  • Shell loops using non-integers?

    I wrote a .sh file to compile and run a few programs for a homework assignment. I have a "for" loop in the script, but it won't work unless I use only integers: #!/bin/bash for (( i=10; i<=100000; i+=100)) do ./hw3_2_2 $i done The variable $i is an input for the program hw3_2_2, and I have non-integer values I'd like to use. How could I loop through running the code with a list of decimal numbers?

    I'm looking to post the following type of data to a server using JQUERY & Coldfusion: foodID - int foodDESC - text html text from a WYSIWYG (CKEDITOR) --there will always be just 1 foodID and foodDESC per POST to the server but there can be a variable number of: locationID - int LocationDesc - text --There can be 0-8+ of these. Should I send this in one post or multiple posts? If one post, what's the smartest way to do this? I'm never had to deal with this much data before. Thank you

    I have a script where I need to take a user's password and then run a command line using it. I need to backslash all (could be more then one) non-alphanumeric characters in the password. I have tried several things at this point including the below but getting no where. This has to be easy, just missing it.   • Harvesting Dynamic HTTP Content to produce Replicating HTTP Static Content

    I have a slowly evolving dynamic website served from J2EE. The response time and load capacity of the server are inadequate for client needs. Moreover, ad hoc requests can unexpectedly affect other services running on the same application server/database. I know the reasons and can't address them in the short term. I understand HTTP caching hints (expiry, etags....) and for the purpose of this question, please assume that I have maxed out the opportunities to reduce load. I am thinking of doing a brute force traversal of all URLs in the system to prime a cache and then copying the cache contents to geodispersed cache servers near the clients. I'm thinking of Squid or Apache HTTPD mod_disk_cache. I want to prime one copy and (manually) replicate the cache contents. I don't need a federation or intelligence amongst the slaves. When the data changes, invalidating the cache, I will refresh my master cache and update the slave versions, probably once a night. Has anyone done this? Is it a good idea? Are there other technologies that I should investigate? I can program this, but I would prefer a configuration of open source technologies solution Thanks

    Hi, I have a rewrite rule to get clean urls.. the only problem is, google shows some dynamic url and i dont want to serve dynamic urls.     I have a database table that is a dictionary of defined terms -- key, value. I want to load the dictionary in the application scope from the database, and keep it there for performance (it doesn't change). I gather this is probably some sort of "struct," but I'm extremely new to ColdFusion (helping out another team). Then, I'd like to do some simple string replacement on some strings being output to the browser, looping through the defined terms and replacing the terms with some HTML to define the terms (a hover or a link, details to be worked out later, not important). Can anyone point me in the right direction of: How to define the stucture (if that is what I need for a key/value pair list) How to query at the application start-up and reuse the list properly The best way to do the string replacement

  • Can't seem to get .Union to work (merging 2 array's together, exclude duplicates)

    I want to combine two array's, excluding duplicates. I am using a custom class: public class ArcContact : IEquatable<ArcContact> { public String Text; public Boolean Equals(ArcContact other) { if (Object.ReferenceEquals(other, null)) return false; if (Object.ReferenceEquals(this, other)) return true; return Text.Equals(other.Text); } public override Int32 GetHashCode() { return Text == null ? 0 : Text.GetHashCode(); } } I implemented and the needed IEquatable interface as mentioned in this msdn section. I only want to check the Text property of the ArcContact class and make sure an Array of ArcContact have an unique Text.   • spidermonkey using JS_CallFunction for static function

    JS_CallFunctionName can call a method of an object by name: JSObject* obj; JS_CallFunctionName(cx, obj, "doSomething", argc, vp, retVal); The code above works fine if the "doSomething" is a function declared in the prototype of the "obj". What I want to know is if there is a way to call a function that is a "class function". I tried: if(JS_HasProperty(getGlobalContext(), getGlobalObject(), "ClassToGet", &b)) { print("OK"); } and the output is "OK". But when tried: JS_GetProperty(getGlobalContext(), getGlobalObject(), "ClassToGet", &jsOwner); if (jsOwner != JSVAL_VOID) { } the jsOwner is a JSVAL_VOID. Maybe there is a function in SpiderMonkey can execute function in a JSClass ? Any suggestion will be appreciated, thanks :)

  • ssrs: one static row matrix, multiple columns will not filter out nulls

    Using a ssrs 2005 matrix client side. I want to list the multiple addresses of one person, hence one row, multiple columns. The Column field is =Fields!StreetName.Value. The data details field is =First(Fields!StreetPrefix.Value) & " " & First(Fields!StreetName.Value). The datasource has a row for each address; however, some rows will have nulls since the datasource is composed of outer joins. The column grouping works, but the first column is always empty, (first 2 rows of datasource are null) addresses appear only after the empty column. I want to filter out nulls on the matrix, but its like the filter is ignored. I have also tried having the dataset return an empty string for a null streetname and setting the filter to =Fields!StreetName.Value != ="" but no difference. What am I missing?

  • [JavaScript] How can I load static configuration information

    In my code, I use JavaScript for UI and PHP for back end. I also use PHP to store application settings and sometimes my UI code needs to access this information. My configuration file looks something like this (config.php): $resolution_x = 1920; $resolution_y = 1080; etc... When I need to access any of these settings form JavaScript, i simply use to substitute the value directly, but it just doesn't strike me as very robust. Are they any dangers of doing this that I am not aware of? Is there a better way of doing this? Thank you,
