• Dashcode Web App: How to programmatically manipulate bound array in dataSource?

  Hi Everyone, I've started using Dashcode to write an interface for presenting the report data for some of our Cocoa tools. I am using a Dashcode data source and bindings to populate the elements in the WebView, and it all seems to be working well so far. One of the objects in my dataSource is an array of objects that I would like to manipulate programmatically. I can change the object values in the array just fine but if I want to replace the array, or any objects in the array, my bound table isn't able to observe the added objects. Here is the code that I thought would let me easily replace the bound array with new content: var dataSource = dashcode.getDataSource("reportData"); var newDetailArray = testArray(); dataSource.setValueForKeyPath(newDetailArray, "content.detailArray"); But this throws the exception: Exception while binding "content" to keypath "arrangedObjects " TypeError: Result of expression 'this.object.valueForKeyPath' [undefined] is not a function. Is there something I'm missing that will let me easily manipulate the array's contents programmatically?

  I've inherited some code that I need to debug. It isn't working at present. My task is to get it to work. No other requirements have been given to me. No, this isn't homework, this is a maintenance nightmare job. ASP.Net (framework 3.5), C#, jQury 1.4.2. This project makes heavy use of jQuery and AJAX. There is a drop down on a page that, when an item is chosen, is supposed to add that item (it's a user) to an object in the database. To accomplish this, the previous programmer first, on page load, dynamically loads the entire page through AJAX. To do this, he's got 5 div's, and each one is loaded from a jquery call to a different full page in the website. Somehow, the HTML and BODY and all the other stuff is stripped out and the contents of the div are loaded with the content of the aspx page. Which seems incredibly wrong to me since it relies on the browser to magically strip out html, head, body, form tags and merge with the existing html head body form tags. What is this code really trying to do? I am so turned around right now that I think my only option is to scrap everything and start over. But I'd rather not do that unless necessary. Is this code good? Is it working against .Net, and is that why we are having issues?

• Updating div after full page refresh following AJAX request

  Hi, I have an AJAX controller action which returns JSON. The returned JSON is handled via jQuery and contains a message displayed in an update div. The JSON also contains a flag which indicates a change in state. If this is true the entire page needs to be reloaded from a different url. This is currently performed in the jQuery using window.location.replace(url). In the situation where a full page refresh occurs, I still want to display the message from the JSON in the update div, but after the page has fully reloaded. How can I ensure the div is updated with the message after the window.location.replace call and the page has been completely reloaded? Thanks. (I realise AJAX is not intended for full page refreshes but I can't think of a simple way of avoiding it in this scenario. Normal behaviour here is updating the div with a status message.)

The start is empty, but I want the end point to be populated with the address from a div that I already have in the page. For the Oracle procedure, I specified a path for the GeneratedUserTypesAssemblyFilePath parameter to generate a DLL to contain the definition of the data types. In the Send Port on the server, I put the path to that Types DLL in the UserAssembliesLoadPath parameter. I created a map to translate the GetItemChanges() schema to the Update_Item_Region_Table() schema. When I run it the data is extracted and transformed fine but causes an exception trying to pass the data to the Oracle proc: *The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "WcfSendPort_OracleDBBinding_HOST_DATA_Procedure_Custom" with URL "oracledb://dvotst/". It will be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send Port. Details:"System.InvalidOperationException: Custom type mapping for 'HOST_DATA.TBL_OF_REC' is not specified or is invalid.* So it is apparently not getting the information about the custom data type TBL_OF_REC into the Types DLL. Any tips on how to make this work?

  hey regex guru's I have a data column that contains a substring similar to this: 'This is a string with ID=123 contained inside' i need to replace the ID=123 with another fixed string say ID=1 i have a working REPLACE call that swaps out the values correctly, but this only works on a known original id number. I can extend to make it work when the number of digits are known by using some substr magic, however, the id number may have an arbitrary number of digits, so i'm thinking regex. any help with the regex magix to grab the entire ID=999 substring no matter how many digits would be very helpful. thanks

• OutputDebugString + DebugView = not tabs!

