  • DeleteSubKey UnauthorizedAccessException

    I'm trying to write a quick app to modify some registry keys. When I'm browsing via RegEdit, I can modify and delete the keys with no problems. But when I try to use RegistryKey.DeleteSubKey() it throws an UnauthorizedAccessException Is there anyway to gain the privileges to do this? Also, why would there be a problem if my user account obviously has access to make the changes?

I'm creating a folder to cache images inside Documents with my iPhone App. I want to be able to keep the size of this folder down to 1MB, so I need to to check the size in bytes of my folder. I have code to calculate the size of file, but I need the size of the folder. What would be the best way to do this? Will I need to loop through each file? Cheers

  • Twitter Search API is returning weird characters - is it more or is it them?

    We are building an app that accesses the Twitter search over JSONP. It mostly works fine, but occasionally the request returns a JSONP callback that exists of weird unparseable characters. Here is an example: http://search.twitter.com/search.json?result_type=recent&rpp=100&geocode=51.4375857,-0.1658648,1km&page=5&callback=jsonp1272532482854 (If you change page=5 to a value less than 5 in the URL it works fine) So Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone suggest a workaround?

Now i want to add that to a fbml facebook application, but i'm haven't been able to load the jquery javascript and the jquery Validation plugin into the app, does anybody now how to do that? or maybe someone could suggest me a better way of doing validation inside a facebook application.   • Can I enable/diable groups of breakpoints in C++ Builder?

    The title says it all. One specific instance, I want to set a BP on every switch(msg) handled in WndProc() - but not until my app has initialized and is 'stable'. Of course, it receives a lot of windows messages when it starts up. I can't see a way to toggle a group of breakpoints, or to save them for later, use other BPs then restore the first set.

I simply want develop a c# app that, by example, monitors Firefox, IE, etc and logs all navigated pages. Depending of the visited page, I want to block the site (like a parental filter).     I wrote my Win32 App to test and debug. I've created a datamodule with all functionality needed to run the TCP sockets and IBDatabase components. After successfully testing the Datamodule in the Win32 application environment I am trying to hook the Datamodule into a Service Application template that I created, I can get nowhere in getting it to run. Could someone indicate whether this strategy of using a Datamodule with Component functionality encapsulating the primary service functions is workable and give a simple template example of how to hook it up if it is??

  • Source cannot be found - step through disassembly

    Hi, I have an ASP.NET web app. I reference an external .dll, made by another team member. When first stepping through my code (which calls this dll's class and method), I get an error (runtime of course) stating that the source cannot be found and if I want to step through disassembly. What causes this? Also, is it possible to add .pdb files to a project's references? Thanks

  • Is there some API on BlackBerry for "smooth" image resizing?

    To get image thumbnails on BlackBerry I use EncodedImage.scaleImage32(). It works Ok, but when I open native image viewer (from the Camera app) I see the difference in quality - native viewer thumbnails look nice (smooth, anti-aliased), while mine are a bit ugly. Looks like native viewer resizes images using some filter (bicubic or smth like that). How can I do the same? Is there some API for "smooth" resizing?

    Hi, moved a rails app of mine onto a new server and had to install a few gem dependencies. However, after installing the mysql gem I get the error, uninitialized constant MysqlCompat::MysqlRes, whenever I try to run a rake command that involves the mysql database. It seems I only get this error when I require the mms2r gem. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm running mysql 2.8.1 gem.
