  • SQL Joining on a one-to-many relationship

    - by Harley
    Ok, here was my original question; Table one contains ID|Name 1 Mary 2 John Table two contains ID|Color 1 Red 1 Blue 2 Blue 2 Green 2 Black I want to end up with is ID|Name|Red|Blue|Green|Black 1 Mary Y Y 2 John Y Y Y It seems that because there are 11 unique values for color and 1000's upon 1000's of records in table one that there is no 'good' way to do this. So, two other questions. Is there an efficient way to query to get this result? I can then create a crosstab in my application to get the desired result. ID|Name|Color 1 Mary Red 1 Mary Blue 2 John Blue 2 John Green 2 John Black If I wanted to limit the number of records returned how could I do a query to do something like this? Where ((color='blue') AND (color<>'red' OR color<>'green')) So using the above example I would then get back ID|Name|Color 1 Mary Blue 2 John Blue 2 John Black I connect to Visual FoxPro tables via ADODB to use SQL. Thanks!

  • I need some help cropping an image in PHP (GD)

    - by evan
    http://i.imgur.com/foT9u.jpg Using that image as an example, here's what I need to do: Crop the blue square to have the same proportional ratio as that of the black square From doing that, I should then be able to resize the blue square to fit into the black square without losing stretching it - It'll retain its proportions. Note: The blue square must be cropped 'from the center'. The original center should remain the center after the crop (it can't be cropped from the top left, for example). Here's what I'm thinking needs to be done (using the, landscape, blue square as the example): Figure out the difference between the black squares width and height Figure out the difference between the blue squares width and height This should tell me how much to crop the blue square by and with how much of a 'top offset' Once it's cropped to fit the black squares proportions, it can then be resized I've been messing around with code similar to: if (BLACK_WIDTH > BLACK_HEIGHT) { $diffHeight = BLACK_WIDTH - BLACK_HEIGHT; $newHeight = $blue_Height - $blue_Height; echo $newHeight; } And using Photoshop to try and get a feel for how this should be done, but it continues to fail .< How should I go about doing this? How can I figure out how much to crop by (depending on if the blue square is landscape or portrait)? How do I then get the offset to retain the blue squares center?

  • Regular expression test can't decide between true and false (JavaScript)

    - by nw
    I get this behavior in both Chrome (Developer Tools) and Firefox (Firebug). Note the regex test returns alternating true/false values: > var re = /.*?\bbl.*\bgr.*/gi; undefined > re /.*?\\bbl.*\\bgr.*/gi > re.test("Blue-Green"); true > re.test("Blue-Green"); false > re.test("Blue-Green"); true > re.test("Blue-Green"); false However, testing the same regex as a literal: > /.*?\bbl.*\bgr.*/gi.test("Blue-Green"); true > /.*?\bbl.*\bgr.*/gi.test("Blue-Green"); true > /.*?\bbl.*\bgr.*/gi.test("Blue-Green"); true > /.*?\bbl.*\bgr.*/gi.test("Blue-Green"); true I can't explain this and it's making debugging very difficult. Can anyone explain this behavior?

