• PHP: How to read email attachment

  What I have: A person daily send to me an email, which has a zip'ed XML attachment. What I do: I save that attachment, unpack it and import via XML importerer to my web site. What I need: Automatic script, what I can automatically forward my email to ex.: [email protected] and read that attachment via some php file in my website, which maybe will be activated daily via server cronjob. Is it possible to code this? And maybe someone has any pre-coded scripts. Thanks for answers.

  Hello, i'm pretty new to jquery. I'm trying to insert an element to the DOM, and get that element back in my script. Ex: var elem = $("body").append(""); $(elem).show(); but it seems that .append returns the whole jQuery object.. am i supposed to use an ID for the inserted element and always reference it by it?? i really hope that there is a smarter move here.   I want to use a while loop to initialize class objects with a simple incremented naming convention. The goal is to be able to scale the number of class objects at will and have the program generate the names automatically. (ex. h1...h100...h1000...) Each h1,h2,h3... being its own instance. Here is my first attempt... have been unable to find a good example. class Korker(object): def __init__(self,ident,roo): self.ident = ident self.roo = roo b = 1 hwinit = 'h' hwstart = 0 while b <= 10: showit = 'h' + str(b) print(showit) #showit seems to generate just fine as demonstrated by print str(showit) == Korker("test",2) #this is the line that fails b += 1 The errors I get range from a string error to a cannot use function type error.... • How do I create a user history?

  I want to create a user history function that allows shows users what they done. ex: commented on an ad, posted an ad, voted on an ad, etc. How exactly do I do this? I was thinking about... in my site, when they log in it stores their user_id ($_SESSION['user_id']) so I guess whenever an user posts an ad(postad.php), comments(comment.php), I would just store in a database table "userhistory" what they did based on whenever or not their user_id was activate. When they comment, I store the user_id in the comment dbc table, so I'll also store it in the "userhistory" table. And then I would just queries all the rows in the dbc for the user to show it Any steps/improvements I can make? :)

• How do I make php page return a 503 error (or anything non-200).

  A former developer wrote or client-server api in PHP. It simply sends messages as xml using post/response in a very simplistic fashion. The problem is that even when there is an error (ex: invalid arguments passed into the server side) we get a HTTP 200 response with a page like this <h4>Unknown error!</h4> In firebug I can see that the actually HTTP response is a 200. How can we send a different response (ie:503) when we programatically detect in our php code that it is appropriate to do so.

  I'm writing many unit tests in VS 2010 with Microsoft Test. Why does "xsd:date" of XML Schema Type mapped "java.util.Date" ? I guess that JAXB intentionally does its mapping. I want to know that reason if any. And if exists it, how to change "xsd:date" of XML Schema Type to "java.util.Date" of Java class without using annotation(ex.@XmlJavaTypeAdapter). I want to do mashalling and unmarshalling without all annotations.

• Joomla Session Variable as Plugin Parameter

  I have a Joomla plugin which takes varying parameters. I need to retrieve one of these parameters from the current session. I've tried using Jumi and a little PHP snipped to retrieve the value and output it in the plugin's parameter list, but the Joomla plugin parser only handles the outter-most set of curly braces. ex. {fabrik view=table id=62 resetfilters=1 fab_tours_ro___tour_id=[tour_id]} [tour_id] I need to retrieve from the current session. I've tried {fabrik view=table id=62 resetfilters=1 fab_tours_ro___tour_id={jumi [scripts/get_tour_id.php]}} In that case the {jumi} tag never gets parsed. I could hack the {fabrik} plugin, but I'd prefer to do this without making any core or component changes, especially since I update Fabrik quite regularly via svn.

