  • Google analytics - vistor path to specific site destination setup and monitoring?

    I have a website which I am using google analytics to track visitors and track our banner campaigns. We're are promoting 'Purchase Ticket' buttons on our website which push visitors to a third party website who sell and distribute our tickets. The url on all the 'Purchase Ticket' buttons are the same through out the site... Example: http://ticketmaestro.com/events/my-event-2012 In the analytic control panel, is it possible so set something up, where I create a path-to-destination using the above example url? ...and then after this is setup: I want to be able to monitor the path visitors are taking from when they reach the site - to when they click the 'Purchase Ticket' button.   • Create an Even Shadow On an Element [migrated]

    When a box-shadow is applied to an element the corners are less "thick" than the middle because they don't have shadow on both sides. This creates an odd effect on full width elements. http://jsfiddle.net/kevincox/6FhYe/18/ If you look at that example you will see that the edges are lighter. If the "banner" is at the top of a page you can spread it and shift it up but that doesn't work for the middle of the page as you can see the top. I was wondering if anyone had a solution with no images and preferably cross-browser but I can deal with vendor prefixes for a bit. Is there something like a separate horizontal and vertical stretch?

  • Gnome 3.10 doesn't show login, Ubuntu 13.10

    I use gnome as default desktop. And I recently upgrade Ubuntu to 13.10 then upgraded gnome to 3.10. Upon restarting, it brings me to the gnome log in screen (GDM) and all I see is the top banner part so like your date, music volume, option to restart, suspend or shutdown. Hitting control+alt+delete tells me gnome display manager will log out - it does but still nothing. I am on the log in screen, but there is no user to select, like there normally is or was. I can boot into safe mode and drop down to shell but I am not sure what commands I would enter to get the login screen back. I am using the gnome PPA's and the "unstable" PPA, so I expected issues, but not this - ideas?

  • Joomla, passing a querystring parameter to a link in an article

    We have some banner ads linking to an article in Joomla and they are passing a reference code in the URL, like this: index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=378&Itemid=249&ReferenceCode=WB6074 Inside the article, we're linking to a signup form on another web site and we need to pass the reference code in that URL's querystring. How do I do this? Is there a way to embed PHP in an article? If so, then I could just use $_GET["ReferenceCode"] to stick that parameter in the URL.

  • Index page in Magento is way too slow, what can I do?

    Weirdly, the index page of my magento commerce is very slow, while when you navigate the products, brands, searchs etc is very fast, but everytime you click on the banner to go for home or enter the website, it take ages to load I wonder what can I do about this? I don't know where to start, since I am new at magento. I thought I could go on and read the code, but that would take ages too, since magento is very big. Maybe I can analyze it somehow? You can see the banner going to far left and the navigation links have a huge gap in between. How to set this? In my tinyMCE.init({ ... }); I am using verify_html: true and valid_elements is set as per this forum topic whereby all valid XHTML 1.0 Strict elements are allowed. I have checked and the above code does comply with the XHTML 1.0 Strict standard. I have tried just setting verify_html to false but it had no effect. How can TinyMCE be configured to leave my HTML alone?!

    I am having some problems parsing this piece of XML using SimpleXML. There is always only one Series element, and a variable number of Episode elements beneath. I want to parse XML so I can store the Series data in one table, and all the Episode data in another table.   • HTML wrapper div over embedded flash object cannot be "clickable" by jQuery

    Hi all: I've been trying to do as the client requested : redirect to campaign page then to destination page once a customer clicks on the top banner in swf format. You can check what's been done at :http://ausdcf.org If you are using Firefox, Chrome or Safari, I suspect you can reach the destination page. However, if you are using IE or Opera, I doubt it.     I'm using JQUERY animate to show a banner at the top of the page, which is a DIV that is set to top -60 to hide it. I'm using the following JS call to show the div: // Animation $('#message-dock').animate({ top: 0 }, 500, function() { // Animation complete. }); What I can't figure out is for some reason there is an unwanted delay before I start seeing the div and I can't figure out why?     I am writing a port scanner in Java and I want to be able to distinct the following 4 use cases: port is open port is open and server banner was read port is closed server is not live I have the following code: InetAddress address = InetAddress.getByName("google.com"); int[] ports = new int[]{21, 22, 23, 80, 443}; for (int i = 0; i < ports.length; i++) { int port = ports[i]; Socket socket = null; try { socket = new Socket(address, port); socket.setSoTimeout(500); System.out.println("port " + port + " open"); BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader( new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream())); String line = reader.readLine(); if (line != null) { System.out.println(line); } socket.close(); } catch (SocketTimeoutException ex) { // port was open but nothing was read from input stream ex.printStackTrace(); } catch (ConnectException ex) { // port is closed ex.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } finally { if (socket != null && !socket.isClosed()) { try { socket.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } } The problem is that I get a ConnectionException both when the port is closed and the server cannot be reached but with a different exception message: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect when the connection was never established and java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect when the port was closed so I cannot make the distinction between the two use cases without digging into the actual exception message. Same thing happens when I try a different approach for the socket creation. If I use: socket = new Socket(); socket.setSoTimeout(500); socket.connect(new InetSocketAddress(address, port), 1000); I have the same problem but with the SocketTimeoutException instead. I get a java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out if port was open but there was no banner to be read and java.net.SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out if server is not live or port is closed. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • jQuery Light Box not loading in all system?

    I am using jQuery's thickbox.js pluging, for a modal dialog box that will appear when some one first loads the website(as a welcome banner), and after clicking on "enter site" they should be logged in to my home page. But the problem is "Modal dialog box appear's to be empty in some system(i.e OS), with same configuration, and shows only the loading progress bar". it works in some system only.. please help to find the problem??
