  • reading excel file in vb.net

    I have an activity which has a TabHost containing a set of TabSpecs each with a listview containing the items to be displayed by the tab. When each TabSpec is created, I set an icon to be displayed in the tab header. The TabSpecs are created in this way within a setupTabs() method which loops to create the appropriate number of tabs: TabSpec ts = mTabs.newTabSpec("tab"); ts.setIndicator("TabTitle", iconResource); ts.setContent(new TabHost.TabContentFactory( { public View createTabContent(String tag) { ... } }); mTabs.addTab(ts); There are a couple instances where I want to be able to change the icon which is displayed in each tab during the execution of my program. Currently I am deleting all the tabs, and calling the above code again to re-create them. mTabs.getTabWidget().removeAllViews(); mTabs.clearAllTabs(true); setupTabs(); Is there a way to replace the icon that is being displayed without deleting and re-creating all of the tabs?

    I am writing an eclipse plugin. How do I get the various images from eclipse library? So I don't have have keep a local set of images for the standard entities, e.g classes, interfaces, junits, etc. EDIT : I used PlatformUI.getWorkbench().getSharedImages().getImage(ISharedImages.IMG_OBJ_FILE) from the article : http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-Using%20Images%20In%20Eclipse/Using%20Images%20In%20Eclipse.html.     I am trying to embed an icon into my my WPF application so that I can pull it out for use as an icon in the Window 7 JumpList using the following code: newScene.IconResourcePath = System.Reflection.Assembly.GetEntryAssembly().Location; newScene.IconResourceIndex = 0; I've gotten it to work using the following method: http://dennisdel.com/?p=38 However, it doesn't seem like the best approach and it seems like there should be an easier way to embed an icon resource into my application while still leaving the "Icon and Manifest" option checked in the Application properties for my program. I've tried numerous methods including setting the icon build action as a resource and an embedded resource, but every time I open my .exe in a resource editor, the icon does not appear. Any suggestions?

    I've used %time% for timing previously - at least I think I have. I have this weird IF NOT "%1" == "" ( echo Testing: %1 echo Start: %time% sqlcmd -S MYSERVER -i test_import_%1.sql -o "test_%1%.log" sleep 3 echo End: %time% ) I run this, and it prints: Testing: pm Start: 13:29:45.30 End: 13:29:45.30 In this case, my sql code is failing (different reason), but I figure the sleep 3 should make the time increment by 3 at least. Any ideas? tx, tff

  • Determining whether a file is a duplicate

    Is there a reliable way to determine whether or not two files are the same? For example, two files with the same size and type may or may not be the same binarilly (yeah, I know it's not really a word). I assume that comparing one or two checksums of the files will help, but I wonder: How reliable are checksums at determining whether two files are different; what are the chances of two different files having the same checksum? Would reliability increase by applying additional checksum comparisons? Which checksum algorithm(s) would be the most efficient and/or reliable? Any ideas, suggestions or thoughts are appreciated! P.S. The code for this is being written in Java running on a nix system, but generic or platform agnostic input is most helpful.

I don't understand how to wrap the arrow with this: ui-state-default ui-corner-all because themeroller is using list items, and I'm using table head cells. I don't want to use: <th class="ui-state-default ui-corner-all"> because that highlights the entire cell.

  • Count the number of lines in a file with Ruby, without reading entire file into memory

    I'm processing huge data files (millions of lines each). Before I start processing I'd like to get a count of the number of lines in the file, so I can then indicate how far along the processing is. I am using Ruby, and because of the size of the files, it would not be practical to read the entire file into memory just to count how many lines there are. Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to do this?

  • Google Maps API : V2 : marker icons are not square

    I have generated a bunch of png files to use as markers on my site. However when I applied them using GIcon(). I see that they are squeezed such that the height is more than the width. This even though my png files are exactly 22x22 pixels. I don't think I have the resources to generate the whole set to fit the odd 20x34 or some such size. Is there any way this can be fixed ? I tried specifying a GSize() to unsqueeze them, but that didn't work.

    Hi I am currently needing to load the contents of a folders filenames to an arraylist I have but I am unsure as how to do this. To put it into perspective I have a folder with One.txt, Two.txt, Three.txt etc. I want to be able to load this list into an arraylist so that if I was to check the arraylist its contents would be : arraylist[0] = One arraylist[1] = Two arraylist[3] = Three If anyone could give me any insight into this it would be much appreciated.
