• Two different domain for specific languages pointing to one site

  I developing a client's blog and he needs it to be bilingual (english and spanish). Now what he wants is that users can get to the content based on the domain e.g. Jhon enters www.domain.com and he gets the english version and Juan enters www.elsenordominio.com to get the spanish version. All content will be validated by php so the users and search engines only reads the domain related language. What do i need to use header re-direct or 301? is it bad for seo? will google will google penalize me? I hope you guys can help me and forgive me if my english is not good.

• All my emails to Yahoo!, Hotmail and AOL are going to Spam, though I've implemented every validation

  Hi, I've implemented everything and checked everything (SPF, DomainKey, DKIM, reverse lookup), and only Gmail is allowing my emails to go to Inbox. • Good software to record desktop/screen operations [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: What is the best software for desktop recording? Hi superuser's. I would like to record some tasks in a program (i want to make a video where i will be explaining how to use a particular program) and i haven't found a good software to do it yet... I have just tested camStudio but when i hit the Record Button the computer starts working very slowly (even when recording in a small area... so i wouldn't imagine how slow it will run if recording full screen). So i want you to recommend me some good software to record the screen on a fast way... Thanks a lot. Juan

• SVN command that returns wether a user has a valid login for a repository?

  Hi there, I'm trying to find out an SVN command that would return some kind of true / false value depending on wether the user running it has access to a given repository. I'm building a tool for automated deployment and part of the process is checking out the code from the SVN repository. I'd like to find out if the user running the tool has a valid login already. If there's no valid login, just show a message and exit the tool (handling the SVN login internally is not an option at the moment). Plan B would be parsing the file in svn.simple looking for the repo URL, but thought about asking first. Thanks, Juan

• java -version doesn't write to stdout?

  Hi there, Either I'm doing something silly or Sun is. How come something like: java -version > version.txt Still prints out to stdout and leaves version.txt empty? I'm checking out the exit code, and it's still 0, so is not that's writing to stderr. I need this because I'm building a test-environment tool and want to check if the version of Java is adequate, I was planning to catch that version output, but now I'm stuck. I'm on OS X Leopard, Java version 1.6.0_20. Any ideas? Cheers, Juan

  Hi there, I've written a little utility in haXe + Neko that needs to execute some GIT commands. To avoid hardcoding the path to the GIT executable I'd like to use the which command to find out where it is. Everything works as expected when running manually from the console, but not when the the app runs on a cron job. I'm aware of the restricted environment (here or here) when you run a script using cron, but still surprised this doesn't work: /usr/bin/which git >> /home/user/git.txt The text file is created but the content is empty. Again, when run from the console it works as expected. Any ideas? I'm running OS X Leopard, if that helps. Thanks : ) Juan

If I'm lucky I don't even need to programmatically add new "behavior" code (functions,methods). Instead I can declarative add validation and even UI options by annotating the property (Java). In Functional Programming it seems that adding new data properties requires lots of code changes because of pattern matching and data constructors (Haskell, ML). How do I minimize this problem? This seems to be a recognized problem as Xavier Leroy states nicely on page 24 of "Objects and Classes vs. Modules" - To summarize for those that don't have a PostScript viewer it basically says FP languages are better than OOP languages for adding new behavior over data objects but OOP languages are better for adding new data objects/properties. Are there any design pattern used in FP languages to help mitigate this problem? I have read Phillip Wadler's recommendation of using Monads to help this modularity problem but I'm not sure I understand how?

• How to run unittest for Django?

  I configured properties for my django project under pydev. I can run the django app under pydev or under console window. But I have problems to run unittest under pydev. I cannot run unittest for app under console window either. I guessed it's something related to run configurations of pydev, so I made several trials, but with no success. Once I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'D:\django_projects\MyProject' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named D:\django_projects\MyProject ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. Another time I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'MyProject.settngs' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named settngs 'ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. I use pydev 1.5.6 on eclipse and windows xp. Any ideas for this problem? Now I think it's not something related to pydev, thanks for Xavier Ho's suggestion.

  I'm working on writing simple unit tests for a Rails 3 project, but I'm unable to actually execute any tests. Case in point, attempting to run the test auto-generated by Rails fails: require 'test_helper' class UserTest < ActiveSupport::TestCase # Replace this with your real tests. test "the truth" do assert true end end Results in the following error: <internal:lib/rubygems/custom_require>:29:in `require': no such file to load -- test_helper (LoadError) from <internal:lib/rubygems/custom_require>:29:in `require' from user_test.rb:1:in `<main>' Commenting out the require 'test_helper' line and attempting to run the test results in this error: user_test.rb:3:in `<main>': uninitialized constant Object::ActiveSupport (NameError) The action pack gems appear to be properly installed and up to date: actionmailer (3.0.3, 2.3.5) actionpack (3.0.3, 2.3.5) activemodel (3.0.3) activerecord (3.0.3, 2.3.5) activeresource (3.0.3, 2.3.5) activesupport (3.0.3, 2.3.5) Ruby is at 1.9.2p0 and Rails is at 3.0.3. The sample dump of my test directory is as follows: /fixtures /functional /integration /performance /unit -- /helpers -- user_helper_test.rb -- user_test.rb test_helper.rb I've never seen this problem before - I've run the typical rake tasks for preparing the test environment. I have nothing out of the ordinary in my application or environment configuration files, nor have I installed any unusual gems that would interfere with the test environment. Edit Xavier Holt's suggestion, explicitly specifying the path to the test_helper worked; however, this revealed an issue with ActiveSupport. Now when I attempt to run the test, I receive the following error message (as also listed above): user_test.rb:3:in `<main>': uninitialized constant Object::ActiveSupport (NameError) But as you can see above, Action Pack is all installed and update to date.

