  • WS-Security using the ASMX file in ASP.NET 3.5

    Basically I need to setup my ASMX file so that when I pull it up in a browser to display the WebMethod specification the Soap Header conforms to this format: <soap:Header> <wsse:Security> <wsse:UsernameToken wsu:Id='SecurityToken-securityToken'> <wsse:Username>Username</wsse:Username> <wsse:Password>Password</wsse:Password> <wsu:Created>Timestamp</wsu:Created> </wsse:UsernameToken> </wsse:Security> </soap:Header> Back-story: I'm integrating with a client application that is already built (and owned by another company). Basically this client application already has their soap messages all set up from its past integrations with other companies. So we've opted to just build a web service using an ASMX file that matches the WSDL that they're already setup to consume. Is it possible to get WS-Security working on an ASMX file or is ASMX too simplistic and I have to upgrade to WFC (which I really don't want to do)?

  • jQuery Datatables throws error when dynamically created row headers

    I am using the Datatables jquery plugin for one of my projects. For one in particular, the number of columns can vary based on how many children a consumer has (yes I realize normalization and proper technique would insert on another row but it is a client requirement). UPDATE REGARDING COMMENTS/ANSWERS I have received a number of responses indicating the number of headers may not match the field count in the body. As I mention below, eliminating the php script below altogether would eliminate 5+ fields in the header and without question throw the count match off balance. This DOES NOT however cause an error and in fact "resolves" the issue in that datatables functions properly (even though there is NO header record for 5+ fields in the body.

  • Automatic multi-page multi-column flowing text with QtWebkit (HTML/CSS/JS -> PDF)

    I have some HTML documents that are converted to PDF, using software that renders using QtWebkit (not sure which version). Currently, the documents have specific tags to split into columns and pages - so whenever the wording changes, it is a manual time-consuming process to move these tags so that the columns and pages fit. Can anyone provide a way to have text auto-wrapped into the next column/page (as appropriate) when it reaches the bottom of the current container? Any HTML, CSS or JS supported by QtWebkit is ok (assuming it works in the PDF converter). (I have tested the webkit-column-* in CSS3 and it appears QtWebkit does not support this.) To make things more exciting, it also needs to: - put a header at the top of each page, with page X of Y numbering; - if an odd number of pages, add a blank page at the end (with no header); - have the ability to say "don't break inside this block" or "don't break after this header" I have put some quick example initial markup and target markup to help explain what I'm trying to do. (The actual documents are far more complicated than that, but I need a simple proof-of-concept before I attack the real ones.) Any suggestions? Update: I've got a partially working solution using Aaron's "filling up" suggestion - I'll post more details in a bit.

  • Setting CommandTarget to selected control in a TabControl

    I have a WPF window with a few buttons and a tabcontrol having a tab for each 'document' the user is working on. The tabcontrol uses a DataTemplate to render the data in ItemSource of the tabcontrol. The question: If one of the buttons is clicked, the command should be executed on the control rendering the document in the active tab, but I've no idea what I should set CommandTarget to. I tried {Binding ElementName=nameOfControlInDataTemplate} but that obviously doesn't work.   • How should I implement lazy session creation in PHP?

    By default, PHP's session handling mechanisms set a session cookie header and store a session even if there is no data in the session. If no data is set in the session then I don't want a Set-Cookie header sent to the client in the response and I don't want an empty session record stored on the server. If data is added to $_SESSION, then the normal behavior should continue. My goal is to implement lazy session creation behavior of the sort that Drupal 7 and Pressflow where no session is stored (or session cookie header sent) unless data is added to the $_SESSION array during application execution. The point of this behavior is to allow reverse proxies such as Varnish to cache and serve anonymous traffic while letting authenticated requests pass through to Apache/PHP. Varnish (or another proxy-server) is configured to pass through any requests without cookies, assuming correctly that if a cookie exists then the request is for a particular client. I have ported the session handling code from Pressflow that uses session_set_save_handler() and overrides the implementation of session_write() to check for data in the $_SESSION array before saving and will write this up as library and add an answer here if this is the best/only route to take. My Question: While I can implement a fully custom session_set_save_handler() system, is there an easier way to get this lazy session creation behavior in a relatively generic way that would be transparent to most applications?

