  • Postfix won't pipe to PHP file through aliases file

    I'm trying to pipe from postfix to a command. According to Postfix logs it worked, but when I check the command it didn't. This is a fresh postfix install. This is my alias file: # See man 5 aliases for format postmaster: root support: "| /usr/bin/php -q /var/www/pipe/pipe.php" I run sendmail [email protected] then type it and then on a separate line type . and it goes. I check the postfix log /var/log/mail.log and this is what it states: Nov 2 15:32:33 server3 postfix/local[13284]: 42C429E0B5: to=<[email protected]>, relay=local, delay=156, delays=156/0.01/0/0.05, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/bin/php -q /var/www/pipe/pipe.php) So according to that it worked, but it doesn't. If I run echo 'text' | /usr/bin/php -q /var/www/pipe/pipe.php it does work just fine. Any ideas what I did wrong? I know piping is working, I originally checked it by running that command above WITHOUT the quotes, so just support: | /usr/bin/php -q /var/www/pipe/pipe.php What it did there was append my email header and all to the file pipe.php. So I know postfix was piping it, but when I put in the quotes it says it's going but it's not according to my script.

  • Sudoers file allow sudo on specific file for active directory group

    I have active directory sign in working on an Ubuntu 12.04 box. When the user signs in, I have a script that runs that needs sudo permission (since it modifies the samba config file). How would I specify this in my sudoer's file? I've tried: %DOMAIN\\AD+Programmers ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin/createSambaShare.php I've found various resources on the internet stating that this is how it would be done, but I'm not sure that I have the first part right. What are they using as the DOMAIN? The workgroup or the realm? I use Samba + winbind for active directory integration. Here's my smb.conf: [global] security = ads netbios name = hostname realm = COMPANYNAME.COM password server = passwordserver workgroup = COMPANYNAME idmap uid = 1000-10000 idmap gid = 1000-10000 winbind separator = + winbind enum users = no winbind enum groups = no winbind use default domain = yes template homedir = /home/%D/%U template shell = /bin/bash client use spnego = yes domain master = no EDIT: The users that should have access to run that script are all part of the Programmers group which has an Active Directory Domain Services Folder of Company.com/Staff/Security Groups (not sure if that matters or not).

  • What should be monitored to troubleshoot file sharing problems?

    I'm running into some problems with a file share used by an ASP.NET web application. With this configuration, there are 2 web servers (win2k8 web) that connect to a file server (win2k8 enterprise), reading and writing files using a file share. Recently, one of the web servers has begun encountering an error accessing the file share: IOException: The specified network name is no longer available. There does not appear to be much info on the web for explaining what's causing this and how to best fix it, so I'm looking at what I can monitor in order to get clues. I'm not sure if it's hardware, just a load issue, file size, frequency, etc. With Windows perfmon, what can I monitor on the File Server side? There's the "Files Open" object, any other good ones? What can I monitor on the web server side? EDIT: I'll add that the UNC path uses the IP address of the file server, not a name to resolve. Also the share is a single, flat directory with over 100K files.

    Is it possible to inherit permissions from an abstract model in Django? I can not really find anything about that. For me this doesn't work! class PublishBase(models.Model): class Meta: abstract = True get_latest_by = 'created' permissions = (('change_foreign_items', "Can change other user's items"),) EDIT: Not working means it fails silently. Permission is not created, as it wouldn't exist on the models inheriting from this class.

But for files of size10MB, it's not echoing 'File uploaded exceeds maximum upload size.' as expected. Its also not uploading the file of size10MB. But the $u gets incremented. But none of the statements like "Upload is successful" or "if stmt failed so error" are being echoed as well. However the statement "count is correct" is being displayed, and this shows the $u got incremented somehow even though the echo statements didnt work! Can someone please point out the error I am doing here? I thought its simply a matter of 'if/else' statements but it seems more than that to me. Please help me out if you have any clue. Thanks

  • C - Error with read() of a file, storage in an array, and printing output properly

    I am new to C, so I am not exactly sure where my error is. However, I do know that the great portion of the issue lies either in how I am storing the doubles in the d_buffer (double) array or the way I am printing it. Specifically, my output keeps printing extremely large numbers (with around 10-12 digits before the decimal point and a trail of zeros after it. Additionally, this is an adaptation of an older program to allow for double inputs, so I only really added the two if statements (in the "read" for loop and the "printf" for loop) and the d_buffer declaration.   • WebDAV through Apache2 permissions/missing files

    I have a WebDAV setup on Apache2 on a server running Debian 5.0 (Lenny), which I am accessing through a mapped network drive under Windows 7. The setup appears to run fine, I receive no permission errors when copying a file to the share the first time, but the file never shows up in the directory (it's invisible, doing a ls -lha on the directory as root on the server also shows no files. When attempting to copy the file once more I am informed that the file already exists though, and I am asked if I wish to overwrite the file, when selecting "Yes" to this, I receive a permission error saying I'm not able to write to the folder. My logs aren't reporting any access violations of any kind, what could be the problem?     I'm trying to password protect a WordPress login page on my Nginx server. When I navigate to http://www.example.com/wp-login.php, this brings up the "Authentication Required" prompt (not the WordPress login page) for a username and password. However, when I input the correct credentials, it downloads the PHP source code (wp-login.php) instead of showing the WordPress login page. Permission for my htpasswd file is set to 644.     Hi All, I am having following issue with reading binary file in C. I have read the first 8 bytes of a binary file. Now I need to start reading from the 9th byte. Following is the code: fseek(inputFile, 2*sizeof(int), SEEK_SET); However, when I print the contents of the array where I store the retrieved values, it still shows me the first 8 bytes which is not what I need.   • gvim Cannot make changes, 'modifiable' is off issues with file explorer.

    In gvim using netrw(the file explorer), I usually middle click a file to open it in the last active window. This just leads to an error stating "Cannot make changes, 'modifiable' is off". Another middle click, and the file opens fine where I expect it to. All buffers are saved, there's no uncommuted changes anywhere. What causes this, and what can I do about it ?