  I am dumping \t delimited data using using OutputDebugString and then use ex-Sysinternals DebugView to capture it. The problem is that all the data in DebugView appear to be space delimited, hence I need to perfrorm CTRL+H "\x20" "t" to replace spaces with the tabs before I can use it (I really need tab delimited data). Is there anyway to tell DebugView not to replace tabs with spaces? Or maybe there is a better tool available to capture output of the OutputDebugString function? Any ideas are very welcome!

• Updating or inserting high scores in SQL

  I've been racking my brain over this for the past few days and I'm not sure it's possible, but figured I ask here. Is it possible for a single SQL statement to update a high score if your score is greater or insert it if your first score? My Score table has a UserID, Level and Score columns and I like it to follow the following logic: If your new score is greater than your last score for this Level, then replace it. If you don't have a score for this Level then add it. If your score for this Level is less than your highest score for this Level then do nothing. Is this possible in a single SQL statement or do I have to use two, one to see if you have a new high score and if so, replace it? Each UserID would have only one score in the table for each Level. I'm using MySQL.

  I'm experimenting with jquery and svg, I make up my path but now I want to change that (based on some user input) I do something like var dpath = $('path').attr("d"); $('path').attr("d",dpath.replace("150 150", "450 450")); which works fine, but this not useful when my path grows, so I wonder is there a possibility to put a label or a comment in the path to serve as a replace hook? searching for svg path comments gives me all.   I have a csv file with a number of columns. I am trying to replace the second column with the second to last column from the same file. For example, if I have a file, sample.csv 1,2,3,4,5,6 a,b,c,d,e,f g,h,i,j,k,l I want to output: 1,5,3,4,5,6 a,e,c,d,e,f g,k,i,j,k,l Can anyone help me with this task? Also note that I will be discarding the last two columns afterwards with the cut function so I am open to separating the csv file to begin with so that I can replace the column in one csv file with another column from another csv file. The problem is that the <p> tag can have attributes in it , such as <p align="center"> so I want to delete all occurrences of an opening tag of a paragraph, no matter what attributes are in it, and replace them with <br />. Given that array_to_string(l_myvar, ',') evaluates to 1,2 as shown, why arent these statements equivalent. From the error message it is something to do with datatypes, but doesnt the IN(variable) construct appear to be behaving differently from the = variable construct? What are the rules here? I know that I could build a statement to EXECUTE, treating everything as a string, to achieve what I want to do, so I am not looking for that as a solution. I do want to understand though what is going on in this example. Is there a modification to this approach to make it work, the particular example being to pass in an array of values to build a dynamic IN clause without resorting to EXECUTE? What I do: Go to line A: AG Yank line A: yy Go to line X: XG Paste line A: P Move to old line: j Delete old line: dd This has the additional disadvantage that line X is now in the default register, which is annoying if I find another line that should be replaced with A. Yanking to and pasting from an additional register ("ayy, "aP) makes this simple task even less efficient. My Questions: Did I miss a built-in Vim command to replace a line yanked before? If not, how can I bind my own command that leaves (or restores) the yanked line in the default register?

  I'm creating a PDF file from a txt-template with tcpdf ([Example 8][1]). The txt-template looks like this: SALUTATION FIRSTNAME LASTNAME STREET CURRENTDATE SOMEMOREINFORMATION MYWEBSITE I replace those markers with the correct value. So that it would look like this: Mr. John Doe Downingstreet 10 14th May, 2010 [email protected] www.stackoverflow.com In this example, when I replace the values, the indention of the date is dependent on the length of the street name (which I don't want). I could solve this issue with str_pad but the problem is, I normally use three columns and there are lines which only have content in col1 and col3 as in the last line. How can I solve that problem? Is there something like the "overwrite" function in Word, that when you write, the text just gets overwritten? Thanks in advance.
