  I'm looking for any database framework/library for .net which will act as a unified layer between an application and databases. Please note that I'm not interested in querying/updating data (there is plenty of DALs for that) but rather a framework which allows me to manage table schemas and indexes in a managed fashion (without using database specific SQL). I'm particularly interested in a library which supports Oracle, SQL Server and PostreSQL.

I've done a lot of reading into the various patterns suggested for development, somthing that has split the team at the moment is when using Entity Framework should the classes be passed through the applciation layers so that a view accepts an Entity Framework class or should these classes be mapped to BLL Classes and if so at which point (Controller or Library) should this be done?   We do not use a Maven framework in our environments. Can you suggest a way to use the Jersey test framework for testing the Rest web services? I have tried to override the TestContaioner and TestContainerFactory interfaces to set up an AppDescriptor but I fail to understand how to set the LowLevelDescriptor to use the HTTPContainerFactory instead of the default one. I tried also settign the System property jersey.test.containerFactory. Does not work?Any ideas?

I can't find anything that tells me what settings to use to get the build process to copy the headers into Headers directory in the framework, or alternately where I have to put those files.
