Is there some ultra fast "syntax check my code, but don't compile mode" for g++/clang? Where the only goal is to just check if the code I have is valid C++ code?
I've got a standard Rails app with Nginx and Mongrel running at http://mydomain. I need to run a Wordpress blog at http://mydomain.com/blog. My preference would be to host the blog in Apache running on either the same server or a separate box but I don't want the user to see a different server in the URL. Is that possible and if not, what would you recommend to accomplish the goal?
I'm coming at Lift from a Django point of view, so in Django parlence, I'm trying to find the Lift equivalent of reverse.
In generic terms, I have an instance of a model and I would like to get the URL that that model can be accessed at according to the SiteMap.
I've tried extending Loc, but that doesn't seem to have brought me further towards my goal.
I'm using the most recent 1.1 milestone (M8?).
I need to know the complete filename of a specific artifact in Maven. I looked at versions-maven-plugin but it seems to change the pom itself. Is there another way to reach my goal? I want to store the complete artifact name in a property so I can pick it up in Java code.
Hey all,
Ive been using ActiveMQ as a message broker and have been able to get Flex to subscribe to a topic and receive messages using this library and flexonrails.net/?cat=26 (cant add second link) as a guide.
However I've been unable to achieve the same goal in Flash. Does anyone know how to use this library in Flash or know any tutorials that could be of use?
Hi,
What I want to achieve is after loading my object from the database, to generate a code that will give me a block which initializes my object based on its current values so that I can use this code-block in my unit tests again and again without loading it from Db anymore.
Is there any tool around to achieve such a goal for VS?
thanks
I have a site that I'm optimizing using Google Website Optimizer where the goal is to have someone click on a link to download some software. But the google optimizer code that's provided will get triggered on any page where the link is on. Is there any way to have it execute only when someone actually clicks the download button? Thanks so much!
I had limited success myself. I was able to hype a few persons about Scala.
But in fact none of them made a meaningful effort to try to switch (usually from Java).
I would like to read both success and failure stories here.
Both long tries and short ones.
My goal is to find ways of presenting Scala to another person, friend, co-worker (not an audience) that will make them want to use this great language.
lets say you run third party program on your computer whitch create a process named example.exe
how do i determinate if this process is running and how many windows does he open? How do i intercept network communication between this windows and server?
my goal is to create an app whitch will be monitoring network trafic between example.exe and its home server in order to analyze data and save to database, and finally simulate user interaction to get more relevant data
The goal is to have an application that runs in the system tray and can either accept user input from its actual GUI (which isn't the actual issue) OR accept command line parameters (that would actually be done via a context menu in windows explorer). Now, while I'm aware that the command line parameters are not exactly possible once the application has started, I need a way to pass data to the already running application instance via some form of handler. I'm thinking maybe define and raise some sort of event?
Thanks in advance.
my lecture wants us to build module where we need to identify each read process and where the same read process called twice on the same writer massage we should insert him to an queue who's we wake up when all readers have read I achieved this goal by by using list of pid's and boolean read/not_read inside each node but he decided to be nasty and require us to it with some argument from FILE struct can you please help me ?....
i have two application

I'm preparing a short talk for a conference in august and I'm looking for open source projects that are using agile methods internally or have tried them in the past.
My goal is to talk about the things that work well and what won't work and promote the agile methods a little bit, because I think certain agile techniques are a good fit, but don't seem to be that common in real development.
So does anyone know projects that have tried agile methods and techniques before? I'd like to contact them for a few questions.
I'm getting a compiler error with bind:
using namespace std;
bool odp(int arg1, int arg2);
// ...
find_if(vec.begin(), vec.end(), tr1::bind(odp, iValue, _1)); // C2065
My goal is to curry odp(), so its first argument is iValue, and apply that function in find_if.
The error:
C2065: '_1' : undeclared identifier.
What am I doing wrong?
My goal is 2 folds
1. use ease of @Transactional on my services
2. use ease of declaring the transactional semantics in one place such as
I was wondering if these 2 can be mixed?
I would like to convert this /bin/sh syntax into a widely compatible Windows batch script:
host=`hostname`
echo ${host}
How to do this so that it'll work on any Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 machine?
