jquery problem where the returned data from an XML file seems inaccessible

Hi all, I'm using an xml file to generate some links which i would like to then be able to click on to populate an input box: $(xmlResponse).find('types').each(function(){ var id = $(this).attr('id'); var type = $(this).find('type').text(); $('<span title=\"'+type+'\" class=\"type\">'+type+'</span>').appendTo('#types'); }); $('span.type').click(function() { var title = $(this).attr('title'); $("input[name='type']").val(title); }); But for some reason clicking on the liks does not populate the input box. It does work if the span is hard coded into the page for example: <span title="text to populate" class="type">test</span> I'm guessing that the XML is not getting loaded into the DOM in the right way (or something like that) Any Ideas?

If I have skill data set up in a tree format (where earlier skills are prerequisites for later ones), how would I display it as a tree, using php? The parent would be on top and have 3 children. Each of these children can then have one more child so its parent would be directly above it. I'm having trouble figuring out how to add the root element in the middle of the top div, and the child of the children below each child of the root. I'm not looking for code, but an explanation of how to do it. How to implement EntityDataSource Where IN entity sql clause

I want to pass a number of values into a parameter of the EntityDataSource, e.g.: Where="it.ORDER_ID IN {@OrderIdList}" (this is a property on the EntityDataSource) <WhereParameters> <asp:ControlParameter Name="OrderIdList" Type="Int16" ControlID="OrderFilterControl" PropertyName="OrderIdList" /> </WhereParameters> This doesn't work as ORDER_ID is of type int32 and I need to pass in multiple values, e.g. {1,2,3} etc The next thing I tried was setting the Where clause in code-behind and this all works except I can't get data binding on DropDownLists to work. By this I mean no value is returned from the bound dropdownlists in the EntityDataSource Updating Event. My ideal solution would be to use a WhereParameter on the EntityDataSource but any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tony. Suppose Items and ItemTypes have numeric primary keys ItemID and ItemTypeID. Each Item is assigned an ItemType. I have a JQGrid to edit Items. When not in edit mode, I would like to see the name of the ItemType, not the ItemTypeID: TYPE | TITLE -----------+-------------------- Category A | Item 1 Category A | Item 2 Category B | Item 3 Category B | Item 4 In edit mode, I want to see a dropdown that displays the ItemType text, but that returns the ItemTypeID to the server. Rewriting URL's in codeigniter with url_title()?

I am rewriting my website with codeigniter and have something I want to do but not sure it is possible. I have a gallery on my site powered by the Flickr API. Hello, all. I need to migrate data from a Plone-based portal to Liferay. Has anyone some idea on how to do it? Anyway, I am trying to retrieve data from Data.fs and store it in a representation easier to work, such as JSON. To do it, I need to know which objects I should get from Plone's Data.fs. I already got the Products.CMFPlone.Portal.PloneSite instance from the Data.fs, but I cannot get anything from it. The buttons I have added to the rows still post back even if I specifiy not to do so in the onclick method of the button (onclick=' return false;'). I supose its the grid doing the post back? ACL actions tag cause 'roles resource tree' draw incorrectly in admin/system/permissions/roles

Hi, We created new action similar to 'hold', 'ship' and others in the 'sales_order/view' admin section that can be triggered by clicking at the button. Afterward, we added our new action to the ACL with the following code in config.xml: <acl> <resources> <admin> <children> <sales> <children> <order> <children> <actions translate="title"> <title>Actions</title> <children> <shipNew translate="title"><title>Ship Ups</title></shipNew> </children> </actions> </children> <sort_order>10</sort_order> </order> </children> </sales> </children> </admin> </resources> </acl> ACL functionality works, however, in the 'Resources Tree'(System/Permissions/Roles/Role Resources) our new action does never show up as selected(checked) even thou it is allowed for particular Role. I can see that from table 'admin_rule' with resource id for our new action that it is allowed, so it needs to be selected, but it is not. When trying to solve this issue i looked into the template(permissions/rolesedit.phtml) and I found that the 'resource tree' is draw with Javascript...thats where i got stock due to my limited knowledge in Javascript. Why the resource tree does not display our new ACL entry correctly, that is the check box is never checked? Thank You for helping margots

JQUERY: Setting Active state on animated menu tabs

I have image sprites that use JQuery to set the BG position on mouseover and mouseout events. When I set the active state BG position using JQUERY it works fine until I move my cursor away from the active 'tab' which then fires the mouseout event animation. What I want is the mouseClick event to stop the animation on the active tab but still allow the animation effect to work on the other tabs, and when another tab is clicked for the active state to be removed from the current tab to the new 'active' tab. I'm new to Linq and I'm trying to query a XML document to find a list of account managers for a particular user. I know that I can get either of the two, but my problem is selecting both. Django: how to cleanup form fields and avoid code duplication

Quite often I need to filter some form data before using it (saving to database etc.) Let's say I want to strip whitespaces and replace repeating whitespaces with a single one in most of the text fields, in many forms. It's not difficult to do this using clean_<fieldname> methods: # Simplified model with two text fields class MyModel(models.Model): title = models.CharField() description = models.CharField() # Model-based form class MyForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = MyModel def clean_title(self): title = self.cleaned_data['title'] return re.sub(r'\s{2,}', ' ', title.strip()) def clean_description(self): description = self.cleaned_data['description'] return re.sub(r'\s{2,}', ' ', description.strip()) It does exactly what I need, and has a nice side effect which I like: if user enters only whitespaces, the field will be considered empty and therefore invalid (if it is required) and I don't even have to throw a ValidationError. The obvious problem here is code duplication. Even if I'll create some function for that, say my_text_filter, I'll have to call it for every text field in all my forms: from myproject.filters import my_text_filter class MyForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = MyModel def clean_title(self): return my_text_filter(self.cleaned_data['title']) def clean_description(self): return my_text_filter(self.cleaned_data['description']) The question: is there any standard and simple way in Django (I use version 1.2 if that matters) to do this (like, for example, by adding property validators = {'title': my_text_filter, 'description': my_text_filter} to MyModel), or at least some more or less standard workaround? I've read about form validation and validators in the documentation, but couldn't find what I need there.
