    I'm using the Logging Application Block in my ASP.NET application and want to convert the application to a Sharepoint WebPart. Is there a simple way to disable all logging for now? Removing the logging is problematic as it's used in the underlying libraries. I have tried setting all switchValue="All" to "Off" but it still throws the exception even though nothing should be logged

    Hi, The Three20 is great library. It's making the work with tables very easy. But one gap that I noticed - is deletion of rows, with animation. And I doesn't implement the DataSourceDelegate or TableViewDelegate because I'm using the Three20 as much as possible.     I have a GridView in which each row has a custom view. The grid view adapter has an array that keeps the custom view. At click of a button, I want to remove a specific row from the Grid and while doing so I want animation on it. I have an AnimationListener. When I remove the upper most row from the array and setAdapter in onAnimationEnd(). It works perfectly fine. But, when I remove any other row, it gives a NullPointerException in the main thread.     Hello, I was trying to enable navigation based on a selected row.     I am currently using displaytag for tabular data, but would like to create a "kayak.com-like" interface where when a user clicks a row, the user is shown more details about the particular row without a page refresh. I tried using a decorator to return javascript that would do this. The javascript is executed, but it is only reflected in the column where it was rendered. I am looking to create a new row with the data. e.g.: public class CustomDecorator extends TableDecorator { public String getDetailsRow() { MyObject object = (MyObject)this.getCurrentRowObject(); return "<a onClick=\"myjsfunction(object.getId()); return true\">Details</a>"; } } ...and in the JSP I would have a detailsRow property nested between the display:table tags: <display:column property="detailsRow" sortable="false" /> Any tips on how to create a new row? The solution may be in the way that the javascript is written - I'm not an expert with Javascript, so any tips would be appreciated. Is there a better way to do this with displaytag? I don't know of any explicit integration that displaytag has with javascript (like an "onclick" parameter) either. This is my first question on stackoverflow, btw - so please let me know whether you need more detail.

  • Median Filter a bi-level image with JAI

    I'd like to apply a Median Filter to a bi-level image and output a bi-level image. The JAI median filter seems to output an RGB image, which I'm having trouble downconverting back to bi-level. Currently I can't even get the image back into gray color-space, my code looks like this: BufferedImage src; // contains a bi-level image ParameterBlock pb = new ParameterBlock(); pb.addSource(src); pb.add(MedianFilterDescriptor.MEDIAN_MASK_SQUARE); pb.add(3); RenderedOp result = JAI.create("MedianFilter", pb); ParameterBlock pb2 = new ParameterBlock(); pb2.addSource(result); pb2.add(new double[][]{{0.33, 0.34, 0.33, 0}}); RenderedOp grayResult = JAI.create("BandCombine", pb2); BufferedImage foo = grayResult.getAsBufferedImage(); This code hangs on the grayResult line and appears not to return. I assume that I'll eventually need to call the "Binarize" operation in JAI. Edit: Actually, the code appears to be stalling once I call getAsBufferedImage(), but returns nearly instantly when the second operation ("BandCombine") is removed. Is there a better way to keep the Median Filtering in the source color domain? If not, how do I downconvert back to binary?

The ICommand is CreateReminderCommand and the CommandParameter is bound to the data item for the row itself. This works just fine - I can right click on a row and it will show me the correct text in the menu item 'Create Reminder for order 12345'. Then I scroll the datagrid down a page. If I keep right clicking on items then suddenly I'll see the wrong order number for a row. I think what must be happening is this : The DataGrid is reusing instances of MenuItem that it has previously created. How can I force a refresh of the ContextMenu when it is displayed for an item that changes? There's no 'Update method on the ContextMenu or ContextMenuService.

    I have created a small application written in XHTML, JavaScript/JQuery and PHP. The PHP reads and writes to a small SQLite database. How would i go about inserting cells into a pre-scripted table. The cells would need to be configured using some information from my database. For example, below are two cells with their data retrieved from my database: Cell One Starts: 120px; Finishes: 180px; Background: Blue; Cell Two Starts: 240px; Finishes: 300px; Background: Green; On my table row, it is 500px in width. How would I insert the cells above into the row. In this example, the first cell would start 120px into the row and have a width of 180px. The second cell would start 240px into the row and have a width of 300px. I just cant seem to work out a way of doing this, any ideas would be very helpful. It scrolls to row1. Here's the blog I used http://www.makhaly.net/Blog/9 Suppose, I select a row on Form1(where all this code is) and go on the next form, which shows me detailed info abt the particular Plant . If I come back to this first form again,by pressing the back button, the row is reset to 1. gSelectedPlant takes a value 1 and selectedindex = 0. This makes sense but I am not yet able to figure out how to maintain the value of gSelectedPlant. Yes it takes a null intitally but on databindingcomplete it becomes 1.

I just need to show the first row, of course, the rest should be toggled. The action is when I click a dynamic fake button, it will show row no. 2, and clicking again will show another next row.   • Zend: Fetching row from session db table after generating session id

    Hi, I'm trying to update the session table used by Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable directly after authenticating the user and writing the session to the DB. But I can neither update nor fetch the newly inserted row, even though the session id I use to check (Zend_Session::getId()) is valid and the row is indeed inserted into the table. Upon fetching all session ids (on the same request) the one I newly inserted is missing from the results. It does appear in the results if I fetch it with something else. I've checked whether it is a problem with transactions and that does not seem to be the problem - there is no active transaction when I'm fetching the results. I've also tried fetching a few seconds after writing using sleep(), which doesn't help. $auth->getStorage()->write($ident); //sleep(1) $update = $this->db->update('session', array('uid' => $ident->user_id), 'id='.$this->db->quote(Zend_Session::getId())); $qload = 'SELECT id FROM session'; $load = $this->db->fetchAll($qload); echo $qload; print_r($load); $update fails. $load doesn't contain the row that was written with $auth-getStorage()-write($identity). $qload does contain the correct query - copying it to somewhere else leads to the expected result, that is the inserted row is included in the results. Database used is MySQL - InnoDB. If someone knows how to directly fix this (i.e. on the same request, not doing something like updating after redirecting to another page) without modifying Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable: Thank you very much!