To clarify: I would then like to go on in the program and use the hostname as stored in the variable host. In other words, the larger goal of the program is not to simply echo the hostname.
Hello there,
I've offered an out-of-job girl to help her study programming (with an MCSD as the ultimate goal) - and she has no progrmming knowledge. The idea is that she'll study from books and I"ll help.
Help- I need a gentle introduction to programming book, very easy, very practical, very hands-on and up to date. Optimally would be for the .Net 4.0 MS enviornment (C#,Visual Basic) but other alternaitves (Jave, Python etc.) are OK.
I was looking into Swiz framework and i felt the same of Spring. Just i felt the difference between these two is one is JAVA based and the other is Action Script based.
http://swizframework.org/
http://www.springsource.org/
My Question is:
Does the goal of the both framework is same?
Does the pattern they apply is same or different?
The concept of beans, dependency injection and IOC lies in both.
I cannot afford the Creative Suite or Flex Builder but I would like to develop a commercial Flex/ActionScript AIR application. Is this a viable goal and are there robust tools out there that don't cost a small fortune?
Have others done this? What am I missing out on without Adobe's pricey software?
Is there a goal one can execute that will just echo the version of a pom? I can think of a way to make it work using the maven-ant-plugin, but that requires me to have ant-plugin configuration in the pom and I would a method that would work with any pom.
Hi,
it seems that this question has been asked before, I just would like to know whether there is an update in Android.
I plan to write an audio application involving low delay audio I/O (appr. < 10 ms). It seems not to be possible based on the methods proposed by the SDK, hence is there - in the meantime - a way to achieve this goal using the NDK?
Best regards,
HK
I am new to maven and hit a problem that looks easy in the first place but I already kept me busy for a whole day about and no way to get it working.
First as part of running eclipse:eclipse plugin I create a linked folder like below:
<linkedResources>
<linkedResource>
<name>properties</name>
<type>2</type>
<location>${PARENT-2-PROJECT_LOC}/some_other_project/properties</location>
</linkedResource>
<linkedResource>
<name>properties/messages.properties</name>
<type>1</type>
<location>${PARENT-2-PROJECT_LOC}/some_other_project/properties/messages.properties</location>
</linkedResource>
And then I am adding that folder as a source folder like below:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>build-helper-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.7</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>add-source</id>
<phase>generate-sources</phase>
<goals>
<goal>add-source</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<sources>
<source>properties</source>
<source>some_real_folder</source>
</sources>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
However when I am looking at the generated .classpath in eclipse the “some_real_folder” is there but the “properties” is not. It looks like by default the build-helper-maven-plugin will check if the folder is there and if it is not it won’t add it.
I am using maven 3.0.4 outside eclipse to run the build and I can see in the maven logs something like this:
[INFO] Source directory: <some path>\properties added.
This is my project structure:
project1
\-- properties (this is the real folder)
project2
\-- some_real_folder
\-- properties (this is the link resource pointing to the project1/properties folder)
All I need is to have both "some_real_folder" and the linked resource "properties" added to the .classpath of the project2
I'm developing a touchscreen application that, aside from everything else, records the amount of times the screen is used so that the user can be reminded to clean the screen after a predefined number of clicks.
I've got the click functions written nicely, all I need now is make sure the function is called on a click.
I imagine $('*').click(function() { //do something }); would accomplish my goal, but is that the best way? Also, would that overwrite other click functions assigned to the elements?
How do I remove strings from / obfuscate a compiled binary? The goal is to avoid having people read the names of the functions/methods inside.
It is a dynamic library (.so) compiled from C++ code for Android with the NDK tools (includes GCC)
I compile with -O3 and already use arm-eabi-gcc -g mylib.so to remove debugging symbols, but when I do strings mylib.so all the names of the functions/methods are still readable.
I have some of the basic coding down for the program but I do need assistance with something. My goal is to have an alarm go off on multiple PC's in a network indicating that a certain task needs done. Anyone who receives this alarm may stop it, complete the task and log that they did that. What would be the best way to accomplish this in a network? But not every computer in the network will be running this program, just a few.
