  Hi all, I am new to Pentaho, and I am struggling to set up a new database connection. I am trying to connect to an Oracle 10g database, but whenever I test the connection, I get the below error. It doesn't really seem to list any specific error message so I'm not really sure what to do or where to go from this point. I placed ojdbc jar's in my tomcat lib folder, but maybe there is another place those should go. Any help/hints would be greatly appreciated.   So I have been asked to help maintain a website that uses Ruby on Rails. Now, let me just say I've been programming Ruby for awhile but I am still new to Rails. The first problem brought to my attention is how the activation email takes about six hours to arrive. It would be one thing if the email was not being sent due to errors but it is being send correctly, just slow. Also the server this is running on is also its own SMTP. I checked how the email was being formatted before calling the setup_email method and everything looks okay. I even dug into the ActionMailer lib and read through the files there and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. So what is most likely causing the email to take six hours to deliver?

This worked fine in JBoss 3.2.7. Edit: My current workaround for this problem: create a new container configuration in jboss.xml and remove the security interceptor stuff from this configuration use this newly created container configuration for all my session beans that I only use locally (i.e. via local interface).

  Hi guys, I'm reasonably new to JEE, so this might be stupid.. bear with me pls :D I would like to inject a stateless session bean into a message-driven bean. Basically, the MDB gets a JMS message, then uses a session bean to perform the work. The session bean holds the business logic. • What is causing a Hibernate SQL query exception?

  Hi all and sorry in advance for this post but I've spent way too much time going around in circles so I'm hoping someone could shed a light on it here for me. I updated a webapp on Tomcat and I'm getting the following error which didn't exist on the previous version. Though I am quite confident that the part of code I modifed isn't to blame as I have tested the app on two different dev servers. The production server is configured thus: CentOS 5.4 virtual server with tomcat 5.5.23 running mysql 5.0.77. The two dev servers are: Windows XP SP2 running tomcat 5.5.23 with mysql 5.1.49 Mac OSX 10.6.6 Running tomcat 6 with mysql 5.1.51 The application was developed using struts (1.1 as far as I can gather) with hibernate 3 as the peristence layer. It only fails on the production server for some reason I can't fathom. I'd like to draw your attention to the java.sql.SQLException near the bottom. After some long searching I found this but because it was posted years ago (about 1 year before development started on this app I'm sure Hibernate has evolved from that version. as I can't find a way of implementing his solution. I use Eclipse Helios as an IDE. • Problems with shutting down JBoss in Eclipse if I change JNDI port

  1st phase I have a problem shutting down my running JBoss instance under Eclipse since I changed the JNDI port of JBoss. Of course I can shut it down from the console view but not with the stop button (it still searches JNDI port at the default 1099 port). I'm looking forward to any solutions. Thank you! • what in/out bound mail system to use ? hosted or not ?

  hi all I have a ruby / rails application that integrates in and outgoing email directly into the app. The app is going to be running on multiple domains each with posible many users sending and recieving email. I have looked into sendgrid, mailchimp and mad mimi as hosted services and also looked to create my own email server. There are advantages and disadvantages of both solutions and i am not sure which one to go down and am hoping someone can give me advice ?? Any help will be great. I know email is a hassle to manage but once set up correctly cant be that bad ?? Thanks in advance Rick

Would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

• SSL HandShakeException: No_Certificate. Using IBM's J9 JVM and Apache Tomcat

  I am developing a mobile application that is to run on a Windows Mobile PDA. The application is written in Java and to run it we are using the J9 JVM from IBM. The application communicates with an Apache Tomcat server over HTTP and we are trying to set it up now to use SSL. I have generated public/private keys for both the client and the server, exported their self signed certificates and imported them into the respective keystores. Initially I tried to just get it working using only server side authentication and that was successful. But I am now trying to get mutual authentication by setting clientAuth="true" in the server.xml file in the apache conf directory. I have enabled the SSL logging on the server and when the client connects the server reports an SSLProtocolException: handshake alert: no_certificate. The client logs also show an exception: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: unexpected_message at com.ibm.j9.jsse.SSLSocketImpl.completeHandshake(Unknown Source) at com.ibm.j9.jsse.SSLSocketImpl.startHandshake(Unknown Source) at com.ibm.oti.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection.openSocket(Unknown Source) at com.ibm.oti.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection.connect(Unknown Source) at com.ibm.oti.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection.sendRequest(Unknown Source) at com.ibm.oti.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection.doRequest(Unknown Source) at com.ibm.oti.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) The client keystore and truststore is configured by setting the following System Properties: javax.net.ssl.trustStore javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword javax.net.ssl.keyStore javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword Does anyone have any ideas how I can set up client authentication on the J9 JVM?
