  • iPod library song path access

    I studied a lot but did not find any good answer. My problem is i am calculating beats per minute of song.I used Bass api for that, now problem is i am able to get bpm of a file which i have in my resource folder but i have to get bpm of all songs of iPod library. I am getting path of song from MPMediaItemPropertyAssetURL property of MpMediaItem but when passing this one in api api is saying stream cant load BASS_StreamCreateFile(). In my point of view i am not getting right path of song. How can we access valid path? Did any one access ipod library song with external api? Please help me .     I have one PC running iTunes, my iPhone, and one iPod for each of three kids. Ideally I would like the iPhone to use my iCloud account and each iPod to use an iCloud account specific to each kid. Enter the Apple ID you want to use for Store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes iTunes Store. would require that all iOS devices share the same iCloud account if they use iTunes on the same PC. Short of having one PC per family member, is there a method to use different iCloud accounts on each iOS device?

  • iTunes 7 can't find iPod in PlayOnLinux using Ubuntu 12.04 Precise?

    I'm using 12.04 and the latest version of PlayOnLinux to run iTunes 7. I have my iPod 4th gen plugged in and the computer recognizes that it's mounted but it's not showing up in iTunes for me to do anything with it. I know there have been a lot of issues with being able to access your iDevices in iTunes from Linux when you're using a compatibility layer like PlayOnLinux or Wine (both of which I have), so it's recommended that I use Rhythmbox to back up my music etc. Which is fine, because that's part of what I need to do, but my primary need in trying to access my iPod in iTunes is that I need to remove my backup password so that I can jailbreak my iPod with the new Absinthe jailbreak. If there is some other way I can do this without iTunes you know of, I'd love to hear it. If not, what can I do?

    Ok so this is what I got, but it don't look right... The set up is as follows: My Mac is on a wireless network, presumably behind a firewall over which I have no admin privileges. Further, said wireless network changes my internal IP randomly at random times, so I do not know what my ip is. Note that localhost is a variable ip I forward some port or the other to my dns: ssh -R 19999:localhost:22 sourceuser@remotehost connect to my remotehost from my machine: ssh sourceuser@remotehost and then connect to the port I forwarded: ssh localhost -p 19999 [solved] Second question, there are a bunch of ssh clients for the iphone. Which one should I use? EDIT: Since jailbreak is not illegal, simply frowned upon by the Corporation, I've decided to go with that. I have a nice shell with openssh and the works. Best of all, it's free and it does exactly what you expect.

    With the new media-library capabilities in the 3.0 SDK, I'd like to have a tab in my application to control the music that's playing. Not just pause and play (i'm aware that pressing the home button twice brings up controls for this), but also the ability to browse and queue albums/artists/songs/playlists. Basically a copy of the ipod app functionality. Any chance someone has already done this and made it freely available?

    Hi, I'm trying to do something that is fairly simple, but my code looks terrible and I am certain there is a better way to do things in javascript. I am new to javascript, and am trying to improve my coding. This just feels very messy. All I want to do is to randomly change the order some words on a web page.   • Making large toolbars like the iPod app

    I am trying to create a toolbar programatically (rather than via IB) very similar to the toolbar featured in the iPhone app. Currently I've been experimenting with the UIToolbar class, but I'm not sure how (and if?) you can make the toolbar buttons centrally aligned and large like that in the iPod app. Additionally, regardless of size, the gradient/reflection artwork never correctly respects the size and is stuck as if the object is the default smaller size. If this cannot be done with a standard UIToolbar, I guess I need to create my own view. In this case, can the reflection/gradient be created programmatically or will it require some clever alpha tranparency Photoshopped artwork?

  • best practice to obtain time zone for iPhone vs iPod Touch

    I am creating an app that requires the users current time zone. If the device being used is an iPhone and the user has their Time Zone set to automatically change, I think I can be fairly confident that localTimeZone or systemTimezone will give me the correct time zone for the user's location. If on the other hand the device is an iPod Touch, the time zone returned by localTimeZone and systemTimeZone appears to always be whatever time zone is set in the Date & Time settings, regardless of the user's actual location. I tried using location services but, while the lat/long is being provided properly, the time zone offset in the timesStamp I am getting is always the same as whatever the user has set for their time zone setting. Any suggestions? John

    Has anyone had difficulty getting what has otherwise been a solid iPhone app working on the iPad? I was under the impression that iPhone apps would run without problems on the iPad. We are are experiencing crashes (not intermittent - same place, at same time) that we've never gotten on the iPhone or iPod Touch.     Hi, I am very much curious about Nike + iPod app look and feel. They have selected uitabbar buttons red in color The tableviewcell selection style as red in color. The disclosure indicator is also red in color. The solution in my mind for two of these is: I can use a red colored arrow image to use it as accessory view. I can flip between a red colored and white colored view with animation for having the selection style But I am clueless of how the tabbar thing is to be done. I am very curious to know the tricks behind this, I also accept that I may be wrong with my other two solutions. So please suggest the solution for any of the problems.
