Its a Master ans Slave method. Assume DNS Servers are: ns1.customdnsserver.com [192.168.91.129] ==> Master ns2.customdnsserver.com [192.168.91.130] ==> Slave Now i will host few shared hosting websites in my own web server. Where i will link above Nameservers to my domains in shared hosting. My Question is: How do i tell root DNS servers about my own authoritative only DNS server? So that when someone queries for domain www.example.com and if the domain's website is hosted in my shared hosting i want root servers to point the query to my own DNS Server so that the www.example.com get resolved for IP address.

• Changing Windows public folder in batch script.

  I've installed Steam on an external hard drive so I can play games on different computers by just moving the drive around. Since save games are often saved in My Documents or AppData, but I want them to move with the external hard drive, I wrote a batch file that sets environment variables before starting steam. setocal set USERPROFILE=%EXTERNAL_LETTER%\Profile\Me set APPDATA=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming ... start %TARGETAPP% endlocal I'm not sure if this is the right way to do this on Windows, but it seems to work. However, one game saves its games in the Shared Documents folder. I've tried setting %PUBLIC% and %ALLUSERSPROFILE% but that does not seem to affect where the game looks. Is it possible to make this one program use a different Shared Documents folder, either by environment variables or some other means? The change in Shared Documents should only affect the one program, I do not want it to be a permanent or system wide change to Windows.

  I'm comparing these two Apple laptops: MacBook Pro (13", 2011 model): 2.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor with 4MB shared L3 cache 4GB (two 2GB SO-DIMMs) of 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory on 2.4GHz configuration MacBook Air (13", 2011 model): 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with 3MB shared L3 cache 4GB of 1333MHz DDR3 onboard memory Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor with 384MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory There's definitely a gap between them in terms of CPU speed and graphics, but what practical difference would this make on a day-to-day basis? On the one hand, I love the sleek, thin appearance of the Air. On the other hand, I don't want a machine that's going to be dog-slow when doing tasks such as running Virtual Machines, dual-booting to Windows and running multiple instances of Visual Studio, and maybe some light gaming. Is there going to be a major difference that makes the MacBook Pro a more attractive purchase?

• OpenCart Service Scheduling

  I am looking to develop an extension to OpenCart which will allow me to both sell products and sell scheduled services. For the scheduled services, I would like to have the storefront interface change so the customer sees a calendar. It would be Nirvana for the calendar to show only available dates/times, but at the very least they should see a calendar. Then, on the administrative side, there should be a place where there is a list of desired dates/times for scheduled services. I'm wondering if anyone is aware of community-developed extensions which do this, or come close? If not, any recommendations for how to accomplish this properly are welcome. Thanks in advance.

• How do I get date form week, working also with 53-week years? c#

  Hey, I have made a function to cound the weeks in a year, and that works fine. The problem is that I need a method to get the mondaydate of the week. This is a swedish calendar. The code below works well for years that have 52 weeks, but some years(like 2009) has 53 weeks. Then I got a date from januari as the mondaydate(cant be right). So please help me to get it to work for all years. What I probably could do is check if the year has 53 weeks and then do some checks but I'd like it to go smooth without special checks. • Zoneminder camera permanently idle

  I have an Ubuntu server with zoneminder installed. I only have one camera (cheap Logitech USB model) and it seems to be permanently idle. • System halts for a fraction of second after every 2-3 seconds

  I'm using Windows 7 on my HP ProBook 4250s. The problem I face is that my system halts for a fraction of second after every 2-3 seconds. These jerks are not letting me concentrate or work properly. This happens even when I'm just typing in notepad while no other application is running. I tried to install every driver from HP's website and there's no item in device manager marked with yellow icon. • Jquery Widget Performance

  I am working on an interface which involves ALOT of javascript. There is a calendar and blocks drawn on the calendar. The calendar is a jQuery widget, which works beautifully. The blocks drawn on top are also jQuery widgets. While it works - I am wondering, every time I create another block, is the widget fully duplicating, or is it referencing the widget? If I end up with 200 blocks on the screen, do I have 200 copies of the widget? Because if so i'm sure this will impact the performance quite heavily. Also it would determine whether I have functions inside the widget, or have them external to the widget looking in if that makes sense. Just putting some feelers out there for thoughts. I couldn't find anything by searching online.

  I just bought a VPS with cPanel/WHM. My hosting provider gave me 3 dedicated IP addresses with my plan. I read on the internet that I should use 2 IPs for my nameservers and the other one as the main IP for all my shared accounts. Could you tell me why I should do that ? What are the advantages of using IP addresses only for nameservers and another one only for my shared accounts instead of using the same IP for all my nameservers and shared account ? I'm asking because I don't want to use an IP for nothing. Thank you.

