    Hi, i have created a new adsense account for my blog [link removed as is loaded with ads, popups and who knows what kind of XSS] and integrated ads with my blog. But i am getting page impressions zero. i am getting daily analytic's of 300 to 400 visitor/day still page impression are coming zero only. i have verified my pub-id. i don't no what is the problem. how to contact Google adsense team regarding this. please help me out in this. -Thanks

  • Printing the second page from a Calc sheet

    I've created a simple invoice document in LibreOffice Calc and it consists of 2 pages. I have defined the print range for my document as: $A$1:$D$33,$D$34:$D$35 My first page holds the actual invoice information the second page is a single merged cell holding terms and conditions text (wrapped to the cell width). The second page is defined by a row break. When I export the sheet as a PDF the first page comes out great but the second page with the terms text is all wrong. On the left hand side I see a portion of text (looks like a single column) and when I select the text inside the PDF I can see it go of the page somewhere to the left. I get the same result in a print preview. I'm at a complete loss on how to approach this problem and any insight is much appreciated.

  • Yandex frequently replaces page names with ampersands

    The Yandex spider is a frequent visitor to one of the sites I manage. On ocassion it replaces the page name with two ampersands and a space. So if the page is: /mypage.aspx?param=value then it will try and crawl it as: /&& ?param=value Any idea why it is doing this? [EDIT] If I remember correctly the IP that this "mistake" is coming from is based in California and not Russia. I believe that they crawl US sites from a US based IP address. Not sure if that helps.     I have read the Google page event documentation, but I am not sure I understand it correctly. I am new to Google analytics, and I have two questions: Once I have google analytics enabled for my site (i.e. I have inserted the tracking code in my pages etc), do I need to set anything else up (at the Google end - i.e. in my Google analytics account) It is not clear to me how the event data particularly, relating to how the data can be aggregated and analyzed. For instance, if I want to track an event under category category for click action action, I will use the following code snippet: <a href="some-uri.htm" onclick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'category', 'action', 'label']);">Do Something</a> For the sake of simplicity, lets say I am interested in monitoring click events in my header and footer, and I want to find which pages the header and or footer is clicked most often. How would I set things up so that I can analyze the header/footer clicks aggregated at the page level?

  • Authentication for users on a Single Page App?

    I have developed a single page app prototype that is using Backbone on the front end and going to consume from a thin RESTful API on the server for it's data. Coming from heavy server side application development (php and python), I have really enjoyed the new different design approach with a thick client side MVC but am confused on how best to restrict the app to authenticated users who log in. I prefer to have the app itself behind a login and would also like to implement other types of logins eventually (openid, fb connect, etc) in addition to the site's native login. I am unclear how this is done and have been searching - but unsuccessful in finding information that made it clear to me. In the big picture, what is the current best practice for registering users and requiring them to login to use your single page app? Once a user is logged in, how are the api requests authenticated? Can I store a session but how do I detect for this session in the API calls? Any answers to this would be much appreciated!

  • Why am I getting domainpark.cgi being called from my website?

    I used to test my site on www.exampleone.com and now I have moved to the real domain www.realdomain.com now and www.exampleone.com is now parked by 1and1 (default). Now when I test to see which requests are made by the www.realdomain.comI see domainpark.cgi and park.js from Sedo Parking also being requested as well as the js that serves the ads by adclicks. How do I get rid of this? It's not on the index page at all, and it's causing a lot of strain and slowing my site down.

    Possible Duplicate: Pidgin, how to set up facebook I've tried almost all options and used this guide (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pidgin#Facebook_XMPP) to set up Pidgin for my facebook acccount, but it is simply impossible. At the username section I am using my actual username....not the long copied link from facebook...so that cannot be the issue. Is there anyone out there who had had issues of the same type? Thanks

  • WebFX: Running JavaFX as web page

    This weekend I wanted to learn JavaFX, so I decided to code an idea I had a few years ago when I first saw JavaFX Script. So I started coding a web browser that runs HTML with the awesome, HTML5 supported WebView. But this browser also offers one extra feature: it loads FXML files as if they were HTML. So instead of defining your web page with HTML and running with WebKit, you can define a web page with FXML+CSS+JS and run as a JavaFX application. The project is called WebFX and already has a prototype on GitHub. I also uploaded a video on YouTube demonstrating the idea. What do you think about using JavaFX in the future for web pages, instead of HTML?

