  • Auto-Insert double quotes for HTML attributes broken

    In VS2008, it used to be that whenever I was typing an html attribute in an .aspx page when I hit '=' a pair of double quotes was automatically inserted and the cursor placed inside them. I guess I've changed a setting, but I don't know what to change to get that functionality back. I am using Resharper if it makes a difference.

  • Javascript new keyword and memory management

    Coming from C++ it is hard grained into my mind that everytime I call new I call delete. In javascript I find myself calling new occasionally in my code but (hoping) the garbage collection functionality in the browser will take care of the mess for me. I don't like this - is there a 'delete' method in javascript and is how I use it different from in C++? Thanks.

    I've been following the Silverlight text editor sample with interest. It gives me a lot of functionality such as formatting, clipboard support, printing etc. The sample also allows for DataGrids to be inserted by using an InlineUiContainer. My problem is that the inserted DataGrid is disabled while my requirement is that the user can edit the contents of the DataGrid. How can I make InlineUiContainers that are inserted in a RichTextBox enabled?

    I have tried $('.selector').fancybox({ scrolling : 'no', titleShow : false, type : 'inline', content : '<p>hello</p>' But it did not work I have also tried adding the option onComplete: function() { $('#fancybox-inner').html(contents); } Except then when fancyBox is closed, it will not launch again. How can I dynamically set the contents of fancyBox, and retain all of it's functionality? Thanks

I need to control the behavior of each record based on that field content. For certain status the record should became read only, and only admin users should be able to edit / change it.     What library can I use to calculate dates based on date expressions? A date expression would be something like: "+3D" (plus three days) "-1W" (minus one week) "-2Y+2D+1M" (minus 2 years, plus one day, plus one month) Example: DateTime EstimatedArrivalDate = CalcDate("+3D", DateTime.Now); Where estimated arrival date would equal the current date plus 3 days. I have heard about JodaTime and NodaTime but I have not seen anything in them yet that does this. What should I be using to get this functionality in C#?

    Is sIFR supposed to wrap around floating images? I have some headings next to a large image float:left and the image bumps the headline down below it.     I have a requirement where in the JSP page itself is created by the user and stored in the database. When viewing results we need to render this JSP to the client, evaluating all tags inside this JSP. I am aware that it is doable as OpenCMS and Blogger both implement this functionality. But, I just can't find the right way. Any pointers on how to do this? [Added] Note: I cannot write a temporary file on disk for the purpose :(
