    Hi all: This is the first time I am working for a front-end project that requires server-side authentication for AJAX requests.     Hi, I have integer type field in database which is having property "Not Null". when i create a view & do a validation, if i left that field blank, it will consider it as 0 so i can not compare it with 0 because if someone insert a value 0 then it will be considered as error! one another problem is that i am using Model error as described in the book "ASP.NET MVC 1.0" @ Scott Gu blog. Like in database if i declared as smallint i.e. short in c#, now if i exceed that range then it gives error as "A Value is reguired". so finally is there any best way for validation in ASP.NET MVC?

  • Is there a way to force ContourPlot re-check all the points on the each stage of it's recursion algorithm?

    Hello, Thanks to this excellent analysis of the Plot algorithm by Yaroslav Bulatov, I now understand the reason why Plot3D and ContourPlot fail to draw smoothly functions with breaks and discontinuities. For example, in the following case ContourPlot fails to draw contour x^2 + y^2 = 1 at all: ContourPlot[Abs[x^2 + y^2 - 1], {x, -1, 1}, {y, -1, 1}, Contours -> {0}] It is because the algorithm does not go deeply into the region near x^2 + y^2 = 1. It "drops" this region on an initial stage and do not tries to investigate it further. Increasing MaxRecursion does nothing in this sense. And even undocumented option Method -> {Refinement -> {ControlValue -> .01 \[Degree]}} does not help (but makes Plot3D a little bit smoother). The above function is just a simple example. In real life I'm working with very complicated implicit functions that cannot be solved analytically. Is there a way to get ContourPlot to go deeply into such regions near breaks and discontinuities?

I was thinking I would put a notification in my master page to let the user know that the data isn't all there yet.     There's this form that I'm placing on a site. This form submits some parameters to a site which then sends some parameters using "GET" to another site, which then opens the third site. Now the first 2 sites pass so quickly that I can not see what parameters were passed using the URL. I just need a simple tool or hint or firefox addon or ANYTHING ELSE on how to track what parameters were sent to url1, url2 etc. There's got to be some tool for this, only I can't seem to find it!     I have a MySQL table containing data on product features: feature_id feature_product_id feature_finder_id feature_text feature_status_yn 1 1 1 Webcam y 2 1 1 Speakers y 3 1 1 Bluray n I want to write a MySQL query that allows me to search for all products that have a 'y' feature_status_yn value for a given feature_product_id and return the feature_product_id. The aim is to use this as a search tool to allow me to filter results to product IDs only matching the requested feature set. A query of SELECT feature_id FROM product_features WHERE feature_finder_id = '1' AND feature_status_yn = 'y' will return all of the features of a given product. But how can I select all products (feature_product_id) that have a 'y' value when they are on separate lines? Multiple queries might be one way to do it, but I'm wondering whether there's a more elegant solution based purely in SQL.
