• Ant task to pre-compile JSPs on weblogic server

  I am trying to create an ant task to compile JSPs. • SSL certificate error with Weblogic in Internet Explorer

  I have a Weblogic server installed and a site. The SSL port is 7002 When I try to access a secure page ex https://localhost:7002/site in Internet Explorer I get a certificate error. Clicking the continue to website does not do anything. In chrome, I get the opton to "Ignore Anyway" and I can continue to see the page. But in Internet explorer I having no such luck. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am using the default certificates that come wih weblogic installation. I have not generated any private keys or certificates. Any help appreciated.

• Upgrade issues due to broken "dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-generic" error

  okay, I've recently upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 and I've been having some issues. I don't know if its a bug or not, but I thought I would submit it here. Okay here's a little background; I ran the distro update from the update manager and got a couple errors that I didn't catch. the computer restarted, and when I logged the Launcher and my top bar of the Ubuntu desktop didn't load. While it was trying to load a couple error messages came up, I think they were called "apport", saying they couldn't send the bug information for some reason. I believe it said somethings wrong with my internet connection, but nothing's wrong with it. • Server auto-installed Decnet during dist-upgrade

  When I did a dist-upgrade of my ubuntu 10.04 server, it automatically installed Decnet, and it trew up ncurses based configuration wizard. I have never heard of Decnet, but I followed the instructions in the wizard, and accepted for it to be installed, and it lead to the disconnection of 2 of my internet uplinks, and the hosted website stopped responding on WAN side. Then I purged Decnet, and rebooted the server, and everything went normal. So why did my server install Decnet when I did dist-upgrade?

• Minecraft running slow after 13.10 upgrade

  What to took for when Minecraft is running slow (~10 FPS) after a simple Ubuntu upgrade (from 13.04 to 13.10) without any manual change in the hardware/software graphic configuration and in the Minecraft configuration? • Problem after the Last Dist-upgrade in ubuntu 12.10

  I just updated my ubuntu 12.10 netbook using the command sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. The last partial-upgrade has eliminated unity; if I try ro re-install Unity from Synaptic it tell me that I have problem with the dependecies in particular with "compiz-core-abiversion-20120920". I'm upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04, and I've upgraded several times before, and it's as simple as running update-manager -d and downloading and installing them, then rebooting. How exactly does this work though? How is the upgrade manager able to update the operating system while it is still in use?

  Every time I try and upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 it keeps telling me that there are network problems. Is this a problem on "the other" side? My upgrade got through downloading half the packages last night but then went into sleep and then failed. Could it have something to do with that? Would I need to open a terminal and clear a "cache" (no idea what I'm talking about here) Thanks (Solved now, tried it again through out the day and it downloaded and installed fine)

  Can anyone make something out of this? After getting the invitation for upgrading from 12.04 to 14.04, I click on the 'Yes, Upgrade Now' button and I get a little window saying 'Authentication failed', Authenticating the upgrade failed. There may be a problem with the network or with the server. It's weird since I have a good solid connection while doing this. Thanks and any help would be great. Thanks again!

  Is there an "easy" way to "upgrade" my existing Linux Mint 12 install to Kubuntu 12.04 beta 2? I know I could reinstall. Usually I would do a clean install to avoid unexpected issues. But in this case, I don't have time to reconfigure everything from my printers to my installed software, so I am looking for the quick/easy way, but I also want to avoid big risks of an upgrade gone wrong. I'm hoping to just change some repos and run a few commands from the terminal. I don't mind editing a few config files as long as I can find good HOWTOs. But I don't want to be the pioneer (arrows in back). I'm hoping someone has done this before and has a set of steps. For context, I recently installed KDE 4.8 SC onto Kubuntu 11.10 using PPAs. This was on another computer. That wasn't a problem. But I decided to do a fresh install of Kubuntu 12.04 later. I like it well enough that I want to change my other computer from Linux Mint 12 to Kubuntu. (I'm going all-in with KDE. It's now my desktop of choice.) This Linux Mint upgrade will be a move from Gnome and MGSE to KDE, so that will probably complicate things at bit compared to something like upgrading Kubuntu 11.10 to KDE 4.8. • Distribution upgrade (12.04 -> 14.04 LTS) halted while unpacking/installing packages

  As the title states...it just stopped unpacking/installing. "Preparing to unpack .../lirc_0.9.0-0ubuntu5_amd64.deb ..." then stopped in its tracks. Everything else is still running. The update manager process is still alive; if I hit ctrl-c, it gives me the warning message about leaving the system in a broken state. Also, if I run top, there is a process called "trusty" which is still running. I have NOT killed either process. lsb_release -a gives: LSB Version: core-2.0-amd64:core-2.0-noarch:core-3.0-amd64:core-3.0-noarch:core-3.1-amd64:core-3.1-noarch:core-3.2-amd64:core-3.2-noarch:core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Release: 14.04 Codename: trusty I assume that if I try to restart update-manager, I won't be offered the option to upgrade again. Anyone have a way I can get the update-manager/dist-upgrade process to simply finish the upgrade? Thanks!

• ODSI + weblogic = JDBC problem

  I'm currently developing a web service using ODSI through Oracle Workshop for WebLogic (ex AquaLogic). I created a datasource on weblogic using the driver "Oracle thin driver 10g", the test succeed on WebLogic. (My Database is Oracle 10 10.2.0.1.0) The problem occours when I try to create the Phisical Data Service in the Oracle Workshop. I choose the following options: Data source type = Relational Data source = [THE CORRECT NAME OF THE SOURCE SET ON WEBLOGIC] Database type = ??? Aqualogic, doesn't allow me to select the database type. I guess is a problem related to the driver set on weblogic... but I ain't sure.Does someone know the nature of my problem ? Tnx

  My upgrade using alternative iso from 11.10 to 12.04 got interrupted and I had to hard restart my machine. Now I feel that everything is recovered except my already installed packages like vim. How do I backup my home folder for fresh installation of ubuntu? • Seam + hibernate + jsf on weblogic

  I'm making a little project with Seam, Hibernate and JSF. This project run on JBoss 5.1. My boss wants to deploy this project on WebLogic. I read on the seam documentation that seam and WebLogic don't work fine together. I would like to know if I can use Hibernate (with JPA) and JSF on WebLogic and what framework (struts, spring?) I can use to replace Seam. Edit: I read in the seam documentation (chapter 39, weblogic integration) and I find that: For several releases of Weblogic there has been an issue with how Weblogic generates stubs and compiles EJB's that use variable arguments in their methods. This is confirmed in the Weblogic 9.X and 10.0.MP1 versions. Unfortunately the 10.3 version only partially addresses the issue as detailed below. So, I want to know if other problems like this exist. • What to do?! Upgrading from 12.10 to 13.04 failed :(

  I got an update reminder to go from 12.10 to 13.04. I followed the instructions, was able to download the package, and started installing. Up to a point where my computer (seemed to) restart and there was just a black screen (with the backlight on) for more than an hour. Then I decided that this was too long for an installation and forced my laptop to shut down. I think that messed it up. Now I'm stuck in what seems to be 13.04 with bits of 12.10 in it. I tried to upgrade again through software updater but it goes to Partial Upgrade. But when I try that, I get this error message: "An upgrade from 'raring' to 'quantal' is not supported by this tool." Help! What should I do! I'm running my Ubuntu on my Dell Inspiron.
