  • White frame around images in WoW Addon

    I am having some trouble with my World of Warcraft addon. Whenever I display my TGA files in the addon, there is a thin white frame around them. The same happens when I convert them to BLPs. When I look at the images themselves with Preview, there's no white frame, but WoW decides to display one. How do I resolve this?

  • How to generate irregular ball shapes?

    What kind of algorithms would generate random "goo balls" like those in World of Goo. (btw, if you haven't played it yet, highly recommended). I'm using Proccesing, but any generic algorithm would do. I guess it boils down to how to "randomly" make balls that are kind of round, but not perfectly round, and still looking realistic.     Usually we have many HD movies in our computer, but we want to see them by our mobile phone. This requirement produces some questions: 1?the HD videos are too big to transfer to phone timely and it it hard to play on phone smoothly, so we have to transform the videos smaller and fit the screen of phone. 2?the coded format of the videos are varied, but limited types are supported by mobile phone, so we should transform the coded format to those supported by mobile phone. I've leaned the streaming media fit this problem, what I want is: 1?are there any good opensource projects fit this(ffmpeg?live555? darwin?)? 2?are they quick enough to transform coded format and transfer to mobile phone to play with no delay?   • WebCenter Customer Advisory Board meetings kick off Oracle Open World 2012!

    Welcome to OpenWorld! OpenWorld 2012 got underway today with a series of meetings with the members of the WebCenter Customer Advisory Board. Led by the WebCenter Product Management team, these meetings are a great way for the product team and customers to directly interact and discuss real-life business challenges, product details and to discuss upcoming features and functionality. This year, board members participated in discussions around live demos around product enhancements that will be featured throughout the coming week. Highlights included a variety of new mobile and social solutions, a great new user interface for WebCenter Content plus new Portal and Sites functionality that makes the experience for the everyday user a lot more pleasant. The day kicked off with Roel Stalman, VP of Product Management, giving a detailed overview of what’s new in WebCenter. Given all the improvements to discuss, this session went over 2 hours! Roel showcased the brand new UI for Content, Portal and Sites. He also gave live demos of the new mobile apps for WebCenter Content, Portal and the Oracle Social Network.  The attendees then broke into sub-groups in order to deep-dive with Product Management for the Portal, Sites, and Content product areas on specific functionality and application integrations. If you are here in San Francisco this week for OpenWorld, I definitely recommend stopping by the WebCenter area in the Moscone West Exhibition Hall to see some of this new functionality for yourself. And be sure to check out the WebCenter sessions throughout the week as those give us a chance to discuss direction and strategy, answer your questions and get your feedback and ideas.   • User permission to make a call

    There might have been a restriction on originating (making) calls (voice or data) from mobile phones without an explicit user permission i.e. a window would pop-up, asking the user to press 'Yes'/approve or 'No'/cancel for a call attempt made by a software application on that cellphone/mobile. There seems though to exist API for making calls, voice calls and data calls, on various embedded OS like WM, Symbian and Android. Do they require a user button-press then?

  • MVC4 dynamically changing master layout page doesn't work on first load

    I have an MVC4 mobile project that I want to add a desktop (non mobile) page to for some users. I have added a new desktop master page and assigned my view to use it. The first time I navigate to the page it renders using jquerymobile which appears to somehow be cached from the previous screen. If I hit F5 to refresh the page it displays using the assigned desktop masterpage correctly. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Any insight appreciated

  • Make an URL point to google maps app on Nokia (symbian)

    Hi, The iPhone has a functionality that when a google maps URL is typed into (or linked) the mobile browser it will open the Google Maps app instead of displaying it in the mobile browser. Now I'm wondering if that same functionality exists for say a Nokia (Symbian) phone? Is there a way to set up the link to open the Google maps app on the Symbian phone?

  • How can I convert a C# application that uses StandardInput and StandardOutput in .NET Compact Framew

    I have an application that uses the Process class, StandardInput, and StandardOutput to communicate with an external executable. I am using this to pass strings back and forth, and it works well in my Windows application. On the mobile device, I do not see StandardInput or StandardOutput in the Process class. Is there an easy way to replicate this functionality on the Mobile?

  • ActiveSync File Explorer alternative

    Is there an alternative to the ActiveSync "Explore" for looking at the file system of a Windows Mobile device? (This same thing can also be accessed from My Computer - Mobile Device). It would be nice if you could just navigate into the device and view or edit files without having to copy them back and forth from the PC. Why does it work this way in the first place? Is the Explore view sort of a "virtual" version of your phone's file system that cannot be edited directly?

The documentation states that it allows multiple exchange accounts to be configured and that we could switch between the those accounts from the configuration. However, it doesn't specify how to do that and I am unable to figure that out too. Do any of you have a solution?

    Is there any app where I could control the camera of my phone remotely(even bluetooth would do) I have a Nokia 5800 xpress music. The app could either be a stand alone app installed on the mobile phone than could click snaps at predefined intervals or if there is a app that I can install on my PC and then control my phone's camera via bluetooth or wifi or anything else. Is this possible?

    Hi, I'm looking for a way to minimize the net traffic use with my netbook mobile internet connection. Recently I managed to install Opera Mini on the XP and the opera approach of compressing the data helped a lot. But I would like to do the same with my favorite browser using http proxy that compress the data "on the fly". But searching for "compression proxy servers" I could not find any working host/port links. Is it a brand-new technology and therefore expensive or rarely available?