  • How to Identify Which Hardware Component is Failing in Your Computer

    - by Chris Hoffman
    Concluding that your computer has a hardware problem is just the first step. If you’re dealing with a hardware issue and not a software issue, the next step is determining what hardware problem you’re actually dealing with. If you purchased a laptop or pre-built desktop PC and it’s still under warranty, you don’t need to care about this. Have the manufacturer fix the PC for you — figuring it out is their problem. If you’ve built your own PC or you want to fix a computer that’s out of warranty, this is something you’ll need to do on your own. Blue Screen 101: Search for the Error Message This may seem like obvious advice, but searching for information about a blue screen’s error message can help immensely. Most blue screens of death you’ll encounter on modern versions of Windows will likely be caused by hardware failures. The blue screen of death often displays information about the driver that crashed or the type of error it encountered. For example, let’s say you encounter a blue screen that identified “NV4_disp.dll” as the driver that caused the blue screen. A quick Google search will reveal that this is the driver for NVIDIA graphics cards, so you now have somewhere to start. It’s possible that your graphics card is failing if you encounter such an error message. Check Hard Drive SMART Status Hard drives have a built in S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) feature. The idea is that the hard drive monitors itself and will notice if it starts to fail, providing you with some advance notice before the drive fails completely. This isn’t perfect, so your hard drive may fail even if SMART says everything is okay. If you see any sort of “SMART error” message, your hard drive is failing. You can use SMART analysis tools to view the SMART health status information your hard drives are reporting. Test Your RAM RAM failure can result in a variety of problems. If the computer writes data to RAM and the RAM returns different data because it’s malfunctioning, you may see application crashes, blue screens, and file system corruption. To test your memory and see if it’s working properly, use Windows’ built-in Memory Diagnostic tool. The Memory Diagnostic tool will write data to every sector of your RAM and read it back afterwards, ensuring that all your RAM is working properly. Check Heat Levels How hot is is inside your computer? Overheating can rsult in blue screens, crashes, and abrupt shut downs. Your computer may be overheating because you’re in a very hot location, it’s ventilated poorly, a fan has stopped inside your computer, or it’s full of dust. Your computer monitors its own internal temperatures and you can access this information. It’s generally available in your computer’s BIOS, but you can also view it with system information utilities such as SpeedFan or Speccy. Check your computer’s recommended temperature level and ensure it’s within the appropriate range. If your computer is overheating, you may see problems only when you’re doing something demanding, such as playing a game that stresses your CPU and graphics card. Be sure to keep an eye on how hot your computer gets when it performs these demanding tasks, not only when it’s idle. Stress Test Your CPU You can use a utility like Prime95 to stress test your CPU. Such a utility will fore your computer’s CPU to perform calculations without allowing it to rest, working it hard and generating heat. If your CPU is becoming too hot, you’ll start to see errors or system crashes. Overclockers use Prime95 to stress test their overclock settings — if Prime95 experiences errors, they throttle back on their overclocks to ensure the CPU runs cooler and more stable. It’s a good way to check if your CPU is stable under load. Stress Test Your Graphics Card Your graphics card can also be stress tested. For example, if your graphics driver crashes while playing games, the games themselves crash, or you see odd graphical corruption, you can run a graphics benchmark utility like 3DMark. The benchmark will stress your graphics card and, if it’s overheating or failing under load, you’ll see graphical problems, crashes, or blue screens while running the benchmark. If the benchmark seems to work fine but you have issues playing a certain game, it may just be a problem with that game. Swap it Out Not every hardware problem is easy to diagnose. If you have a bad motherboard or power supply, their problems may only manifest through occasional odd issues with other components. It’s hard to tell if these components are causing problems unless you replace them completely. Ultimately, the best way to determine whether a component is faulty is to swap it out. For example, if you think your graphics card may be causing your computer to blue screen, pull the graphics card out of your computer and swap in a new graphics card. If everything is working well, it’s likely that your previous graphics card was bad. This isn’t easy for people who don’t have boxes of components sitting around, but it’s the ideal way to troubleshoot. Troubleshooting is all about trial and error, and swapping components out allows you to pin down which component is actually causing the problem through a process of elimination. This isn’t a complete guide to everything that could likely go wrong and how to identify it — someone could write a full textbook on identifying failing components and still not cover everything. But the tips above should give you some places to start dealing with the more common problems. Image Credit: Justin Marty on Flickr

  • How-To define an Alias-Name for a given Fileserver?

    - by Ice
    Hi, I'm building a testsystem and want to use the servernames like in the productive environment. For tcp-traffic i made an entry in the hosts-file but that seems not to work for fileservers (smb). How may i define an Alias-Name like (\Filer) for my fileserver with IP:192.168.1.2 and Name \testshare in our test-domain? Peace Ice

    I trying to compare lists in excel. There are two lists, one list just has one column and the other has two columns, and what I am trying to do is when column A matches column C than take the value in column D and use that to replace column A. For example: Column A Column B Column C Column D Blue Blue Shirt Blue Red Pants Red Green Shoes Red Green Green Purple So the completed list should look like: Column A Column B Column C Column D Shirt Blue Shirt Shirt Red Pants Pants Green Shoes Pants Shoes Shoes Purple