• How do I properly load the jQuery fullcalendar plugin in a hidden div

  I'm using the jQuery tools tabs to divide my page into tabs. One of those tabs contain a jQuery Fullcalendar. Because I load JavaScript last in the page for speed and to avoid flash of unstyled content, I hide the initially unseen tabs using display:none. When doing this, the fullcalendar doesn't render properly. It shows the proper buttons, but until I press the today-button, no calendar is shown. If I allow it to render into a visible div, it displays properly. I can work around this using the tab-select events to render the calendar or by moving the calendar and tab scripts to the head, but I'd rather if there was a more proper solution.

• Configuring SMB shares in OS X

  I'm at my wit's end trying to control SMB file sharing on my Mac. (OS X 10.5 Leopard). I want to do something fairly simple: share a particular (non-home, non-Public) folder over my my SMB/Windows network with two users (accounts are local to my Mac), and share no other folders with anyone. The instructions on the internet are fairly straightforward: add the folders to be shared to the File Sharing panel of the Sharing System Preferences pane: ..and ensure that I'm sharing through SMB: However, when I actually try to connect via a SMB client (Windows XP in this case), the share does not appear. I see my home directory, "Macintosh HD", and my printers, but not the folder I just shared. I ensured that the underlying directory had the proper permissions (since this seems to affect share visibility) and that the "Shared Folder" checkbox was checked: ...but this didn't have any effect. I checked /etc/smb.conf but there was nothing obviously out of place there. I've also restarted smbd and rebooted. What else should I be looking for?

• Temp files created in every folder in Windows Server 2003

  So we have some folders which are shared over the AD Domain (Windows Server 2003). It was just noticed that in 2 of those folders (which contain only Excel and Word files), whenever a file is opened and closed, the temp file which was opened corresponding to that file still remains. Apparently, this's been going on for the past couple of years (which has led to an insane amount of temp files in each folder/subfolder under those shared folders). These shared folders are under the D:drive and not C: drive. There is only one group (containing 2 users) who access the said folders. I cannot understand if this has to do with the settings/permissions for the User/Group/Individual Client machine. For now, I have manually deleted all the temp files from each folder/subfolder. While this is not critical at the moment, I'd still like to clear this up. Also, it takes an additional fraction of a second to open folders that contains more than 10,000 temp files. • WPF Issues with Control Layout

  I am making an application that connects to our billing software using its API, and I am running into a few issues getting the layout working properly. I want to make it so that when one of the expanders is minimized, the other window fills the gap, and when it is expanded again the other expander goes back to where it was. Right now when the arrow is clicked on one, there is just an empty gap. I used a DockPanel as the parent which I assumed would automatically do this, but it isn't working. Second question, is there a way to make these areas resizable? I don't want to try and get too frisky with allowing the user to undock the menus (don't even know if that is possible with just straight WPF) but it would be nice if they could change the width/height of them. Also, just a newbie question to C#, but what is the equivalent of a C++ header file? It looks like you just use .cs files, but I am not sure. I want to extract all of my functions that pull the data from the billing software and put them into a different file to clean up the code. • Creating sharable sub-folders from PC to an iMac

  A client has two PCs and an iMac with shared folders. I managed to get the folders shared so that each PC can see them. I also was able to create a text file from each PC on the iMac. However, if PC #1 creates a new folder on the iMac, PC #2 can't see it. It appears the iMac does not automatically share it. Clicking "share" on the "get info" for the folder does not work. Is there some type of setting so that if a PC creates a folder that it is created with the owner of the iMac? Is there a way to automatically share new sub-folders on a share folder that is already shared?

• Integrating iCalendar in Moodle

  Hi all, I am working on a Moodle project and I have downloaded and installed the latest build(1.9) on my system. I'm using this framework for the very first time so presently trying to get familiar with the environment and the documentation. My need is to embed an iCal kinda calendar on Moodle's front page using the PHP iCalendar API. I downloaded the latest version of PHP iCalendar but kinda needed some help figuring things out further. I am trying to build a plug-in sorta thing which allows you to put a custom-built calendar (in place of the regular Moodle calendar) on your Moodle site. • C# failing LDAP queries

  I'm trying to access an LDAP directory via the SearchRequest object in C#. I can make the same calls via an LDAP library running in and iPhone app, as well as directly via a terminal session. However, the C# queries all seem to fail. var search = new SearchRequest("ou=calendar,dc=ualberta,dc=ca", "term=*,course=094398,class=*", System.DirectoryServices.Protocols.SearchScope.Subtree, attributeLst); This returns a list of terms for the course calendar. However, making the following calls won't return results for specific courses var search = new SearchRequest("ou=calendar,dc=ualberta,dc=ca", "term=1330,course=094398", System.DirectoryServices.Protocols.SearchScope.Subtree, attributeLst); The attributeLst object has proper attribute names included, but the query always returns with zero results. Any suggestions anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

• "sh: /usr/sbin/xenstored: not found" - But it's there?

