• Adding users to multiple/all sites in Google Webmaster Tools?

  I didn't find an answer to this, but maybe I didn't use the right terms for my search. So I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. Anyway, my situation is this: the company I work at manages a lot of sites (100+), and we've recently put them all into Google Webmaster Tools under my Google account, which was tedious enough. Now two coworkers are supposed to be added as users for each site, so they can see the data and manage stuff there as well. But I can only find an option to add users for a single site, not for all sites that are currently associated with my account. Do I really have to go through more than a hundred sites one by one and add the two users to each of them, or is there some way to add both users to all/multiple sites at once?

• Finding out the windows group by virtue of which a user is able to access a database in sql server?

  There is a SQL Server 2005 database with mixed-mode authentication. Among others, we have the following logins on the server: our-domain\developers-group-1, and our-domain\developers-group-2 which are AD groups. The our-domain\developer-group-2 is added to the sysadmin role on the server, by virture of which all domain users of that group can access any database as SQL Server implictly maps the sysadmin role to the dbo user in each database. There are two users our-domain\good-user and our-domain\bad-user The issue is the following: Both the good-user and the bad-user have the exact same AD group memberships. They are both members of our-domain\developers-group-1 and our-domain\developers-group-2. The good-user is able to access all the databases, and the bad-user is not. The bad-user is able to login, but he is unable access any databases. By the way, I am the good-user. How do I go about finding out why? Here's what I tried so far: When I do print current_user, I get dbo When I do print system_user, I get my-domain\good-user When I do select * from fn_my_permissions(NULL, 'SERVER'), I see permissions. But if do execute as user='my-domain\good-user'; select * from fn_my_permissions(NULL, 'SERVER'), I dont see any permisisons. And When I do, execute as user='my-domain\bad-user'; select * from fn_my_permissions(NULL, 'SERVER'), I dont see any permisisons. Also, I was wondering if there is a sql command that will tell me, "hey! the current database user is able to access this database because he is a member such-and-such ad-group, which is a login that is mapped to such-and-such user in this database".

• Symfony2: automatically logging in users from their Windows session

  In Symfony2 I have built an intranet. It currently uses the FOSUserBundle and an LDAP bundle to log users in, and I would like to add the functionality to log in user from their session in Windows. I found an NTLM script for PHP and an updated version of it, but I haven't been able to incorporate them into Symfony2. I also found an NTLM bundle for Symfony2, but it was written for an older version of Symfony and it is not maintained anymore. I was unable to rewrite it and get it to work. My question is; how could I automatically log in users from their Windows session in my Symfony2-app, in addition to the already present LDAP functionality? What would be the best and easiest way?

  I want to have multiple a MySQL users to be able to issue commands like CREATE DATABASE dbTest; But I also want each of these users to be able to see and access only their own databases. All I could find was how to either create the databases by a DBA and grant the privileges on this database to the specific user: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON dbTest.* TO 'user'; or grant privileges on all databases to a user: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'user'; But neither is what I want, because it needs to scale and be secure.

• emails not going out to all users

  I have a few scripts that send out emails to my users, and for some reason not all users are getting the email. The site is not live yet, so its no big deal yet but I dont understand why. I have set up a few fake accounts, one with my school email, one with hotmail and one with yahoo. When I sign up with my school email I recieve the welcome email, but I get nothing with the other email accounts. The same thing with my 'forgot password' email. Only my school email works, yahoo and hotmail arent working... I'm running on a Linux server with Apache. Using PHP and the kohana framework 2.3.4 Thanks.

