    Hello Guy, I have been stuck on this problem for quite awhile... I hope someone out there can give me a hand. The following table is in my database: Product_ID Color Type 1 Red Leather 1 Silver Metal 1 Blue Leather 2 Orange Metal 2 Purple Metal I am trying to get the following output: Product_ID Type Color 1 Leather Red, Blue 1 Metal Silver 2 Metal Orange, Purple I know it has to do with some kind of double group by and a group_concat.... have been looking at this for an hour without figuring it out.     Hi, I'm trying to look through an array of records (staff members), in this loop, I call a function which returns another array of records (appointments for each staff member). foreach($staffmembers as $staffmember) { $staffmember['appointments'] = get_staffmember_appointments_for_day($staffmember); // print_r($staffmember['appointments'] works fine } This is working OK, however, later on in the script, I need to loop through the records again, this time making use of the appointment arrays, however they are unavailable. foreach ($staffmembers as $staffmember) { //do some other stuff //print_r($staffmember['appointments'] no longer does anything } Normally, I would perform the function from the first loop, within the second, however this loop is already nested within two others, which would cause the same sql query to be run 168 times. Can anyone suggest a workaround? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Multi-threaded downloader in C# question

    Currently I have multi-threaded downloader class that uses HttpWebRequest/Response. All works fine, it's super fast, BUT.. the problem is that the data needs to be streamed while it's downloading to another app. That means that it must be streamed in the right order, the first chunk first, and then the next in the queue. Currently my downloader class is sync and Download() returns byte[]. In my async multi-threaded class I make for example, list with 4 empty elements (for slots) and I pass each index of the slot to each thread using the Download() function. That simulates synchronization, but that's not what I need. How should I do the queue thing, to make sure the data is streamed as soon as the first chunk start downloading.

What I am getting it s this "titletxt". How should the $post_title . "txt" be written to provide txt as an extension? Thanks

  • C++ - Resources in static library question

    Hello! This isn't a duplicate of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/531502/vc-resources-in-a-static-library because it didn't help :) I have a static library with TWO .rc files in it's project. When I build my project using the Debug configuration, I retrieve the following error (MSVS2008): fatal error LNK1241: resource file res_yyy.res already specified Note, that this happens only in Debug and Release library builds without any troubles. The command line for Resources page in project configuration looks the same for every build: /fo"...(Path here)/Debug/project_name.res" /fo"...(Path here)/Release/project_name.res" and I can't understand what's the trouble. Any ideas? UPDATE I don't know why this happens, but when I turn "Use Link-Time Code Generation" option on the problem goes away. Could somebody explain why does this happen? I feel like MS-compiler is doing something really strange here. Thanks.

    Hi all, I've just started to learn C and it's going pretty slow...I wanted to write a program that takes in an integer argument and returns it's doubled value (aka take in integer, multiply by 2, and printf that value). I purposely did not want to use the scanf function. Here's what I have so far and what is not compiling... #include <stdio.h> int main(int index) { if (!(index)) { printf("No index given"); return 1; } a = index*2; printf("Mult by 2 %d",a); return 0; } So basically when the program is executed I want to supply the index integer. So, in cygwin, I would write something like ./a 10 and 10 would be stored into the index variable. Also, I want to program to return "No index given" and exit if no index value was supplied... Anyone care to help what I'm doing wrong?     Hi. #include <stdio.h> main() { int a; for(a=1; a<=4 && printf("%d ",a); a++) { int a; static int b=a; printf("%d ",(a++)-b); } getchar(); getchar(); } In this code, the printout is 1 0 2 1 3 2 4 3. I understand why the int a; part works differently then the int a which was defined outside the for function, and why static int b; is only defined once with the primary value of a ; but why does the (a++) part in printf affect proceeding values of a? Don't we redefine int a; each time the for function runs? Thanks in advance.

Right now I'm basically taking all the posts they've already voted on and subtracting that from the entire set of posts.   • Access VBA question: Change the query being referenced by a function, depending on context

    I have a custom function in Access2007 that hinges on grabbing data out of a specific query. It opens Outlook, creates a new email and populates the fields with specific addresses and data taken from the query ("DecisionEmail"). Now I want to make a different query ("RequestEmail") and have it populate the email with that data. So all I have to do is change this line: Set MailList = db.OpenRecordset("DecisionEmail") and that's where I get stumped. This is my desired result: If the user is on Form_Decision and clicks the button "Send email", "DecisionEmail" will get plugged into the function and that data will appear in the email. If the user on Form_SendRequest and clicks the button "Send email", "RequestEmail" will instead get plugged in. The reason that these are different queries is because they contain very different information that is smudged about in different ways. However, since it's just one little thing that needs to change in the function code, I don't think a brand new function is a good idea. My last resort would be to make a brand new function and use the Conditions field in the Macro interface to choose between them, but I have a feeling there's a more elegant solution possible. I have a vague notion of setting the query names as variables and using an If statement but I just don't have the mental vocabulary for thinking through this.

    In a recent interview I was asked what the difference between .Any() and .Length > 0 was and why I would use either when testing to see if a collection had elements. This threw me a little as it seems a little obvious but feel I may be missing something. I suggested that you use .Length when you simply need to know that a collection has elements and .Any() when you wish to filter the results. Presumably .Any() takes a performance hit too as it has to do a loop / query internally.

  • asp.net and Visual studio root directory question

    I am seeing something very odd and thought I would ask the Stackoverflow community if they knew the answer. I have an asp.net project that runs fine in one environment, but couldn't figure out what happened to the styles in another environment. In the first environment (Windows 2008 Server), the following link worked fine: <link href="/Styles/09/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> but in the other environment (it's a Windows 7), I had to change it to work: <link href="../Styles/09/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> Notice that the directories seemed to shift ahead one directory in the Win7, what's going on? It's like the "running" directory seems now be the \bin directory instead of the home! Which environment is configured correctly? How do I determine execution directory level? My concern going forward is pushing to a prod environment and guessing which configuration is correct. Any insight would be appreciated!
