    We did a frontpage update some days ago that caused the site to crash. The site was down for several hours. After troubleshooting, we concluded that we needed to cache more content. It had been run too many queries. After solving that and rebooting of server, we here in Sweden and Norway were again able to visit the site. But a colleague in Tunisia couldn't. It seems to work from another internet provider but not her own. What could have happened? And what should we do? Edit: I should add: She is able to visit the site through tunnel at anonymouse.org.

    I paid for a web site for my motel business, then due to my landlord actions I was placed in a position to file for bankrupcy. I asked my IT manager and web developer to close down the web site for the business. He has since then sold my web site to the new owners. I took all the photos myself and I am in at least 4 of the photos on the site. There are no changes to the site as I left it and it now states that it is under the copyright on the new owners? I am not sure what I should do as this happen 10 months ago and I have just found this out. Thank you for your help, I am in Australia.

I can use notepad, but I have to use mouse or alt-tab extensively in order to switch from notepad to the player to pause the movie.     I am putting together an Intranet for a company - I have set up authentication to get into the Intranet from a login box linked to AD via LDAP/ However the client wants (if possible) to have users automatically authenticate into the intranet if they are logged into the domain. AD and IIS7.5 are on separate servers (in the same network). I believe that I need to use WindowsAuthentication to do this - but will that work? as the web server is not part of the domain: do I need to tell IIS where the AD server is? The next part could be more complex: once the user has authenticated, I need to drag user details from AD about the user, I guess with LDAP, however I will need to know the user's username in order to do this, won't I? as the user hast had to type this in, how do I get that? The intranet site is in asp.net 4 VB.

    This question already has an answer here: Can you help me with my capacity planning? 2 answers We are a start-up and 6 month back we have launched our beta version website. Now we are in a phase of building our website and web-services for the final product. This website will be based on PHP, Python, MySql database and with wamp server. Right now in the beta version we are using Azure VM for hosting, with configuration of 786MB RAM and Shared CPU. We have 200 avg users daily coming to our website. Now we are trying to increase the number of users from 200 to 1500 daily users. And I am thinking our server should have capability to handle at least 100 concurrent user. Also we have developed web-services for our mobile-apps. Which can also increase loads on the sever. So here are the question that takes me here, I am pretty much confused about whether to go with shared hosting or VM based hosting. If VM, then what configuration will be best for our requirement (as I discussed above) ? Currently our VM is a Windows based server and its very simple to manage, So other than cost factor why should I go for Linux based sever? What other factor should I keep in mind while choosing the server as per our requirement ?

    I need to add photo-blog to a site that I'm recently working on. It is very simple site so the blog doesn't have to be very sophisticated. What I need is: a CMS that allows me to create simple blog-like news with one (or more) images at the beginning and some description/comment below.
