmail access, as well as ability to send mail thru a client. When I send mail thru a web interface (roundcube) it attaches its own headers, so the sender is kept anonymous. When sending mail thru Outlook, or Thunderbird, it attaches its own header, which lists the IP address, computer name, etc. Is there a way to ahve postfix strip these outgoing headers, and replace them with the standard "web mail" header that I get with roundcube?

    So I use a custom Hotmail domain name. Sometimes I send emails to people but they never reply. I ask these people and they say that they never got the email. It's like packets are being dropped somehow. I just send regular emails from the online email application. One thing to note is that most of the time the dropped emails are the emails that have not been sent to other Hotmail users.