  • why google ignore my links page?

    I have a website, where im loading all the data via AJAX. since, google doesn't work with AJAX, and the ways to make it AJAX-friendly are a bit odd, i thought that by creating a links page, where it links, from server side, to all the links that im loading in ajax - will solve the problem. but unfortunately, that doesnt seem to work. google webmaster shows that even though my links page discovered, the content of it - the links - are totally ignored. I can only assume that google tend to ignore links in such pages. my question is - WHY?! and furthermore, how to overcome this. Thanks.

  • Kindle for PC - page loading problems

    When viewing books in Kindle for PC, often going to the next page will change the line count at the bottom of the screen but not refresh the page view. Then, if you hit next again, you end up on the next next page (+2 rather than +1). This happens to me going backwards as well. Using arrow keys, or mouse clicks, or page down/up all creates this error. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the occurrence other than "frequently". It happens on my Win7 64 bit and Win XP machines. I've only one Kindle book at the moment, PHP Object-Oriented Solutions by David Powers, so I suppose it could be a problem specific to that book. Does anyone else have this issue? It is extremely irritating to be constantly flipping back and forth just to get the page view to show the proper page.

As webmasters should be let google and other search engine INDEX our member's dashboard and edit account page. For example my member John has access to a page name "Edit your account" where he can fill some fields and updates his info. Or another pages where John can manage his posts (edit, delete) Such pages have no interest to the other people so should be let google and others INDEX it or should we NOINDEX it ?     On 3rd of Nov 2012 somebody started this thread : http://forums.hostgator.com/advice-needed-new-account-t214566.html?t=214566 subject "Advice needed on new account". I visited it on 5th and when I saw the total views I was stunned to see figure of 80,000( while other threads were having views from 50-300). I even made a post using name of rag_gupta. Then I simply typed in Google in IE (I work on Firefox) : Advice needed on new account ---- and yes this same page was in no#1 position. Subsequently I tried to create similar wording article in Hubpages to see how it'd fare. Unfortunately it was not allowed to be published. Then I published in blogger.com. But hardly any hits. Considering only the first two posts in the thread what could have driven google to rank it highly?

    I'm wondering how best to optimize my Joomla site's SEO. I have pages with multiple articles on each page. Either via category-type pages, or via modules. In each case, I'm not wanting users to access the articles separately from the forward facing, menu-linked pages. I understand however that Joomla still generates a url for those articles, and Google can still crawl and display these articles separate from the pages. My question is what is the best way to control this so that my users get directed only to the front-facing pages? By using the canonical element for each article to point to the front-facing page it's on? Or is there a better method? Thanks for your help!

  • SEO penalty for landing page redirects

    Using ebay as an example- lets say I have a large number of items whose URLs' look like this: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1981-VW-Vanagon-manual-seats-seven-/250953153841 I want to give my client the ability to put links to these items on their website EASILY, without knowing or checking my URL. So I created a redirect service that will map their identifier with my URL: ebay.com/fake_redirect_service/shared_identifier9918 would redirect to the link above. This works great- my clients can easily setup these links with information they already have, and the user will see the page as usual. So on to the problem... I'm concerned that this redirecting service will have a negative impact on my SEO ranking. Having a landing page redirect you immediately to a different URL seems like something a typical spam site would do. Will this hurt me? Any better solutions?

  • Login and redirect to user home page [migrated]

    The problem I can't currently solve is when a user logs in. They arrive at the site (index.php) and enter username and password, which gets submitted via a Post form back to index.php - if there are incorrect details then they get an error message. But if successful then I would like them to be taken to their user home page - but I can't do this! I am left presenting them with a link to the home page, which is more than a little clunky. Seems there must be an obviously solution - never seen a site before that didn't redirect! Not sure is the answer is PHp, HTML, or Javascript.

    I've been working on a rather large scale project which makes use of a number of different pages with some very specific Javascript for each of them. To lessen load times, I plan to minify it all in to one file before deploying. The problem is this: how should I avoid launching page specific JS on pages which don't require it? So far my best solution has been to wrap each page in some additional container <div id='some_page'> ...everything else... </div> and I extended jQuery so I can do something like this: // If this element exists when the DOM is ready, execute the function $('#some_page').ready(function() { ... }); Which, while kind of cool, just rubs me the wrong way.