• iiR Hospital Digital 2011: Tras la historia digital ¿qué?

  Como el acceso a la documentación está restringido, sólo voy a comentar por encima algunos temas o planteamientos que me han llamado la atención del VI Foro Hospital Digital 2011, organizado por iiR. Y comienzo destacando la buena moderación de Maribel Grau del Hospital Clínic de Barcelona que estuvo sobria, eficaz y motivadora del debate. Me impresionó el proyecto Hospital Líquido del Hospital San Joan de Deu de Barcelona por el compromiso corporativo con una medicina colaborativa involucrando a los pacientes y a los profesionales, con unas iniciativas de eSalud y Salud2.0 avanzadas y apoyadas en un buen soporte legal, tecnológico, de los profesionales y con procesos bien definidos. Es un tema corporativo y no una prueba, como bien explicó Jorge Juan Fernández y detalló después Júlia Cutillas, cuyo rol, por cierto, es de Community Manager. En el debate salió el tema del retorno de la inversión y ese es un tema inmaduro, ya que es difícil de encontrar métricas adecuadas, pero no dudan de su continuidad ya que forma parte de una estrategia corporativa, en la que siempre hay elementos que forman parte de los costes generales y que se consideran necesarios para prestar el nivel de servicio que se desea ofrecer. Cecilia Pérez desde su posición como Jefe de Implantación de HCE en el Hospital de Móstoles hizo énfasis en la importancia de la gestión efectiva del cambio cuando se implanta un sistema de historia clínica electrónica que pasa por una inicial negación de los usarios al cambio, que luego presentan una resistencia al prinicipio para luego empezar a explorar posibilidades y llegar a un compromiso con el cambio. Santiago Borrás, Jefe de Sistemas del Hospital del Henares, partió de un hospital digital, pero eso no es más que el comienzo. Tras tres años la frustración de los profesionales es no perderse entre demasiada información. La etapa necesaria tras la digitalición es la generación y compartición del cononocimiento. Cristina Ibarrola, Directora de Atención Primaria del SNS-O comentó la experiencia de las interconsultas primaria-especializada que reducen la carga asistencial en primaria al aumentar la resolución. Hay una reserva de tiempos específicos en las agendas de los profesionales de ambos lados para garantizar una respuesta en un máximo de 48 horas. Eso ha llevado a una flexibiliazación de la agenda de los médicos de primaria que tienen un 25% más de tiempo para las consultas presenciales. Parece que aquí la opción tomada es dar más tiempo por paciente en vez de más pacientes, supongo que en parte porque la presión asistencial en Navarra tengo entendido que no es tan fuerte como en otras zonas. Alejandra Cubero comentó la experiencia de identificación de pacientes y de inteoperabilidad en Hospitales de Madrid. Ana Rosa Pulido presentó los logros del SES y su proyecto actual de Imagen Médica No Radiológica. Richard Bernat explicó la experiencia de HCE de Salud de la Mujer Dexeus, indicando que si bien no hay métricas del retorno de la inversión, sí hay una percepción del valor por las diferentes direcciones. Arturo Quesada glosó la experiencia de Jimena en el Hospital de Ávila, Joan Chafer desgranó el arduo proceso de introducción de sucesivas soluciones digitales en el Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid comenzando por “Hogar Digital”, todo ello con financiación externa o recursos propios y cerró el turno de intervenciones no comerciales Pedro A. • Cientos de Directores Financieros se congregaron en el evento “Innovación y Excelencia en la Función Financiera”

APD, en colaboración con Oracle, organizaron esta jornada con el objetivo de analizar el proceso de transformación del Director Financiero en las compañías (aquí puedes ver un estudio sobre ello). Enrique Sanchez de Leon, Director de APD, fue el encargado de abrir la jornada con una calurosa bienvenida a los invitados. Tras él, Fernando Rumbero, Iberia Applications Cluster Leader de Oracle , comenzó dando unas pinceladas sobre los cambios a los que los Directores Financieros deben estar preparados para convertirse en parte de la estrategia de la compañía. Después de que todos los ponentes fueran presentados y se acomodaran en su lugar del escenario de aquella gran sala, Oriol Farré, Presales Director de Oracle, tomó la palabra para profundizar sobre el nuevo rol estratégico del Director Financiero y cómo éste se está convirtiendo cada vez más en el catalizador del cambio dentro de las empresas (¿tú lo eres? aquí hablamos de cómo puedes evaluarlo) Por su parte, Maria Jesús Carrato, Profesora de Dirección Financiera Internacional en el IE y Directora Financiera del Grupo SM mostró su visión sobre cómo serán los Departamentos Financieros del futuro. Después llego el turno de Ramón Arguelaguet, Financial Controller & Reporting Senior Manager de Vodafone, que profundizo en la innovación y la transformación lideradas por los Directores Financieros dentro de las organizaciones. Por último, pero no menos importante, Juan Jesús Donoso, Director Económico de Cruz Roja Española, nos mostro el punto de vista de la gestión de una organización sin ánimo de lucro. Finalmente, en la mesa redonda, cada uno de los integrantes dio su punto de vista sobre el nuevo rol de Director Financiero y los nuevos retos a los que se enfrentan. El broche final de la jornada la puso el coctel para abrir paso a un espacio de networking que sin duda los cientos de Directores Financieros aprovecharon para intercambiar puntos de vista, conocer a nuevos compañeros y reencontrarse con muchos otros.