  • ffmpeg-php $frame->gdimage(); Images are created with a green/blue tint

    - by dropson
    I'm trying to create stillimages with PHP-FFMPEG; but suddenly after installing FFMPEG and FFMPEG-PHP from scratch on a brand new server, all images are created with a green and blueish tint. <?PHP $flvmov = new ffmpeg_movie("test.mp4"); $flvframe = $flvmov->getFrame(50); $flvgd = $flvframe->toGDImage(); imagepng($flvgd, "test.png", 0); imagedestroy($flvgd); ?> I've tried imagejpeg, and other video inputs without luck. Previously this worked perfectly. But now I'm stuck, and I've tried all revs between FFMPEG-PHP-0.5.1 - 0.6.1. Anyone that could think of what this could be?

  • Events in Classes (VB.NET)

    - by Otaku
    I find that I write a lot of code within my classes to keep properties in sync with each other. I've read about Events in Classes, but have not been able to wrap my head around how to make them work for what I'm looking for. I could use some advice here. For example, in this one I always want to keep myColor up to date with any change whatsoever in any or all of the Red, Green or Blue properties. Class myColors Private Property Red As Byte Private Property Green As Byte Private Property Blue As Byte Private Property myColor As Color Sub New() myColor = Color.FromArgb(0, 0, 0) End Sub Sub ChangeRed(ByVal r As Byte) Red = r myColor = Color.FromArgb(Red, Green, Blue) End Sub Sub ChangeBlue(ByVal b As Byte) Blue = b myColor = Color.FromArgb(Red, Green, Blue) End Sub End Class If one or more of those changes, I want myColor to be updated. Easy enough as above, but is there a way to work with events that would automatically do this so I don't have to put myColor = Color.FromArgb(Red, Green, Blue) in every sub routine?

  • Got blue screen with a warning that I boot loader may not be properly configured, workaround?

    - by JohnHF
    After running sudo apt-get update got this message: Configuring grub-pc You chose not to install GRUB to any devices. If you continue, the boot loader may not be properly configured, and when your computer next starts up it will use whatever was previously in the boot sector. If there is an earlier version of GRUB 2 in the boot sector, it may be unable to load modules or handle the current configuration file. If you are already running a different boot loader and want to carry on doing so, or if this is a special environment where you do not need a boot loader, then you should continue anyway. Otherwise, you should install GRUB somewhere. Continue without installing GRUB? <Yes> <No> Apparently there is a bug in ubuntu 10.04. But this hang the system. Any ideas on how to fix this? All I wanted was to install gcc that is missing.

  • Creating array from two arrays

    - by binoculars
    I'm having troubles trying to create a certain array. Basicly, I have an array like this: [0] => Array ( [id] => 12341241 [type] => "Blue" ) [1] => Array ( [id] => 52454235 [type] => "Blue" ) [2] => Array ( [id] => 848437437 [type] => "Blue" ) [3] => Array ( [id] => 387372723 [type] => "Blue" ) [4] => Array ( [id] => 73732623 [type] => "Blue" ) ... Next, I have an array like this: [0] => Array ( [id] => 34141 [type] => "Red" ) [1] => Array ( [id] => 253532 [type] => "Red" ) [2] => Array ( [id] => 94274 [type] => "Red" ) I want to construct an array, which is a combination of the two above, using this rule: after 3 Blues, there must be a Red: Blue1 Blue2 Blue3 Red1 Blue4 Blue5 Blue6 Red2 Blue7 Blue8 Blue9 Red3 Note that the their can be more Red's than Blue's, but also more Blue's than Red's. If the Red's run out, it should begin with the first one again. Example: let's say there are only two Red's: Blue1 Blue2 Blue3 Red1 Blue4 Blue5 Blue6 Red2 Blue7 Blue8 Blue9 Red1 ... ... If the Blue's run out, the Red's should append until they run out too. Example: let's say there are 5 Blue's, and 5 Red's: Blue1 Blue2 Blue3 Red1 Blue4 Blue5 Red2 Red3 Red4 Red5 Note: the arrays come from mysql-fetches. Maybe it's better to fetch them while building the new array? Anyway, the while-loops got to me, I can't figure it out... Any help is much appreciated!

