  I am getting dynamic length of the string array and i want to display images in the imagebutton and that too in horizontal view as i had added button but it shows in the vertical layout.Please help. • iPhone/Safari: fixed div sticks in the middle of the page when coming back by "history.back(-1)"

  Having a problem with fixed div using iPhone's Safari. I know that in iOS 5 the functionality for position:fixed have been added. My div is positioned at the top of the screen and behave pretty good, anyway, there are some bugs during scrolling. But what actually makes me angry - it is the position of this div after coming back to the current page clicking on javascript:history.back(-1) link. The fixed div sticks in the middle of a screen. When I try to scrool, it jumps back on the right position. Is there any cure for the bug?

  stack overflow wont let me post images so heres the link: http://4m0.org/images/qt.png This is my application. For this question, ignore the top part with the buttons. I have a QScrollArea Filled with many QGroupBoxes Filled with a horizontal box layout of QLabel (on the left) and QGroupBox (on the right) The right side is a vertical box layout of QPushButtons Every single element, the scrollarea, both boxes, the labels, and the buttons all have their style sheets modified so padding is 0px and margin is 0px. Why do i have all this extra space? The scroll area has space on all sides until its inner elements (the blue boxes) start. Then those boxes have space until its inner elements (the white boxes) start. Can someone tell me what is going on?

Shouldn't the Focus() method have brought the focus control into view?

• C# Console Application - Odd behaviour - char '\a'

  After extensive debugging of an application, I noticed the console window would hang when searching text for the char '\a'. The goal is to strip out characters from a file. The console window would always hang upon exiting the program, and it would make it to the last statement of main. I removed the '\a' from the switch statement and the console application does not hang anymore. Any idea why? • R graphics plotting a linegraph with date/time horizontally along x-axis

  I want to get a linegraph in R which has Time along x and temperature along y. Originally I had the data in dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm format, with a time point every 30 minutes. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q35y1rfila0va1h/Data_logger_S65a_Ania.csv Since I couldn't find a way of reading this into R, I formatted the data to make it into dd/mm/yyyy and added a column 'time' with 1-48 for all the time points for each day https://www.dropbox.com/s/65ogxzyvuzteqxv/temp.csv This is what I have so far: temp<-read.csv("temp.csv",as.is=T) temp$date<-as.Date(temp$date, format="%d/%m/%Y") #inputting date in correct format plot(temperature ~ date, temp, type="n") #drawing a blank plot with axes, but without data lines(temp$date, temp$temperature,type="o") #type o is a line overlaid on top of points. This stacks the points up vertically, which is not what I want, and stacks all the time points (1-48) for each day all together on the same date. Any advice would be much appreciated on how to get this horizontal, and ordered by time as well as date.

• Error message: "$(window).width is not a function"

  Hi all, i am trying to use a jQuery scrollbar called "Jscrollhorizontalpane". when i am trying to use it i get the following error message: "$(window).width is not a function" in firebug's console. i am new to jQuery do this might be very basic but still, i dont know what that means and why there is a problem. the scroller comes in a bundle with a few files, one of which is called "jScrollHorizontalPane.js" and i believe it holds the code for the scroller. i tried replacing $ signs there with the word "jQuery" (in case there is a conflict) but it didnt seem to help. also important to add that on the same page i am using another jQuery scroller (a vertical one as opposed to the horizontal on mentioned above) which works just fine and when i examined it's .js file, i could spot lines with "$(window).width". any ideas?

• Normalized Device Coordinates to window coordinates

  I just read some stuff about the theory behind 3d graphics. As I understand it, normalized device coordinates (NDC) are coordinates that describe a point in the interval from -1 to 1 on both the horizontal and vertical axis. On the other hand window coordinates describe a point somewhere between (0,0) and (width,height) of the window. So my formula to convert a point from the NDC coordinate system to the window system would be xwin = width + xndc * 0.5 * width ywin = height + ynfv * 0.5 * height The problem now is that in the OpenGL documentation for glViewport there is an other formula: xwin = ( xndc + 1 ) * width * 0.5 + x ywin = ( yndc + 1 ) * height * 0.5 + y Now I'm wondering what I am getting wrong. Especially I'm wondering what the additional "x" and "y" mean. Hope the question isn't too "not programming related", but I thought somehow it is related to graphics programming.

• ExtJS panel does not render properly unless I open Firebug - WTF?

