  • Accessing a web service and a HTTP interface using certificate authentication

    - by ADC
It is the first time I have to use certificate authentication. A commercial partner expose two services, a XML Web Service and a HTTP service. I have to access both of them with .NET clients. What I have tried 0. Setting up the environment I have installed the SSLCACertificates (on root and two intermediate) and the client certificate in my local machine (win 7 professional) using certmgr.exe. 1. For the web service I have the client certificate (der). The service will be consumed via a .NET proxy. Here's the code: OrderWSService proxy = new OrderWSService(); string CertFile = "ClientCert_DER.cer"; proxy.ClientCertificates.Add(new System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate(CertFile)); orderTrackingTO ot = new orderTrackingTO() { order_id = "80", tracking_id = "82", status = stateOrderType.IN_PREPARATION }; resultResponseTO res = proxy.insertOrderTracking(ot); Exception reported at last statement: The request failed with an empty response. 2. For the HTTP interface it is a HTTPS interface I have to call through POST method. The HTTPS request will be send from a .NET client using HTTPWebRequest. Here's the code: string PostData = "MyPostData"; //setting the request HttpWebRequest req; req = (HttpWebRequest)HttpWebRequest.Create(url); req.UserAgent = "MyUserAgent"; req.Method = "POST"; req.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"; req.ClientCertificates.Add(new System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate(CertFile, "MyPassword")); //setting the request content byte[] byteArray = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(PostData); Stream dataStream = req.GetRequestStream(); dataStream.Write(byteArray, 0, byteArray.Length); dataStream.Close(); //obtaining the response WebResponse res = req.GetResponse(); r = new StreamReader(res.GetResponseStream()); Exception reported at last statement: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel. 3. Last try: using the browser In Chrome, after installing the certificates, if I try to access both urls I get a 107 error: Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR) I am stuck.

  • Subclass not seeing superclass' instance variable

    - by hyn
I have a situation where my subclass is not seeing the superclass' instance variable x. The ivar is obviously @protected by default, so why do I get a compiler error "x undeclared"? If I make this ivar a property then I can access it by self.x. What's worse is sometimes the error disappears, so something in my code is obviously causing this error but I cannot figure it out.

  • Stored procedure execution problem

    - by geeta
Iam implementing entity spaces in C# application and was able to execute queries such as the below one successfully. coll.query.where(coll.prodlineid.equal("id") if( coll.query.load()) However I need to replace all these queries in the code with Stored procedures. For this I used: coll.Load(esQuerytype.storedprocedure, "testproc", param) At this point, Iam getting error as 'EntitySpaces.Core.esEntityCollection.Load(EntitySpaces.DynamicQuery.esQueryType, string, params object[])' is inaccessible due to its protection level esEntityCollection is a metadata file, so I could not change the access modifier there from protected to public. Help:-)

  • How to get webcam video stream bytes in c++

    - by Mr Bell
I am targeting windows machines. I need to get access to the pointer to the byte array describing the individual streaming frames from an attached usb webcam. I saw the playcap directshow sample from the windows sdk, but I dont see how to get to raw data, frankly, I don't understand how the video actually gets to the window. Since I don't really need anything other than the video capture I would prefer not to use opencv. Visual Studio 2008 c++

  • Can lazy loading be considered an example of RAII?

    - by codemonkey
I have been catching up on my c++ lately, after a couple years of exclusive Objective-C on iOS, and the topic that comes up most on 'new style' c++ is RAII To make sure I understand RAII concept correctly, would you consider Objective-C lazy loading property accessors a type of RAII? For example, check the following access method - (NSArray *)items { if(_items==nil) { _items=[[NSArray alloc] initWithCapacity:10]; } return _items } Would this be considered an example of RAII? If not, can you please explain where I'm mistaken?

  • How can I specify that Doctrine must use a mysqli-connection

    - by murze
Hi, while executing a long script that uses Doctrine to access the db, I get an error 2006 server has gone away. I've already solved this problem on a website that doens't use Doctrine. The solution there was to use mysqli instead of the normal mysql driver. How can i tell Doctrine to use a mysqli-driver in order to avoid 2006-errors? Thanks!

  • How do I debug a difficult-to-reproduce crash with no useful call stack?

    - by David M
I am encountering an odd crash in our software and I'm having a lot of trouble debugging it, and so I am seeking SO's advice on how to tackle it. The crash is an access violation reading a NULL pointer: First chance exception at $00CF0041. Exception class $C0000005 with message 'access violation at 0x00cf0041: read of address 0x00000000'. It only happens 'sometimes' - I haven't managed to figure out any rhyme or reason, yet, for when - and only in the main thread. When it occurs, the call stack contains one incorrect entry: For the main thread, which this is, it should show a large stack full of other items. At this point, all other threads are inactive (mostly sitting in WaitForSingleObject or a similar function.) I have only seen this crash occur in the main thread. It always has the same call stack of one entry, in the same method at the same address. This method may or may not be related - we do use the VCL in our application. My bet, though, is that something (possibly quite a while ago) is corrupting the stack, and the address where it's crashing is effectively random. Note it has been the same address across several builds, though - it's probably not truly random. Here is what I've tried: Trying to reproduce it reliably at a certain point. I have found nothing that reproduces it every time, and a couple of things that occasionally do, or do not, for no apparent reason. These are not 'narrow' enough actions to narrow it down to a particular section of code. It may be timing related, but at the point the IDE breaks in, other threads are usually doing nothing. I can't rule out a threading problem, but think it's unlikely. Building with extra debugging statements (extra debug info, extra asserts, etc.) After doing so, the crash never occurs. Building with Codeguard enabled. After doing so, the crash never occurs and Codeguard shows no errors. My questions: 1. How do I find what code caused the crash? How do I do the equivalent of walking back up the stack? 2. What general advice do you have for how to trace the cause of this crash? I am using Embarcadero RAD Studio 2010 (the project mostly contains C++ Builder code and small amounts of Delphi.)

  • MPMediaPickerController, MPMediaItems, and NSData

    - by ckrames1234
I was wondering if Apple allowed you to access the MPMediaItem's raw data as an NSData object. If you can, thats great and I would like to know how. If you cannot, then Apple is way too over-protective, and my app that i started is utterly useless. Also if you cannot, Is there any hacky workarounds? I don't care if Apple doesn't accept my app as it would still be cool if me and my friends all had it. Thanks, Conrad

  • Embedding a scripting engine in C++

    - by Jen
I'm researching how to best extend a C++ application with scripting capability, and I am looking at either Python or JavaScript. User-defined scripts will need the ability to access the application's data model. Have any of you had experiences with embedding these scripting engines? What are some potential pitfalls?

  • R: getting "inside" environments

    - by Mike Dewar
Given an environment object e: > e <environment: 0x10f0a6e98> > class(e) [1] "environment" How do you access the variables inside the environment? Just in case you're curious, I have found myself with this environment object. I didn't make it, a package in Bioconductor made it. You can make it, too, using these commands: library('GEOquery') eset <- getGEO("GSE4142")[[1]] e <- assayData(eset)

  • Sproutcore: Changing css properties on mouse events

    - by greg
In sproutcore I'm trying to change the border thickness of a div when a user mouses over it. All the other code is working but I can't find how to either access the css properties directly or attach a new classname to the div. borderDiv: SC.View.design({ layout:{top:60, left:60, width: 400, height: 525}, classNames:"panel", mouseEntered: function(evt) { alert("this is working"); // // No idea what to put here to change css properties // return YES } })