  • Big Data – Buzz Words: Importance of Relational Database in Big Data World – Day 9 of 21

    - by Pinal Dave
    In yesterday’s blog post we learned what is HDFS. In this article we will take a quick look at the importance of the Relational Database in Big Data world. A Big Question? Here are a few questions I often received since the beginning of the Big Data Series - Does the relational database have no space in the story of the Big Data? Does relational database is no longer relevant as Big Data is evolving? Is relational database not capable to handle Big Data? Is it true that one no longer has to learn about relational data if Big Data is the final destination? Well, every single time when I hear that one person wants to learn about Big Data and is no longer interested in learning about relational database, I find it as a bit far stretched. I am not here to give ambiguous answers of It Depends. I am personally very clear that one who is aspiring to become Big Data Scientist or Big Data Expert they should learn about relational database. NoSQL Movement The reason for the NoSQL Movement in recent time was because of the two important advantages of the NoSQL databases. Performance Flexible Schema In personal experience I have found that when I use NoSQL I have found both of the above listed advantages when I use NoSQL database. There are instances when I found relational database too much restrictive when my data is unstructured as well as they have in the datatype which my Relational Database does not support. It is the same case when I have found that NoSQL solution performing much better than relational databases. I must say that I am a big fan of NoSQL solutions in the recent times but I have also seen occasions and situations where relational database is still perfect fit even though the database is growing increasingly as well have all the symptoms of the big data. Situations in Relational Database Outperforms Adhoc reporting is the one of the most common scenarios where NoSQL is does not have optimal solution. For example reporting queries often needs to aggregate based on the columns which are not indexed as well are built while the report is running, in this kind of scenario NoSQL databases (document database stores, distributed key value stores) database often does not perform well. In the case of the ad-hoc reporting I have often found it is much easier to work with relational databases. SQL is the most popular computer language of all the time. I have been using it for almost over 10 years and I feel that I will be using it for a long time in future. There are plenty of the tools, connectors and awareness of the SQL language in the industry. Pretty much every programming language has a written drivers for the SQL language and most of the developers have learned this language during their school/college time. In many cases, writing query based on SQL is much easier than writing queries in NoSQL supported languages. I believe this is the current situation but in the future this situation can reverse when No SQL query languages are equally popular. ACID (Atomicity Consistency Isolation Durability) – Not all the NoSQL solutions offers ACID compliant language. There are always situations (for example banking transactions, eCommerce shopping carts etc.) where if there is no ACID the operations can be invalid as well database integrity can be at risk. Even though the data volume indeed qualify as a Big Data there are always operations in the application which absolutely needs ACID compliance matured language. The Mixed Bag I have often heard argument that all the big social media sites now a days have moved away from Relational Database. Actually this is not entirely true. While researching about Big Data and Relational Database, I have found that many of the popular social media sites uses Big Data solutions along with Relational Database. Many are using relational databases to deliver the results to end user on the run time and many still uses a relational database as their major backbone. Here are a few examples: Facebook uses MySQL to display the timeline. (Reference Link) Twitter uses MySQL. (Reference Link) Tumblr uses Sharded MySQL (Reference Link) Wikipedia uses MySQL for data storage. (Reference Link) There are many for prominent organizations which are running large scale applications uses relational database along with various Big Data frameworks to satisfy their various business needs. Summary I believe that RDBMS is like a vanilla ice cream. Everybody loves it and everybody has it. NoSQL and other solutions are like chocolate ice cream or custom ice cream – there is a huge base which loves them and wants them but not every ice cream maker can make it just right  for everyone’s taste. No matter how fancy an ice cream store is there is always plain vanilla ice cream available there. Just like the same, there are always cases and situations in the Big Data’s story where traditional relational database is the part of the whole story. In the real world scenarios there will be always the case when there will be need of the relational database concepts and its ideology. It is extremely important to accept relational database as one of the key components of the Big Data instead of treating it as a substandard technology. Ray of Hope – NewSQL In this module we discussed that there are places where we need ACID compliance from our Big Data application and NoSQL will not support that out of box. There is a new termed coined for the application/tool which supports most of the properties of the traditional RDBMS and supports Big Data infrastructure – NewSQL. Tomorrow In tomorrow’s blog post we will discuss about NewSQL. • iPhone Image Processing--matrix convolution