  XNA If I have a button class, and I have a buttonManager class that manages what buttons to be drawn to the screen depending on what the current game state is (main menu, in game, etc), how do I organize my code so that when I click on a button, it takes the user to a different screen.   Obviously there is no public GUID.TryParse() in .NET CLR 2.0. So, I was looking into regular expressions [aka googling around to find one] and each time I found one there was a heated argument in the comments section about RegEx A doesn't work, use RegEx B. Then someone would write Regex C yadda yadda So anyway, What I decided to do was this, but I feel bad about it. public static bool IsGuid (string possibleGuid) { try { Guid gid = new Guid(possibleGuid); return true; } catch (Exception ex) { return false; } } Obviously I don't really like this since it's been drilled into me since day one to avoid throwing exceptions if you can defensibly code around it. Does anyonek now why there is no public Guid.TryParse() in the .NET Framework? Does anyone have a real Regular Expression that will work for all GUIDs?

Ex: From, http://localhost/login and also from http ://localhost/user_sessions/new. How do i restrict access only from the named route i have defined and not allow from user_sessions/new?

  Hi. I'm trying to explain as best as I can, sorry for my English. I have a list of links, each linked to a php file with an id by parameters (ex. download.php?id=1 or ?id=2 and so on). This file create a new instance of a class witch return the correct header of the files so it displays the save dialog box of the browser. Now I need to check if the files is already downloaded in past (The first time you downloaded it I add a field on the mysql db). This checks go ahead if you haven't download the files, else return false. Here is the problem, when it returns false or something else the browser redirect me to the download.php file, so I get a blank page or what I'm echoing. I need that if the file is already download it show me a js alert for advice ppl. Hope you can understand what i mean. Thanks for help

  hi, I am using jquery ajax method on my aspx page,which will invoke the webmethod in the code behind.Currently the webmethod takes a couple of parameters like firstname,lastname,address etc which I am passing from jquery ajax method using data:JSON.stringify({fname:firstname,lname:lastname,city:city}) now my requirement has been changed such that,the number and type of parameters that are going to be passed is not fixed for ex.parameter combination can be something like fname,city or fname,city or city,lname or fname,lname,city or something else.So the webmethod should be such that it should accept any number parameters.I thought of using arrays to do so, as described here. But I do not understand how can I identify which and how many parameters have been passed to the webmethod to insert/update the data to the DB.Please could someone help me with this? thanks

  is there a way to run gwt on a proxy loaded web page ? ex) using proxy script on myexamplesite.com that loads finance.google.com, and running GWT on the newly loaded page. I've been doing the above before I found about GWT, using LAMP stack + Jquery (UI), which quickly turned out to be crap and inefficient. All this trouble to bypass browser's default Single Origin Policy. So, right now, is it possible to overcome this problem with GWT ? Is it possible to some how, run javascript on a html page from finance.google.com loaded into myexamplesite.com's frame with GWT or other solution? I am not looking to do JSON or RSS related topics. What I need is high lighted in bold. Is GWT + Gears what I should be using ? Thank you.

Following http://corelib.rubyonrails.org/classes/Time.html#M000240 If I want to add 1 day, it actually adds 60*60*24 days (86,400 days) r=Record.find(:first) =>Sat, 30 Dec 1899 19:00:00 -0600 r.date + (60*60*24) =>Fri, 20 Jul 2136 19:00:00 -0600 But if I do this it actually adds 1 day: t = Time.now =>Mon Jun 14 10:32:51 -0600 2010 t + (60 * 60 * 24) =>Tue Jun 15 10:33:21 -0600 2010 I guess it has to do with the format...how do I make this work?

  I have an entity model that has audit information on every table (50+ tables) CreateDate CreateUser UpdateDate UpdateUser Currently we are programatically updating audit information. Ex: if(changed){ entity.UpdatedOn = DateTime.Now; entity.UpdatedBy = Environment.UserName; context.SaveChanges(); } But I am looking for a more automated solution. During save changes, if an entity is created/updated I would like to automatically update these fields before sending them to the database for storage. Any suggestion on how i could do this? Let me know if any more information is needed.
