  • Why does Red5 puke over h.264 mpeg files?

    - by KarateCowboy
I have a new installation of Red5 on Ubuntu linux. We are using JW Player for clientside. We can pause and skip ahead when streaming FLV files. However when using mp4 files if you pause and then press play again it starts playback at the beginning. If I try to skip ahead it just plays from the beginning.

  • Moving files within an ext4 filesystem?

    - by HT74
I'd like to decrease the access-time for some files by moving them to the beginning of the fs. Task 1: Clear a certain block range at the beginning of the fs (moving existing files to free space elsewhere). Task 2: Move the files in question to that block range (should be able to grow a bit). How would I do that?

The Python docs say: re.MULTILINE: When specified, the pattern character '^' matches at the beginning of the string and at the beginning of each line (immediately following each newline)... By default, '^' matches only at the beginning of the string... So what's going on when I get the following unexpected result? >>> import

  • Pressing "Home" in Vim on an Indented Line

    - by Reid
I have a bad habit of using the 'home' key to go back to the beginning of a line. As I recently started using vim (and loving it!) I noticed that when I press the home key on a lined that is indented, it returns me to the very beginning of the line. In Notepad++ (the editor I used to use) it would return me to the beginning of the code on

  • Assign multiple Emacs keybindings to a single command?

    - by Dan
I'm giving ErgoEmacs mode a try to see if I can use Emacs more comfortably. Some of its keybindings are fairly intuitive, but in many cases I don't want to outright replace the defaults. For example, in the context of ErgoEmacs' navigation shortcut structure, M-h makes sense as a replacement for C-a--but I want to be able to use both,

    - by Venemo
Hello Everyone, When I first started working with Qt, it was extremely annoying that every class has a name beginning with 'Q', but now I've got used to it. I'm using Qt Creator, and it highlights code quite well. However, it only highlights class names beginning with 'Q'. And it highlights everything beginning with 'Q' even if