    - by James
    I am implementing a matrix convolution blur on the iPhone. The following code converts the UIImage supplied as an argument of the blur function into a CGImageRef, and then stores the RGBA values in a standard C char array. CGImageRef imageRef = imgRef.CGImage; int width = imgRef.size.width; int height = imgRef.size.height; CGColorSpaceRef colorSpace = CGColorSpaceCreateDeviceRGB(); unsigned char *pixels = malloc((height) * (width) * 4); NSUInteger bytesPerPixel = 4; NSUInteger bytesPerRow = bytesPerPixel * (width); NSUInteger bitsPerComponent = 8; CGContextRef context = CGBitmapContextCreate(pixels, width, height, bitsPerComponent, bytesPerRow, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast | kCGBitmapByteOrder32Big); CGContextDrawImage(context, CGRectMake(0, 0, width, height), imageRef); CGContextRelease(context); Then the pixels values stored in the pixels array are convolved, and stored in another array. unsigned char *results = malloc((height) * (width) * 4); Finally, these augmented pixel values are changed back into a CGImageRef, converted to a UIImage, and the returned at the end of the function with the following code. context = CGBitmapContextCreate(results, width, height, bitsPerComponent, bytesPerRow, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast | kCGBitmapByteOrder32Big); CGImageRef finalImage = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context); UIImage *newImage = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context)]; CGImageRelease(finalImage); NSLog(@"edges found"); free(results); free(pixels); CGColorSpaceRelease(colorSpace); return newImage; This works perfectly, once. Then, once the image is put through the filter again, very odd, unprecedented pixel values representing input pixel values that don't exist, are returned. Is there any reason why this should work the first time, but then not afterward? Beneath is the entirety of the function. -(UIImage*) blur:(UIImage*)imgRef { CGImageRef imageRef = imgRef.CGImage; int width = imgRef.size.width; int height = imgRef.size.height; CGColorSpaceRef colorSpace = CGColorSpaceCreateDeviceRGB(); unsigned char *pixels = malloc((height) * (width) * 4); NSUInteger bytesPerPixel = 4; NSUInteger bytesPerRow = bytesPerPixel * (width); NSUInteger bitsPerComponent = 8; CGContextRef context = CGBitmapContextCreate(pixels, width, height, bitsPerComponent, bytesPerRow, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast | kCGBitmapByteOrder32Big); CGContextDrawImage(context, CGRectMake(0, 0, width, height), imageRef); CGContextRelease(context); height = imgRef.size.height; width = imgRef.size.width; float matrix[] = {0,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,0}; float divisor = 1; float shift = 0; unsigned char *results = malloc((height) * (width) * 4); for(int y = 1; y < height; y++){ for(int x = 1; x < width; x++){ float red = 0; float green = 0; float blue = 0; int multiplier=1; if(y>0 && x>0){ int index = (y-1)*width + x; red = matrix[0]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)] + matrix[1]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)] + matrix[2]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)]; green = matrix[0]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)+1] + matrix[1]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)+1] + matrix[2]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)+1]; blue = matrix[0]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)+2] + matrix[1]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)+2] + matrix[2]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)+2]; index = (y)*width + x; red = red+ matrix[3]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)] + matrix[4]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)] + matrix[5]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)]; green = green + matrix[3]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)+1] + matrix[4]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)+1] + matrix[5]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)+1]; blue = blue + matrix[3]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)+2] + matrix[4]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)+2] + matrix[5]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)+2]; index = (y+1)*width + x; red = red+ matrix[6]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)] + matrix[7]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)] + matrix[8]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)]; green = green + matrix[6]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)+1] + matrix[7]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)+1] + matrix[8]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)+1]; blue = blue + matrix[6]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index-1)+2] + matrix[7]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index)+2] + matrix[8]*multiplier*(float)pixels[4*(index+1)+2]; red = red/divisor+shift; green = green/divisor+shift; blue = blue/divisor+shift; if(red<0){ red=0; } if(green<0){ green=0; } if(blue<0){ blue=0; } if(red>255){ red=255; } if(green>255){ green=255; } if(blue>255){ blue=255; } int realPos = 4*(y*imgRef.size.width + x); results[realPos] = red; results[realPos + 1] = green; results[realPos + 2] = blue; results[realPos + 3] = 1; }else { int realPos = 4*((y)*(imgRef.size.width) + (x)); results[realPos] = 0; results[realPos + 1] = 0; results[realPos + 2] = 0; results[realPos + 3] = 1; } } } context = CGBitmapContextCreate(results, width, height, bitsPerComponent, bytesPerRow, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast | kCGBitmapByteOrder32Big); CGImageRef finalImage = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context); UIImage *newImage = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context)]; CGImageRelease(finalImage); free(results); free(pixels); CGColorSpaceRelease(colorSpace); return newImage;} THANKS!!!

