    I have two similar sites: - two of them have almost exactly the same codes, and running on the same server - both sites are the same, they just use different language. - database of the slower site is populated (maybe only the user table) the other tables for site content is the same - the faster uses root to access database one of the sites is not released yet, so it uses IP Address to access the site instead of domain name the site that is using IP address is faster (lot faster) the site that is using domain name is slower do you know why is this happening what could be the reason?

  • Using `g_object_set_data` for passing user name.

    I am using g_object_set_data to set user name with event_box so in call back i can get it with in event_box pointer. g_object_set_data(G_OBJECT(event_box), "user_name", (gpointer)(user_name) ); but problem is that i am setting user_name which is not an pointer allocated string. It is an local string (not allocated on hip) which gets destroyed. So is it necessary to allocated and then use the pointer, i just want to associate one name with this event_box.

  • installed openstack using devstack install shell script but getting 500 error when i try opening dashboard

    I followed the instructions at http://devstack.org/guides/single-machine.html to install OpenStack. I first installed Ubuntu on my Windows 7 PC using the officially supported Windows installer for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. And after that I followed the instructions at above page to install OpenStack. As per instructions, I should be able to access the dashboard aka Horizon, at http://192.168.1.4/ (thats the IP of the PC on which I installed Ubuntu-OpenStack). However I am getting a 500 error web page when I open that. How do I resolve this error? I want to set up a dev environment for OpenStack.     My company is about to get a new physical connection to the Internet, replacing the old provider. They, of course, are giving us the allotted IPs, Gateway, and DNS servers. My domain name is registered with a provider like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. When this new connection goes in, what do I change in the domain name providers DNS? I know to change what Host point to. That is my new IP address. But what about the name servers? I am confused because the company gave me IP addresses for the name servers, but at the provider is has a DNS server name like ns1.somedomain.com. Also, How do I update the Internet's DNS servers?     I'm having problems getting a Silverlight DataGrid to stretch to accommodate all the items in it's dataSource. I've got a Grid that contains two DataGrids. I've tried setting height=Auto on the Grid and the DataGrids. I've tried setting HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch" on the Grid and the DataGrids.   • Putting data from local SQL database to remote SQL database without remote SQL access enabled (PHP)

    Hi, I have a local database, and all the tables are defined. Eventually I need to publish my data remotely, which I can do easily with PHPmyadmin. Problem however is that my remote host doesn't allow remote SQL connections at all, so writing a script that does a mysqldump and run it through a client (which would've been ideal) won't help me here. Since the schema won't change, but the data will, I need some kind of PHP client that works "reverse". My question is if such a client exists and what would be recommended to use (by experience). I just need an one way trip here, from my local database (Rails) to the remote database (supports PHP), preferable as simple and slick as possible. Thank you for your replies, comments and feedback!

    How can I disable the local user account password complexity settings on Windows 2008 R2 "Server Core"? I am trying to migrate our windows 2003 web server to windows 2008 R2. I am trying to see if I can use the "Server Core" install, and it has been a very internet search intensive experience. What I can't find out how to do is to find out how to disable password complexity for local user accounts. While our user account generator currently creates nice strong passwords, there was a time when this was not the case and unfortunately forcing the users to change their password is not an option at this time.   • Associate mount points with local disks in VBscript / WMI

    I have a VBscript that outputs various config items about a system. Both hardware and software. I can output disks and their associated partitions. I can output mount points. I do not seem to be able to associate a mount point with a local disk (where it actually is a local disk). I need to be able to do this using VBscript, so as to fit in with the rest of the ~2000 lines of code. I do NOT want to run some other program graphically. I know the disk manager service can show me (My Computer - Manage - Disk Management), but this is not what I need. I need to be able to do this remotely via VBscript. I am open to running an .exe from the VBscript and piping the output back into VBscript and massaging it from there. Any idea's ? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I have a spring mvc project in eclipse, and its setup to use maven. I can resolve all my external dependencies, but now I want to include another local project in my workspace. Normally, I would do this through the java build path, and add a project reference. But if I do that manually, m2eclipse just removes those references from my classpath file. I'm assuming this is because maven wants to handle all dependencies. So I enable dependency management on the local project (the source files i want to include), and now when I add dependencies, this project shows up, and it adds it as a jar type (which is correct). I also ran maven-package to create a snapshot of the source project. But the jar is never added in the maven library list, and the project doesn't build because it can't find the classes. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help!

    I have installed the latest hg package available for Fedora Linux. However, hg clone reports an error. hg clone http://localmachine001:8000/ repository reports: "abort: error: Name or service not known" localmachine001 is a computer within the local network. I can ping it from my Linux box without any problems. I can also use the same http address and browse the existing code. However, hg clone does not work. If I execute the same command from my Macintosh machine, I can easily clone the repository. Some Internet resources recommend editing .hgrc file, and adding proxy to it: [http_proxy] host=proxy:8080 I have tried that without any success. Also, I assume that proxy is not needed in this case, since the hg server machine is in my local network. Can anyone recommend me what should I do, or how could I track the problem? In my development environment, everything works just fine. I am using JQuery/Ajax to update product information based on product's Color attribute. for example, a product has A and B color, the price for color A is different from color B. When user choose different color, the price information is updated as well.
