  • django-cms lighttpd redirect domain to url

    Hello, I am using djano-cms for my site, but instead of language alias /en/ /de/ I need to use another domain. I would like to avoid running multiple django instances, and instead I would like to use lighttpd redirects if possible. I would like requests coming to domain2.com getting data from domain.com/en . The best would be if the user entering: domain2.com/offer got transparently data from domain.com/en/offer Tried many solutions with url.redirect, url.rewrite but none seems to work as desired. Also tried with: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/261904/matching-domains-with-regex-for-lighttpd-mod-evhost-www-domain-com-domain-com but that didn't work. Please help.     I have a requirement where in I want to redirect to an external Url Here is my code in routes.rb map.connect "/myapp/:someparam" , :controller = "foocontroller" , :action = "redirect_to_external_url" In my foo controller i have this action def redirect_to_external_url redirect_to "http://externalurl.com/#{params[:someparam]}.html" end which will redirect to the external url The problem That I am facing is After redirecting, The browser shows "http://externalurl.com/bar.html whereas I want the browser to show "/myapp/bar" url (ex http://mydomain.com/myapp/bar) for seo purpose. Any idea on how this can be achieved in rails ? The Rails version that I am using is 2.3.4

    I am trying to put some images on my website that are hosted on Imgur but i only have the link to the Imgur page, not the actual image URL. For example, on this album the URL I am trying to get is this: http://i.imgur.com/csb9Q.jpg (I only need the first image) I have noticed that when the page only has one image, the image file name is the same as the URL address, for example: http://imgur.com/sYlGa & http://i.imgur.com/sYlGa.jpg So this isnt a problem. But for pages with multiple images, this is not the case so how can i get the image URL?

    Hi, I'm writing an extension method called ToPhoneFormat that formats a string of digits to phone numbers. Is it possible to add a parameter to the method that would enable me to call it like this: MyPhoneString.ToPhoneFormat(international code) That way, I could write MyPhoneString.ToPhoneFormat(1); to format a US phone number and MyPhoneString.ToPhoneFormat(33) to format a French phone number. I already wrote the method that does the formatting but I'm wondering how to build the constructor so that it works with a parameter when I'm calling it. Thanks.

    Hi, on our site we do url rewriting to generate massive amounts of database generated pages. on every page, there is a Login control for users. like this: Internal aspx page: /DB.aspx?id=123 User visible url: /ABC/123.aspx, /ABC/456.aspx ... (url rewritten) unfortunately, the tag on each page has an action attribute of "DB.aspx?id=123". when the user clicks the button the browser is posting to /ABC/DB.aspx?id=123 which of course does not exist. solutions i tried: 1. change the action attribute by subclassing HtmlForm. this destroys the all other forms on the site. 2. remove the action attribute (so that the browser is always posting to the same url). this works on the rewritten pages but on "/" (the default.aspx in the root dir) i get a message that the verb post is not allowed on "/" (iis 6 and i have no control over mappings) anybody?

Why?

    Context: .Net, C# I want to print a complex number made from two doubles. The sign needs to show on the imaginary part. I'd like to use the default double formatting for each part to minimize the number of characters. I tried using String.Format("{0:+G;-G}{1:+G;-G}j", real, imaginary) but this ended up printing: "+G-Gj". Not quite what I wanted. Is there any way to do this using the G specifier or do I need to do a custom format which would sacrifice auto-switching the exponent, e.g. {1:+#.######e###;-#.######e###}j"

    Hello, does anyone knows a file format for configuration files easy to read by humans? I want to have something like tag = value where value may be: String Number(int or float) Boolean(true/false) Array(of String values, Number values, Boolean values) Another structure(it will be more clear what I mean in the fallowing example) Now I use something like this: IntTag=1 FloatTag=1.1 StringTag="a string" BoolTag=true ArrayTag1=[1 2 3] ArrayTag2=[1.1 2.1 3.1] ArrayTag3=["str1" "str2" "str3"] StructTag= { NestedTag1=1 NestedTag2="str1" } and so on. Parsing is easy but for large files I find it hard to read/edit in text editors. I don't like xml for the same reason, it's hard to read. INI does not support nesting and I want to be able to nest tags. I also don't want a complicated format because I will use limited kind of values as I mentioned above. Thanks for any help.

    i was wondering if there is a data structure optimized to count frequencies against data that is stored in a database table-like format. for example, the data comes in a (comma) delimited format below. col1, col2, col3 x, a, green x, b, blue ... y, c, green now i simply want to count the frequency of col1=x or col1=x and col2=green. i have been storing the data in a database table, but in my profiling and from empirical observation, database connection is the bottle-neck. i have tried using in-memory database solutions too, and that works quite well; the only problem is memory requirements and quirky init/destroy calls. also, i work mainly with java, but have experience with .net, and was wondering if there was any api to work with "tabular" data in a linq way using java. any help is appreciated.
