  I am looking for any software which converts the voice to the text. I can get some software which can easily convert the english launguage voice to English text. But my intention is be it any language, whatever the system gets voice that should give the output in the text format in English. Is it possible to get this kind of software? If yes any open source available to help me to use this? If not, Is this feasible to develop this kind of software, Can any one guide how to and where to begin with?   New to Android need help with one solid build that I can refer to and study for future projects. The first activity is a background image with a button,when clicked the it takes you to the second activity which is a form with 5 data fields and 2 buttons. One button calls an intent to take a picture within the app and one button that submits the data from the form along with the picture to URL. lastly a third activity that says complete thank you. I can make some of this but don't know how to link button or open and merge camera with the app to be sent as a package of data. I suppose I could also hook into GPS acquire location as well as the camera call?

  Hi. I want to launch my own media player application when I want to watch a video from Youtube. When I write android:scheme="http" and android:host="m.youtube.com" it is OK. But, it asks everywhere in m.youtube.com to open my app. So, it gets annoying. I tried to use pathPattern, pathPrefix and path to solve this but I didn't get ahead. All I want is clearly this: When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F%gl=US#" the intent filter shouldn't launch my app. When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=k3Cdqx1qFX8" my application should be launched. Is there anyone that can help me?

• Program visible to Linux as normal directory

  I'm trying to write program to work as programmable directory, in other words: User, or other systems open that directory and read/write files or dirs. I try to create program to cache most used files in memory (less I/O to HDD), but right now I don't know how to achive that. There are probably some docs about this but I can't find them.   I have an ASP.NET page with a jQuery dialog that is displayed to change some data. I am setting up the jQuery dialog so that when the user clicks the OK button it calls ASP.NET's Page_ClientValidate('validationGroup') via javascript, finds all the invalid controls and changes their CSS class. So here's the scenario: the user opens the dialog, keys in some invalid data, clicks OK (receiving the validation messages), and then clicks Cancel. Now the dialog is closed, but the validation messages are still there, so that when they open the dialog again, the data goes back to the way it was initially, but the form is still in the invalid state (the validation messages are still displaying). What I need is a "reset" function of sorts to call after calling Page_ClientValidate('validationGroup'). Does this exist?

• JavaScript apparently waits for each AJAX call before sending another in a loop

Straight to the point: I have this javascript: for(item=1;item<5;item++) { xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); xmlhttp.open("GET",'zzz.php', true); xmlhttp.send(); } And in PHP file something like this: usleep(5);die('ok'); Now the problem is javascript seems to be waiting for each ajax call to be completed before sending another one. So the first response gets back after approx. 5 seconds, next after 10 seconds and so on. That's a very simplified version of what I do, since the real script involves using cURL in PHP and jQuery as JS lib. But the problem remains the same. Why do responses come back in 5 second intervals?

  I am designing an image decoder and as a first step I tried to just copy the using c. i.e open the file, and write its contents to a new file. Below is the code that I used. while((c=getc(fp))!=EOF) fprintf(fp1,"%c",c); where fp is the source file and fp1 is the destination file. The program executes without any error, but the image file(".bmp") is not properly copied. I have observed that the size of the copied file is less and only 20% of the image is visible, all else is black. When I tried with simple text files, the copy was complete. Do you know what the problem is?

• How can I send an array of strings from one ASP.NET page to another?

  Hello. I now have two asp.net pages. When I click on a link on page A, I open the other one (let's call it page B). When I do this, I want to send some information from Page A to Page B in the form of an array of strings. This array is different depending on what link I follow on Page A. I know I could send this information via the URL with the ?string1=bla1&string2=bla2 etc., but I don't want it that way, as it can get complicated if there are too many strings in the array. I think there is something similar, like a POST in PHP, but how would that be in ASP? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Cheers!

  In Cocoa, my application's main window has a button. How can I make it so when you click it, a new window will be generated and set focus to such window so that the main window can not be clicked or interacted with at all? This new window will have a textfield and a submit button. You click it and the window is supposed to close and send the textfield's data back to the main window (and it will recover focus as well).   I am having trouble accessing the data field. I receive the error: Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control. I can get the value but using <%# getOpenJobs((string)Eval("ParentPart")) % but I need to use it in the if to display a certian picture if it passes the condition. • App Engine - Save response from an API in the data store as file (blob)

  Hi there, I'm banging my head against the wall with this one: What I want to do is store a file that is returned from an API in the data store as a blob. Here is the code that I use on my local machine (which of course works due to an existing file system): client.convertHtml(html, open('html.pdf', 'wb')) Since I cannot write to a file on App Engine I tried several ways to store the response, without success. Any hints on how to do this? I was trying to do it with StringIO and managed to store the response but then weren't able to store it as a blob in the data store. Thanks, Chris

• Using a JSON web service from a Java client application

  I am developing a client-side Java application that has a bit of functionality that requires getting data from some web services that transmit in JSON (some RESTful, some not). No JavaScript, no web browser, just a plain JAR file that will run locally with Swing for the GUI. This is not a new or unique problem; surely there must be some open source libraries out there that will handle the JSON data transmission over HTTP. I've already found some that will parse JSON, but I'm having trouble finding any that will handle the HTTP communication to consume the JSON web service. So far I've found Apache Axis2 apparently which might have at least part of the solution, but I don't see enough documentation for it to know if it will do what I need, or how to use it. Maybe part of the problem is that I don't have experience with web services so I'm not able to know a solution when I see it. I hope some of you can point me in the right direction. Examples would be helpful.

  Hello all, Does file_get_contents maintain line breaks? I thought it did but I have tried this: if($conn){ $tsql = file_get_contents('scripts/CreateTables/SLR05_MATCH_CREATETABLES.sql'); $row = sqlsrv_query($conn, $tsql); print_r(sqlsrv_errors()); } The errors I get is that SQL Server complains that there is incorrect syntax. I get the same errors when I run the SQL Script without any line breaks, which suggests file_get_contents removes them? When I run the script normally (open the file in SQL Server Management Studio) and execute it, it works perfectly. So is there something that I can use that maintains line breaks etc? Or is there another problem here in using queries from a file with the SQL Server PHP Driver from Microsoft? Thanks all for any help

  I'm trying to pull in an src value from an XML document, and in one that I'm testing it with, the src is: <content src="content/Orwell - 1984 - 0451524934_split_2.html#calibre_chapter_2"/> That creates a problem when trying to open the file. I'm not sure what that #(stuff) suffix is called, so I had no luck searching for an answer. I'd just like a simple way to remove it if possible. I suppose I could write a function to search for a # and remove anything after, but that would break if the filename contained a # symbol (or can a file even have that symbol?) Thanks!

  I am storing documents in sql server in varbinary(max) fileds, I use filestream optionally when a user has: (DB_Size + Docs_Size) ~> 0.8 * ExpressEdition_Max_DB_Size I am currently zipping all the files, anyway this is done because the Document Read/Write work was developed 10 years ago where Storage was more expensive than now. Many files when zipped are almost as big as the original (a zipped pdf is about 95% of original size). And anyway unzipping has some overhead, that becomes twice when I need also to "Check-in"/Update the file because I need to zip it. So I was thinking of giving to the users the option to choose whether the file type will be zipped or not by providing some meaningful default values. For my experience I would impose the following rules: 1) zip by default: txt, bmp, rtf 2) do not zip by default: jpg, jpeg, Microsoft Office files, Open Office files, png, tif, tiff Could you suggest other file types chosen among the most common or comment on the ones I listed here?