  Hi, I am required to work on a php project that requires the database to cater to multiple users. Generally, the idea is similar to what they have for carbonmade or basecamp, or even wordpress mu. They cater to multiple users, whom are also owners of their accounts. And if they were to cancel/terminate their account, anything on the pages/database would be removed. I am not quite sure how should I design the database? Should it be: separate tables for individual user account separate databases for individual user account or otherwise?   If you program for a nontechnical audience, you find yourself at a high risk that users will not read your carefully worded and enlightening error messages, but just click on the first button available with a shrug of frustration. So, I'm wondering what good practices you can recommend to help users actually read your error message, instead of simply waiving it aside. Ideas I can think of would fall along the lines of: Formatting of course help; maybe a simple, short message, with a "learn more" button that leads to the longer, more detailed error message Have all error messages link to some section of the user guide (somewhat difficult to achieve) Just don't issue error messages, simply refuse to perform the task (a somewhat "Apple" way of handling user input) Edit: the audience I have in mind is a rather broad user base that doesn't use the software too often and is not captive (i.e., not an in-house software or narrow community).   I'm NTLM (authenication="windows" in the web.config) with an asp.net mvc 2.0 site. Right now once a user logs in it keeps them logged in for weeks at a time. The use of the application is being opened up to users who share computers that use logged in service accounts. I need the site to reprompt each user for their AD credentials each time in order to handle these users. (Activity on the site must be linked to a uniquely identified user.)   I have web application and I do not really care about IE6 users. However I would like to have some kind of feautre that would informe users that they are using IE6 and that their browser is not supported. I was thinking about two possible solutions: pop-out window (probably Javascript) with text informing the user on every page he enters some special page with information, that user would be redirected to whenever he tries to access my application Both solutions will be sufficient, however I would prefer the second one. Probably some magic javascript needs to be involved, can anyone could please provide a solution to this?

• Access Git Repository using Eclipse and Netbeans Plugins with LDAP Users

  Hello everyone! I've configure a git server. I need to use ssh because I've defined permissions using users of my domain, using LDAP. Only users with permissions could read a project. So, the links to access my repositories are like that: ssh://[email protected]@hostname/var/git/repo.git When I clone, commit or push a project using linux git commands or using tortoisegit on windows, there is no problem, everything works as expected. However, I've tried to clone a project using plugins from Eclipse (EGit) and Netbeans (NBGit), with no success. Seems that they can't recognize the host. I've accessed using a user from the server (not from the domain) and it cloned the project perfectly. Seems that the plugins assume that the host is everything after the first @. Do you know how I can solve this problem? There are any other Git plugins for those IDEs? Thanks for your answers. Best Regards, ukrania

  I am making a twiki website and I am stuck with a problem. The users have access to write the files. So, I want to include Report Abuse option so that in case of vandalism of someone the thing can be corrected as soon as possible. Also, I am facing one more problem that someone told me that while editing the code the person can change the read/write permissions for the other users. And obviously, that wouldn't be something that I am expecting from Twiki. C'mon there must be some way of moderation in twiki to ensure thatthere is no undesirable content.

The situation is that the Plone instance is already in a "production" state because there are outside users that can access it any moment. I believe setting up a LDAP and binding both, the Plone and subversion instance, to it for authentication is the best solution. • Access 2007 & 2003 : Creating an mde for 2003 users with a 2007 dev copy issues

  So i have an image on my computer that has office 2007, and I have the development copy of this database file where I corrected some code, added some fields, etc... I then converted the Access file (.mdb dev file) to Access 2002-2003 format to create an mde. So I then created the new mde, but when users try to open, it gives them the message that it is not the correct format and that they should upgrade to a newer version of access. So will i be able to get this done with having office 2007, and these other end users not having their new image pushed yet (so they still have office 2003)? I thought that if I converted the file to 2002-2003 then this should not be a problem Thanks Justin

• Windows 7 sharing data between users via the registry

  Where can I create/modify/delete registry keys to share data between users in the Windows 7 registry? Both of the users are non administrators and it shouldn't require admin privileges. The application I'm working on uses the registry to write a key from userA and then userB can read/modify/delete it. Neither user has admin privileges and it won't be possible to change this. Is there an official MSDN guide to how to use the registry in Windows 7? Any links describing proper use of the registry would be useful.
