    I'm doing some research for a JavaScript project where the performance of drawing simple primitives (i.e. lines) is by far the top priority. The answers to this question provide a great list of JS graphics libraries. While I realize that the choice of browser has a greater impact than the library, I'd like to know whether there are any differences between them, before choosing one. Has anyone done a performance comparison between any of these?

    I am trying to create a piece of software that can be used to create VERY large (10000x10000) sized bitmaps. All I need is something that can work in monochrome, since the required output is a matrix containing details of black and white pixels in the bitmap. The closest thing I can think of is a font editor, but the size is a problem. Is there any library out there that I can use to create the software, or will I have to write the whole thing from the start?

My biggest problem is reading the MIDI data in from a file, and I'd like to avoid writing all the import code.     Hello, I would like to know how can I import songs from a web service into Android library without having to download the file into sdcard. I have all the data from the web service but I do not know how to integrate the tracks into Android database. My idea is not to have to download the files, but playing them on streaming using the music player. Do I need to download the tracks to the sd card and then Android does all the stuff?     Is there a way to embed multiple dependent assemblies into a single one for projects written on the following platform types: Windows Store Apps, Windows Phone 8, Portable Class Library? I know that for regular .Net projects there is ILMerge, but on the aforementioned project types it doesn't work. Embedding assemblies as resources and then manually resolving the references using AppDomain.CurrentDomain.AssemblyResolve is not possible either, since AppDomain is not available in these types of project.

    When a user moves the Google map, I would like to display items in the viewing range of the user automatically. How can I efficiently and quickly display the items? I have basic understanding of calling getBounds() method every time the user moves the map, but I am not sure how I can efficiently search and get from my database the items within the lat/lng of the bounds of the current viewport. Is there easier and faster way of doing this?

  • Why do custom styled Google Maps (v3) not support marker animation (pin drop)?

    For example, I cannot combine the concepts of this simple example: link text with the concepts of this example: link text, which uses the styled V3 api. In Chrome I get an error saying that: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'DROP' of undefined And it refers to this line of code: animation: google.maps.Animation.DROP, When I replace the javascript link reference to use the version of the API from the first example, the error goes away, but I lose the custom styling.