  • Handling row selection from a simple grid using jquery and asp.net mvc

    Using a simple table and jquery, how would you manually handle selection using jquery? So far, I've managed to add a gridrowselected class on the tr when the click event is called so that I'll know which row is currently selected. But I don't know how to pass the selected data back to the controller (or at least an index I placed on the row).   • saving mySql row checkpoint in table ?

    hello, I am having a wee problem, and I am sure there is a more convenient/simpler way to achieve the solution, but all searches are throw in up a blanks at the moment ! I have a mysql db that is regularly updated by php page [ via a cron job ] this adds or deletes entries as appropriate. My issue is that I also need to check if any details [ie the phone number or similar] for the entry have changed, but doing this at every call is not possible [ not only does is seem to me to be overkill, but I am restricted by a 3rd party api call limit] Plus this is not critical info. So I was thinking it might be best to just check one entry per page call, and iterate through the rows/entires with each successive page call. What would be the best way of doing this, ie keeping track of which entry/row in the table that the should be checked next? I have 2 ideas of how to implement this: 1 ) The id of current row could be save to a file on the server [ surely not the best way] 2) an extra boolean field [check] is add to the table, set to True on the first entry and false to all other. Then on each page call it; finds 'where check = TRUE' runs the update check on this row, 'set check = FALSE' 'set [the next row] check = TRUE' Si this the best way to do this, or does anyone have any better sugestion ? thanks in advance ! .k PS sorry about the title

  • Iterating Through N Level Children

    This seems like something neat that might be "built into" jQuery but I think it's still worth asking. I have a problem where that can easily be solved by iterating through all the children of a element. I've recently discovered I need to account for the cases where I would need to do a level or two deeper than the "1 level" (just calling .children() once) I am currently doing. jQuery.each(divToLookAt.children(), function(index, element) { //do stuff } ); This is what I'm current doing. To go a second layer deep, I run another loop after doing stuff code for each element. jQuery.each(divToLookAt.children(), function(index, element) { //do stuff jQuery.each(jQuery(element).children(), function(indexLevelTwo, elementLevelTwo) { //do stuff } ); } ); If I want to go yet another level deep, I have to do this all over again. This is clearly not good. I'd love to declare a "level" variable and then have it all take care of. Anyone have any ideas for a clean efficient jQueryish solution? Thanks!

I want skills that will enable me to write apps for <--insert hottest web trend here-- (Facebook & iphone apps for example) This is one of my goals as far as Tech. is concerned. I'd also like to have a brod knowledge of different areas of IT. I'm looking into majoring in "Computing & Security Technology". The program is offered by Drexel in conjunction with my CC. It's a 4 year degree. Can someone take a look @ the pdf below. I read many articles like this and this about how difficult it is to get around the clientaccesspolicy issue. The issue is that google gives a different open id for the return url specified and we have at least 2 different entry points in our application from where open id is configured into our system.   • How to ensure DB security for a Windows Forms application?

    The basic setup is classic - you're creating a Windows Forms application that connects to a DB and does all kinds of enterprise-y stuff. Naturally, such an application will have many users with different access rights in the DB, and each with their own login name and password. So how do you implement this? One way is to create a DB login for every application user, but that's a pretty serious thing to do, which even requires admin rights on the DB server, etc. If the DB server hosts several applications, the admins are quite likely not to be happy with this. In the web world typically one creates his own "Users" table which contains all the necessary info, and uses one fixed DB login for all interaction. That is all nice for a web app, but a windows forms can't hide this master login information, negating security altogether. (It can try to hide, but all such attempts are easily broken with a bit of effort). So... is there some middle way? Perhaps logging in with a fixed login, and then elevating priviledges from a special stored procedure which checks the username and password?

  • Password security; Is this safe?

    I asked a question yesterday about password safety... I am new at security... I am using a mysql db, and need to store users passwords there. I have been told in answers that hashing and THEN saving the HASHED value of the password is the correct way of doing this. So basically I want to verify with you guys this is correct now. It is a classifieds website, and for each classified the user puts, he has to enter a password so that he/she can remove the classified using that password later on (when product is sold for example). In a file called "put_ad.php" I use the $_POST method to fetch the pass from a form. Then I hash it and put it into a mysql table. Then whenever the users wants to delete the ad, I check the entered password by hashing it and comparing the hashed value of the entered passw against the hashed value in the mysql db, right? BUT, what if I as an admin want to delete a classified, is there a method to "Unhash" the password easily? sha1 is used currently btw. some code is very much appreciated. Thanks

    I just followed up following steps to harden network security The /etc/sysctl.conf file contain all the sysctl settings. But, using direct ethernet cable was giving a good speed. Then, I reverted back the above changes and things fall back in line once again.... Could you please let me know what possibly in above script is affecting such behaviour [and why] ? How could I still maintain hardening of network security without disturbing Wi-fi downloading speed ?