  What would cause running the file /usr/sbin/xenstored to print sh: /usr/sbin/xenstored: not found However, the file /usr/sbin/xenstored is there and is not a symbolic link. Actually I should be running this as root. That prints a similarly odd message. sudo: unable to execute /usr/sbin/xenstored: No such file or directory By the way, xenstored is not a script, it's an ELF executable. My guess is that it's because I haven't gotten all the dependent libraries installed. However, I would expect it to say something like this: ./xenstored: error while loading shared libraries: libxenctrl.so.4.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Which is true of running xenstored on a system that doesn't have all the required libraries. Why do I get "not found" vs the much more useful "cannot open shared object file"?

  I try to use AlarmManager to setup an alarm that happens after some seconds from now. Here is my code: AlarmManager am = (AlarmManager)context.getSystemService(Context.ALARM_SERVICE); Intent intent = new Intent(ALARM_ACTION); PendingIntent alarmIntent = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(getBaseContext(), 0, intent, PendingIntent.FLAG_UPDATE_CURRENT); Calendar rightNow = Calendar.getInstance(); rightNow.add(Calendar.SECOND, NumOfSecond); am.set(AlarmManager.RTC, rightNow.getTimeInMillis(), alarmIntent); For example, if rightNow is 8:00AM and I hope my alarm happens after 14400 seconds, that is 12:00PM, so NumOfSecond will be set as 14400. But when the code runs what happens is the alarm not always happens exactly at 12:00PM, sometimes it will be delayed by 1 or 2 minutes, or even 5 minutes! Does any one know what the heck is happened here?

  Hi guys, I would like to know if it is possible to re-size and re-position a greybox or shadowbox window to display in a certain div element? I am creating a template for a wordpress site, and I am using the default calendar, but when you click on a date inside of the calendar, the default action is to open it up in a new window. Would it be possible to mod greybox or shadowbox in such a way that when you click on a date, the box opens up over the calendar displaying the contents in it, instead of a new page? Or is there another way of achieving the desired result, maybe with jQuery or Javascript? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx in advance!

• c# - clear surface when resizing

  Hello, I'm trying to build my own custom control for a windows forms application in C#.Net. Currently I paint some rectangles and other graphic elements using the paint event. When I now resize the app form to fit the desktop size, all elements are repainted (which is exactly the behaviour I need) but the old one's are shown in the background. Here's what I'm doing by now: Pen penDefaultBorder = new Pen(Color.Wheat, 1); int margin = 5; private void CustomControl_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { CustomControl calendar = (CustomControl)sender; Graphics graphics = e.Graphics; graphics.Clear(Color.WhiteSmoke); graphics.DrawRectangle(penDefaultBorder, margin, margin, calendar.Width - margin * 2, calendar.Height - margin * 2); //... } Neither the graphics.Clear, nor adding a graphics.FillRectangle(...) will hide the old rectangle from the surface. • Zoneminder camera permanently idle

  I have an Ubuntu server with zoneminder installed. I only have one camera (cheap Logitech USB model) and it seems to be permanently idle. What do I need to do to get this working?

• I need some MySQL lookup table advice

  I have a MySQL database with about 200 tables. 50 of these are small 2-field 'id-data' lookup tables. Several of these DB's are hosted on a shared server. I have been informed that I need to reduce the total number of tables in the shared hosting environment because of performance issues relating to too many tables. My question is: Could/Should the 50 2-Field lookup tables be combined into a single 3-field table with 'id-field_name-data' Fields? Even if this can be done, I will have a lot of work to do on the PHP user application. My other choice is moving the DB's to a dedicated server at much higher hosting cost. I don't believe my 200 table DB's are actually causing any performance issues on this shared hosting server, at least not from the user application standpoint. There are never more than 10 of these tables joined in any single query; although I have seen some very-slow queries generated by phpmyadmin on these DB's.

• User accounts in FTP

  I have an FTP server(proftpd on debian) that I'm going to allow a couple friends access to, and I want some safety nets in place, just in case. These are some of the things I'd like to do: Jail the accounts to their home directories and impose a cap on the amount of data they can upload Allow them access to a shared folder(via symlink or something) where they have full access(Also with a storage cap, but larger) Allow my own account full access to the system(Using groups I guess) Not allow anonymous access, or allow it with its own folder, separate from the shared user folder Currently, I've got the accounts set up and jailed, but it seems like the symlink that I put in is not allowing them to visit the shared folder. I suppose this has to do with them not having read permissions anywhere but their own home directories, or maybe it's something else, I'll continue to look into it and provide any information that is requested. Is what I'm trying to do possible? Any tips or resources that you can share are appreciated. Thanks.
