  • Question about whether I should pursue minors or work towards a masters [closed]

    I'm a sophomore about to go into my Spring semester in a few weeks and I am trying to decide some major things that will affect the next few years of my life and was looking for some guidance/advice. I'm currently working towards a Bachelors in Computer Science and my question was whether I should minor in Corporate Strategy and Math or just work towards a Masters in Computer Science? I was wondering if employers are more looking for Masters degrees in Computer Science or if those minors could be beneficial to me. Some things that may affect responses: I already have all my other requirements filled for graduating except my Computer Science classes, I've already had an internship this past summer and am already hearing back from several companies about internships for this upcoming summer.   • A relatively new blog seems to be getting very poor Google indexing

    I have a new blog that is 2 months old. In the first few weeks, it was getting indexed nicely and my GoogleWebmaster reports were showing that it was getting crawled and began ranking for some terms. Then as I kept writing, the GoogleWebmaster report thinned out and showed less and less terms that this blog ranks for. Now there are only 4 terms with one of them being my name. Is there something I need to do to keep the old posts to remain indexed and crawled? Thanks, Alex

  • VS2010 Extension like Smart Paster?

    Alex Papadimoulis' Smart Paster is a great little tool that can paste text in programmer-friendly ways (e.g. as a StringBuilder, as a language-specific string literal, etc.). However, it doesn't seem to be available for VS2010. Anyone know of a similar extension or of plans to port Smart Paster?

    That has been hours i am tracking a Moose::Util::TypeConstraints exceptions, i don't understand where it gets to check a type and tells me that the name is incorrect. I tracked the error to a reduced example to try to locate the problem, and it just shows me that i do not get it.   • LotusNotes as a datasource for a .net C# site

    Is it possible to have a connection to LotusNotes and use it as a data source for a C# project? We use LN for email/calendar :(... and management wants a web page that would interact with the calendar. I think this can all be done within Notes, but I would much rather do it in .net.   • Trying to test for OS and space in filesystem on AIX

    I need to check if I Filesystem exists, and if it does exist there is 300 MB of space in it. What I have so far: if [ "$(df -m /opt/IBM | grep -vE '^Filesystem' | awk '{print ($3)}')" < "300" ] then echo "not enough space in the target filesystem" exit 1 fi This throws an error.     I have a problem using a Resources.resx - Resources.de.resx - combination in a C#/WPF project. The whole solutions contains several projects and some projects contains resource files. When starting the main project I can switch the language successfully from english to german. But the GUI elements from the sub projects still show the english text.     I have table similar to this: 102938 bob 038128 Marc 398401 Tom 298421 Jim 102938 Alex 102938 Junior 209381 Rex 398401 Oby I want to make sometthing like =sumif(A:A, 102938,B:B) and to get "bobAlexJunior" as result. But this is not working becouse sum works with numbers not strings. If i go with lookup, it works with strings but finds only first line, not all lines. Do you have an Idea on how to fix this issue?     Hello, .NET 4.0 I am looking for the easiest way to generate a Word document on our server. Limitations : Server side I don't want to install word on the server Data source is XML I tried to generate a DOCX with XSLT which is fast and easy but the only way I could find to validate the generated document is to open it with Word and the only error I get when the document is not valid is "Error while opening document".