  I have the following ExtJS Panel embedded in another Panel, which then resides in a TabPanel and the TabPanel is in a FormPanel. With that being said, these start/end date fields are initially displayed in very small cells -- the cells are so small that I see horizontal scroll bars. Now here's the weird part: if I open Firebug, everything pops into place. Does anyone know what's going on?   I really like this vim trick to use the left and right arrows to flip between buffers: "left/right arrows to switch buffers in normal mode map <right> :bn<cr> map <left> :bp<cr> (Put that in ~/.vimrc) But sometimes I'm munching on a sandwich or something when scrolling around a file and I really want the arrow keys to work normally. I think what would make most sense is for the arrow keys to have the above buffer-flipping functionality only if there are actually multiple buffers open. Is there a way to extend the above to accomplish that?

• Remove margin between rows of overflowing inline elements

  I'm creating a tile-based game and am using block rendering to update a large list of tiles. I'm attempting to do this in the most simple manner, so I've been trying to work with HTML's default layouts. Right now I'm creating 'inline-blocks', omitting whitespace between the elements to avoid horizontal spaces in between them but when the blocks overflow and create a new line there is some vertical margining in which I do not know how to remove. Example to make this a bit clearer: http://jsfiddle.net/mLa93/13/ (Pretty much I just need to remove the spacing between the block rows while retaining the simple markup.)

  Please see the two long linklabels below (please ignore the black lines above) Linklabels' length is made dynamically during runtime, and as seen, could be that it's too long and overlapping other text we have (there is another text where you see 'Differences'). My questions are: a) Can I limit the maximum length of a linklabel? b) Is that possible to use a scrollbar with a linklabel (or any similar control) in case that it's too long? e.g. setting it to 200 pixels, and in case it's longer, the user has to scroll the horizontal scroller and see end of the text. • How to stop a MFC/win32 control re-painting

  I have a CRichEditCtrl, and an algorithm works on its contents in-place, iterating through the contents and making changes. This seems to cause it to re-paaint every time, which causes flickering and a noticeable time to complete the operation, especially if the control starts scrolling. I wondered if there's a neat way for me to stop it repainting for a period. It's actually a custom subclass of CRichEditCtrl in use so I was thinking something like: void MyCustomEditCtrl::DoAlgorithm() { enableRepaint(false); ... //to the actual work ... enableRepaint(true); } What's the neatest approach? A custom on-paint handler which does nothing when an operation is in progress? Or can repainting actually be disabled?

  Hello All, I have scoured the internet looking for a good tutorial or posting about having a UITableView populated with a UITextField in each cell for data entry. I want to keep track of each UITextField and the text written within it while scrolling. The tableView will be sectioned. I have been using a custom UITableViewCell but I'm open to any method. • TPageControl tab area OnMouseEnter OnMouseLeave events

  Hello, I need to catch the "OnMouseEnter" and "0nMouseLeave" for a certain area of the TPageControl component. With that specific area I mean the whole "tab header" rectangle. The problem is, that the page control doesn't catch the messages (I'm catching internal control messages CM_MOUSEENTER and CM_MOUSELEAVE) in the "empty" space. The aim for me is to draw a small arrow in the right empty side when user hovers in the red framed area (and drawing is just piece of cake) and erase it when leaves this area. And I'm don't care about the overflow of the tabs (which causes to draw scrolling double button) - that will never happen.

• jQuery accordion: is there a way to make the scrollbar fit the displayed panel?

  I have a jQuery accordion (jQuery 1.3.2, jQuery UI 1.7.2), with between 3-12 content panels. Some of the content panels are large, and have lots of content. some are small, and have only a little. When I expand any of them, the scrollbar on the div containing the accordion (it's got css overflow: auto;) is set as if the largest of the panels is expanded. Let's say I have 3 panels. One has 3 lines of content, one has 20 lines, and one has 1000 lines. If I expand either of the first two, the scrollbar indicator gets very very tiny, and moves all the way to the top, even though there is nothing worth scrolling. Is there a way to fix this? It seems like autoHeight:false ought to do it, but that doesn't work for me.

• Animate/Ease an element to position when other elements disappear

  Please take a look at this fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/dhcyA/ Try clicking on a block. What I want is that when the other elements disapear, the selected block will animate/ease to his giving position instead of just jumping like it does now. Then the same animation repeats itself when clicking again on the box, but then back to place. Maybe to keep in mind: I'm using a reponsive design, which means those blocks can be vertical and horizontal after scaling the window. Any redevisions on the fiddle or suggustions would be great!
