    I need an up-to-date jQuery color animation plugin that works in IE 8. I tried using the one at http://plugins.jquery.com/project/color but it causes errors like "Invalid property value." in the following line of code from color.js: fx.elem.style[attr] = "rgb(" + [ Math.max(Math.min( parseInt((fx.pos * (fx.end[0] - fx.start[0])) + fx.start[0]), 255), 0), Math.max(Math.min( parseInt((fx.pos * (fx.end[1] - fx.start[1])) + fx.start[1]), 255), 0), Math.max(Math.min( parseInt((fx.pos * (fx.end[2] - fx.start[2])) + fx.start[2]), 255), 0) ].join(",") + ")"; Where can I get something that works?   • Insert into a generic dictionary with possibility of duplicate keys?

    Is there any reason to favor one of these approaches over the other when inserting into a generic dictionary with the possibility of a key conflict? I'm building an in-memory version of a static collection so in the case of a conflict it doesn't matter whether the old or new value is used. If Not mySettings.ContainsKey(key) Then mySettings.Add(key, Value) End If Versus mySettings(key) = Value And then of course there is this, which is obviously not the right approach: Try mySettings.Add(key, Value) Catch End Try Clearly the big difference here is that the first and second approaches actually do different things, but in my case it doesn't matter. It seems that the second approach is cleaner, but I'm curious if any of you .net gurus have any deeper insight. Thanks!

[If you want to open the page in a new window, just hold down shift when you click the link.] The answers to the question extend beyond the page margin instead of wrapping. I have spent the last half hour working with Chrome's Inspector and Firefox's DOM inspector - all to no avail. I just cannot figure out why it's doing this.

    I have the following HTML chunk: <span class='instruction_text'> Line 1<br> Line 2 </span> And the CSS declaration of instruction_text is: .instruction_text { margin-left: 70px; font-style: italic; color: #555; } The first line has a 70px margin as expected, but the next line starts with no indent. How can I make ALL of the lines indented?

My question is: what is the best way to display status notifications to the user? On Ubuntu, I notice that whenever I connect to a network or adjust the volume, a black box appears in the upper-right corner. Is there a way to do something like that with Python?

It seems to be a strange collection of arrays. Which index holds the match from the parenthesis? How can I be sure I'm getting the email address and only the email address?   • DotNetNuke - Module settings disapear on new user control.

    Hi, I have a DNN module which renders a user control (view.ascx) All is ok ( I am logged in ) and I get the DNN settings menu. however when I add another control and load it like so: string url = Globals.NavigateURL(PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID, "View_Details", "mid=" + ModuleId.ToString()); Response.Redirect(url); I lose the settings link when the new control loads. Any ideas? Is there a property somewhere to turn on settings for the loaded user control?

    I need an easy way to convert a List<int> to a string array. I have: var the_list = new List<int>(); the_list.Add(1); the_list.Add(2); the_list.Add(3); string[] the_array = new string[the_list.Count]; for(var i = 0 ; i < the_array.Count; ++i) the_array[i] = the_list[i].ToString(); ...which looks to be very ugly to me. Is there an easier way? Note: I'm looking for an easier way - not necessarily a faster way.

I want to access the headers value (on the second line above) - simple: $data->headers I want to access the headers value (on the fourteenth line after the stdClass:: stuff) - how? How can I possibly access the values within the stdClass::__set_state section? I tried var_export($data->parts); but all I get is NULL

  • Best way to validate a WinCE OS image (.bin) file?

    We have a Windows CE 6.0 based product that allows for firmware upgrades through a web interface. I want to perform a sanity check on the new firmware image to be sure that it is valid. How should I perform the validation? I see in the BIOSLOADER code, there is support code for decoding a BIN file. I suppose I could massage that to perform the validation. Is there a better way?   • How can I redirect all traffic from one domain to another with an .htaccess file?

    Say I have a subdomain xxx.yyy.com running Apache. The files are stored in /home/someone/public_html/xxx. What I want to do is redirect all requests to a domain name zzz.com which is using the same location for its files. (In other words, xxx.yyy.com and zzz.com are aliases for each other) I just want people accessing zzz.com, so if someone goes to xxx.yyy.com they should be redirected to zzz.com. Can this easily be done with a rewrite rule in an .htaccess file?

How can I get the IN to take the place of a comma?

  • SSRS Dynamic Returning Dataset Collection Field in Expression

    I wrote a custom assembly to take a parameter value from the report and return a field from the dataset collection. My assembly returns the correct fields!name.value, but it shows me the string representation of it. How can I get it to resolve as the actual fields!name.value to display the actual data in the dataset? If I enter fields!name.value in manually it works fine showing me the value. If I resolve it with my custom code it display "fields!name.value" to me in the cell.

  • Add code before initialization of units in Delphi

    Is there a place where I can add code that will be executed before unit initialization? The reason I want to do this is I need to change the DecimalSeparator, this has to be done before the initialization of some units. I have put it in the project source, before Application.Initialize but it is too late by then. As I see it the only choice I have is to put it in the initialization of the unit that needs the DecimalSeparator to be changed, is this the case? Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Interface Builder layout ViewController with its own nib

    I would like to be able to decide where a sub view is placed, when that view is controlled by its own view controller. This happens frequently on the iPad when you have a semi-complicated view that doesn't fill the entire screen. So, imagine that I want the sub view controller's nib to decide its own width, components, connections, etc, while the parent nib would decide where that view/nib would be placed. I'd really like to lay it out visually instead of programatically. How can I?