  • Image 1 becomes image 2 with sliding effect from left to right?

    - by Paul
    I would like to show a second image appearing while a "door" is closing on my character. I've got my character in the middle of the screen and a door coming from the left. When the door passes my character, I would like to have this second image appearing little by little. So far, I've gotten by with fadingOut the character and then fadingIn my second image of the character at the same position when the door is completely closed, but I would like to have both of them at the same time. (the effect that image 1 becomes image 2 when the door is sliding from left to right). Would you know how to do this with Cocos2d? Here are the images : at first, the character is blue, and the door is coming from the left : Then, behind the black door, the character becomes red, but only behind this door, so it stays blue when the door is not on him, and will become completely red when the door passes the character : EDIT : with this code, the black door hides the red and blue rectangles : (And if i add each of my layers at a different depth, and only use GL_LESS, same thing) blue.position = ccp( size.width*0.5 , size.height/2 ); red.position = ccp( size.width*0.46 , size.height/2 ); black.position = ccp( size.width*0.1 , size.height/2 ); glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); [batch addChild:red z:0]; [batch addChild:black z:2]; glDepthFunc(GL_GREATER); [batch addChild:blue z:1]; glDepthFunc(GL_LESS); id action1 = [CCMoveTo actionWithDuration:3 position:ccp(size.width,size.height/2)]; [black runAction: [CCSequence actions:action1, nil]];

  • What's the best way to compare blocks in a matching game that can be multiple colors?

    - by Ryan Detzel
    I have a match 3-4 game and the blocks can be one of 7 colors. There are an addition 7 blocks that are a mix of the original 7 colors so for example there is a red and blue block and there is also a red/blue block which can be matched with either the red or the blue. My original thought is just to use binary operations so. int red = 0x000000001; int blue = 0x000000010; int redblue = 0x000000011; Then just do an & operation so see if they match. Does this sound like a decent plan or am I over complicating it? edit: Better yet so it's more readable. int red = 1; int blue = 2; int red_blue = 3; int yellow = 4; int red_yellow = 5; maybe as defines or static vars?

  • IIS 6 nested virtual directory redirection

    - by threedaysatsea
    We're running IIS 6 on a WinServer2k3 box and we're having some trouble with the following problem: E-mails were sent out to users asking them to go to the following URL: alias.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue However, the URLS are actually supposed to be: server.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue It's too late to recall all of the e-mails, and we'd like to redirect traffic to make this as seamless as possible for our users. The real problem here is that the server (server.contoso.com) is hosting the alias (alias.contoso.com) as a redirect thusly, and the existing redirect we need to keep functional: Default Web Site (server.contoso.com) --Directory1 --Directory2 --Directory3 Redirection to Directory3 (alias.contoso.com) --Essentially alias.contoso.com will take the user to server.contoso.com/Directory3 Is there any way to host a separate redirect inside of the existing redirect? We need to keep alias.contoso.com taking the user to server.contoso.com/Directory3 but also make alias.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue point to server.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue Any tips? Is this even possible?