    Hi, I'm trying to edit my sidebar.php file in my current them WP is using to display the last # of posts (only the titles) as links. I tried using the example of http://codex.wordpress.org/Integrating_WordPress_with_Your_Website but I always get the error on the line that states where the file wp-blog-header can be found. the error when opening the index blog page where the sidebar should be shown: // Get the last 3 posts. Warning: require(/blog/folder/wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /blog/folder/wp-content/themes/default/sidebar.php on line 7 So what is wrong?   • Browser: Cookie lost on refresh

    I am experiencing a strange behaviour of my application in Chrome browser (No problem with other browsers). When I refresh a page, the cookie is being sent properly, but intermittently the browser doesn't seem to pass the cookie on some refreshes. This is how I set my cookie: $identifier = / some weird string /; $key = md5(uniqid(rand(), true)); $timeout = number_format(time(), 0, '.', '') + 43200; setcookie('fboxauth', $identifier . ":" . $key, $timeout, "/", "fbox.mysite.com", 0); This is what I am using for page headers: header("Last-Modified: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s") . " GMT"); header("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate"); // HTTP/1.1 header("Expires: Thu, 25 Nov 1982 08:24:00 GMT"); // Date in the past Do you see any issue here that might affect the cookie handling? Thank you for any suggestion. EDIT-01: It seems that the cookie is not being sent with some requests. This happens intermittently and I am seeing this behaviour for ALL the browsers now. Has anyone come across such situation? Is there any situation where a cookie will not be sent with the request? Thanks again, for any guideline.

    I've created three templates using Twig. The first one has block A defined in it, the second one extends from the first one, but includes a third template which sets the content of block A. When loading, through the browser, the url which renders b.html.twig, the content in block A (defined by the 3th template) is not positioned block _A is defined.     I'm learning to use raw sockets, and im trying to prase out the tcp header data, but i can't seem to figure out what res1, ece, and cwr are. Through my networking book and google i know what the rest stand for, but can't seem to find anything on those three. Below is the tcphdr struct in my includes area.   • Image Grabbing with False Referer

    Hey guys, I'm struggling with grabbing an image at the moment... sounds silly, but check out this link :P http://manga.justcarl.co.uk/A/Oishii_Kankei/31/1 If you get the image URL, the image loads. Go back, it looks like it's working fine, but that's just the browser loading up the cached image. The application was working fine before, I'm thinking they implemented some kind of Referer check on their images. So I found some code and came up with the following... $ref = 'http://www.thesite.com/'; $file = 'theimage.jpg'; $hdrs = array( 'http' = array( 'method' = "GET", 'header'= "accept-language: en\r\n" .   • Trouble compiling C/C++ project in NetBeans 6.8 with MinGW on Windows

    I am learning C and because VC++ 2008 doesn't support C99 features I have just installed NetBeans and configure it to work with MinGW. I can compile single file project ( main.c) and use debugger but when I add new file to project I get error "undefined reference to ... function(code) in that file..".   • How to specify a parameter as part of every web service call?

    Currently, each web service for our application has a user parameter that is added for every method. For example: @WebService public interface FooWebService { @WebMethod public Foo getFoo(@WebParam(name="alwaysHere",header=true,partName="alwaysHere") String user, @WebParam(name="fooId") Long fooId); @WebMethod public Result deletetFoo(@WebParam(name="alwaysHere",header=true,partName="alwaysHere") String user, @WebParam(name="fooId") Long fooId); // ... } There could be twenty methods in a service, each with the first parameter as user. And there could be twenty web services. We don't actually use the 'user' argument in the implementations - in fact, I don't know why it's there - but I wasn't involved in the design, and the person that put it there had a reason (I hope). Anyway, I'm trying to straighten out this Big Ball of Mud. I have already come a long way by wrapping the web services by a Spring proxy, which allows me to do some before-and-after processing in an interceptor (before there were at least 20 lines of copy-pasted boiler plate per method). I'm wondering if there's some kind of "message header" I can apply to the method or package and that can be accessed by some type of handler or something outside of each web service method.   • How to link pnglite library in c?

    Hi, I installed from kubuntu's package management this handy pnglite library. It contains just one header file "pnglite.h" and one object file "pnglite.o". I have found out where those files are, but I don't know how to link them. I'm using netbeans, but don't know how to link them in there. Also I don't understand how to link them at console. I have a little test program that I would like to test, but I get the error message "undefined reference to function: XXXXXXX". Both netbeans and at console I'm using gcc. That header file is in /usr/include directory, object file is in /usr/lib directory and my test program is under my programming directory at my home directory. Should I put that header and object into the same directory as where my source is? Or is there a way to link them from their current locations? I know that it should be possible to link them from where they are at the moment and I would like to know and understand how to do that. Any help will be appreciated :)

    I'm getting some cyclic reference (I think) problems between a few classes that require imported headers due to either subclassing or protocol definitions. I can explain why things are set up this way but I'm not sure it's essential. Basically these classes are managing reciprocal to-many data relationships. The layout is this: Class A imports Class B because it's a delegate of Class B and needs its protocol definition. Class B imports Class C because it's a subclass of Class C. Class C imports Class A because it's a delegate of Class A and needs its protocol definition. Here's some sample code that illustrates the problem.   • putting <%=yield %> in a partial for ajax jquery calls

