  I've started my career as a Java developer, then moved to Asp.NET and recently to the Asp.Net MVC, which I like a lot. When developing in Java I used Struts1, which I remember as a hideous framework with loads of XML. Now I suspect that Java MVC frameworks have moved on from the Struts times. So how do modern Java MVC frameworks compare to the ASP.Net MVC? Which one of them is the most similar to the Asp.Net MVC?

Therefore, I need Java programs---in best case used in production---and appropriate benchmarks. For instance, I already got HyperSQL and measure its performance by the benchmark program PolePosition.   I have a Java website, now Ive build an uploader, the validation for JPG images is done and a way to save it into the server it is too. But now I need to create an utility class using isGIF and isTIFF validated them by byte[] and convert that byte[] to java.awt.Image to save as JPG So basically I need boolean isGIF(byte[]), boolean isTIFF(byte[]), java.awt.Image convertGIF(byte[]) and java.awt.Image convertTIFF(byte[]). But I have no idea how to do it, could someone help me please? Thank you!

  I am working on sending and receiving from clients and servers in java, and am stumped at the moment. the client socket is to contact a server at “localhost” port 4321. The client will receive a string from the server and alternate spelling the contents of this string with the server. For example, given the string “Bye Bye”, the client (which always begins sending the first letter) sends “B”, receives “y”, sends “e”, receives “ ”, sends “B”, receives “y”, sends “e”, and receives “done!”, which is the string that either client or server will send after the last letter from the original string is received. After “done!” is transmitted, both client and server close their communications. • Using custom .jar's in your java project

  Hi guys, I'm importing from two jar's twitter4j-2.0.10.jar and mysql-connector-java-5.1.10-bin.jar, I'm running the code on a server but it's not letting me. I get a.. Streamer.java:9: package twitter4j does not exist import twitter4j.StatusDeletionNotice; ^ error when compiling. I know this has something to do with getting java to recognise my custom jar's but I don't know how to get java to "see" them. Any ideas?