  • Nearest color algorithm using Hex Triplet

    - by Lijo
    Following page list colors with names http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors. For example #5D8AA8 Hex Triplet is "Air Force Blue". This information will be stored in a databse table (tbl_Color (HexTriplet,ColorName)) in my system Suppose I created a color with #5D8AA7 Hex Triplet. I need to get the nearest color available in the tbl_Color table. The expected anaser is "#5D8AA8 - Air Force Blue". This is because #5D8AA8 is the nearest color for #5D8AA7. Do we have any algorithm for finding the nearest color? How to write it using C# / Java? REFERENCE http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5440051/algorithm-for-parsing-hex-into-color-family http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6130621/algorithm-for-finding-the-color-between-two-others-in-the-colorspace-of-painte Suggested Formula: Suggested by @user281377. Choose the color where the sum of those squared differences is minimal (Square(Red(source)-Red(target))) + (Square(Green(source)-Green(target))) +(Square(Blue(source)-Blue(target)))

  • Filling up the empty blocks when the player touches the safe zone again! using cocos2d

    - by user3445020
    Hi guys i am stuck with filling up the data of all the blocks which are empty like the ones in the image. As you can see there i have a pacman like object where i will be moving around. But when you are in the empty space where there are no Blue boxes available i should be able to add new blocks in the path of my pacman and when it touches any other blue boxes like in the below case if my pacman touches the top row of the blue box i should be able to fill all the empty boxed inside the border of the path created by pacman. For now i am using a 2d bool array to store all the filled boxed info like if there is a box inside i am making that cell in an array as true. But how to fill the area with blue boxes after player finishes his path ? Any help would be great thank you. More info about this problem is here: filling the empty spaces in a certain region in a grid using c++ Same problem

  • Greyscale Image from YUV420p data

    - by fergs
    From what I have read on the internet the Y value is the luminance value and can be used to create a grey scale image. The following link: http://www.bobpowell.net/grayscale.htm, has some C# code on working out the luminance of a bitmap image : { Bitmap bm = new Bitmap(source.Width,source.Height); for(int y=0;y<bm.Height;y++) public Bitmap ConvertToGrayscale(Bitmap source) { for(int x=0;x<bm.Width;x++) { Color c=source.GetPixel(x,y); int luma = (int)(c.R*0.3 + c.G*0.59+ c.B*0.11); bm.SetPixel(x,y,Color.FromArgb(luma,luma,luma)); } } return bm; } I have a method that returns the YUV values and have the Y data in a byte array. I have the current piece of code and it is failing on Marshal.Copy – attempted to read or write protected memory. public Bitmap ConvertToGrayscale2(byte[] yuvData, int width, int height) { Bitmap bmp; IntPtr blue = IntPtr.Zero; int inputOffSet = 0; long[] pixels = new long[width * height]; try { for (int y = 0; y < height; y++) { int outputOffSet = y * width; for (int x = 0; x < width; x++) { int grey = yuvData[inputOffSet + x] & 0xff; unchecked { pixels[outputOffSet + x] = UINT_Constant | (grey * INT_Constant); } } inputOffSet += width; } blue = Marshal.AllocCoTaskMem(pixels.Length); Marshal.Copy(pixels, 0, blue, pixels.Length); // fails here : Attempted to read or write protected memory bmp = new Bitmap(width, height, width, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb, blue); } catch (Exception) { throw; } finally { if (blue != IntPtr.Zero) { Marshal.FreeHGlobal(blue); blue = IntPtr.Zero; } } return bmp; } Any help would be appreciated?

    - by tony noriega
    I was wondering if toggle() and fadeIn() could be used in one function... i got this to work, but it only fades in after the second click... not on first click of the toggle. $(document).ready(function() { $('#business-blue').hide(); $('a#biz-blue').click(function() { $('#business-blue').toggle().fadeIn('slow'); return false; }); // hides the slickbox on clicking the noted link $('a#biz-blue-hide').click(function() { $('#business-blue').hide('fast'); return false; }); }); <a href="#" id="biz-blue">Learn More</a> <div id="business-blue" style="border:1px soild #00ff00; background:#c6c1b8; height:600px; width:600px; margin:0 auto; position:relative;"> <p>stuff here</p> </div>