  • XSL transformation generating output from other nodes

    I have the following XSL template: <xsl:template match="SOAP-ENV:Body/*[local-name()='Publisher']"> <html> <xsl:call-template name="body" /> </html> </xsl:template> The previous template generates the output I want, it's generating the tags containing the output generated by the "body" template. The issue I'm having is that before the opening tag I'm getting text output from a previous node. Not sure why this is happening since I'm not selecting these other nodes. For example: <SOAP-ENV:Header> <!-- Many child nodes here--> </SOAP-ENV:Header> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <publishParty:Publisher> <!-- Many child nodes here--> </publishParty:Publisher> </SOAP-ENV:Body> Given the previous sample XML fragment, my output would contain what I would expect of formatting the Publisher element, but I'm also getting the text nodes of the children of the SOAP-ENV:Header node. Any ideas? Thanks!

    OK, I'm working with converting some very basic PHP to port to a dev server where the client only has CF. Also in my CSS (main.php) I have (at the top): <?php header('Content-type: text/css'); foreach($_GET as $css_property => $css_value) {define(strtoupper($css_property),$css_value);} ?> and im using those constants like this: #main-content a {color:#<?= LINK_COLOR ?>;} How can I get that to work also with CF? Never thought I'd be working with CF :)

    Several other questions on SO have come to the same conclusion I have -- using an ItemsControl with a DataTemplate for each item constructed to position items such that they resemble a grid is much simpler (especially to format) than using a ListView. Presumably it is making a few layout passes to get all the Auto-width columns to match up. This is very distracting for my users and I'd like to get it sorted out. Has anyone else seen this?

Any hep will be greatly appreciated.

  • Fulfilling strange requirements with CSS (kind of simulating frames)

    Hi! I'm struggling to find a way to code a site according to our strange requirements. The site should be displayed correctly in all browsers from IE6 to Opera. The website is structured in three parts. It contains a header at the top, a navigation on the left an the rest of the screen should be filled with the content section. The following picture should help you better understand my description. Here comes the kicker: Each of the three sections should be scrollable separately and no browser scrollbar should appear. The page should be displayed similar as if it would use frames. Of course, on a big enough screen, no scroll bars should appear. It doesn't matter which way is used to display the site, although frames aren't an option an divs would be preferred. There are two conditions: The site should always fill the whole browser screen. The header and the content section should reach to the right border of the page, and the navigation as well as the content to the bottom. As soon as the site is scaled down -- whether due to resizing the browser window or due to a smaller resolution -- a scrollbar for every single section should appear, but no "browser scrollbar" for the whole page. The header should always retain it's height and the navigation always it's width. Do you know a way how all this can be achieved? Yours Bernhard

  • Looking for a very simple file-based CMS

    I'm building a site for a friend for free, and am trying to work out a good way for her to be able to easily make updates. I haven't used any CMSs before. I was browsing the web today looking at some, and they all seem way too complicated for what I'm after. Basically, all I want is a really simple CMS that pulls together HTML snippets in particular subdirectories, and wraps them in header/footer HTML and inserts them into a template page in the appropriate section. I'm imagining a site layout something like this: / /index.php /blog_template.php /news_template.php /blog/ /blog/header.php /blog/footer.php /blog/my-first-blog.html /blog/blogs-rule.html /blog/... Say index.php contains div#blog. PHP would wrap each /blog/*.html file in /blog/header.php and blog/footer.php, and insert them into the div#blog as div#blog([0-9]*). I haven't been able to find anything this basic, and am one step away from throwing something together myself, but I'm a bit short on time at the moment and figured I'd post here first. Has anyone come across something like this? I don't want any DB, extensions, user accounts, installation, config, updates... just a simple file based solution. Thanks :) Forgot to mention - needs to be FOSS and run on Linux!

  • Qt 101: Why can't I use this class?

    I have experience with C++ but I've never really used Qt before. I'm trying to connect to a SQLite database, so I found a tutorial here and am going with that. In the QtCreator IDE, I went to Add New -- C++ Class and in the header file pasted in the header the header from that link and in the .cpp file I pasted the source. My main.cpp looks like this: #include <QtGui/QApplication> #include "mainwindow.h" #include "databasemanager.h" #include <qlabel.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { QApplication a(argc, argv); MainWindow w; w.show(); DatabaseManager db(); QLabel hello("nothing..."); if(db.openDB()){ hello.setText("Win!"); } else{ hello.setText("Lame!"); } hello.resize(100, 30); hello.show(); return a.exec(); } And I'm getting this error: main.cpp:13: error: request for member 'openDB' in 'db', which is of non-class type 'DatabaseManager()' Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know "copypaste" code isn't good, I just wanted to see if I could get DB connectivity working and I figured something like this would be simple... thanks for the help.
