    Altough I've known Code Contracts for some time, as I've used it a bit in Java, I would like to start using them in C#, now that they are part of C# 4.0. I am looking on learning material, books or vids. Altough tutorials are also welcome, I'd like to have something comprehensive to read, not the typical "here's how you use Requires and here's how you use Ensures".     Hello, I know of the "wget" function in shell, but I'm running perl from the command line on a windows machine and I was looking for a method of sequentially downloading the web source code from a site. For example: for www.abcd.com has the extension of it's subsites as 1,2,3 etc such that www.abcd.com/1 or www.abcd.com/2 is the syntax. I would like the source to be labeled as 1.source, 2.source etc for a defined set of pages 1-100 say. Thanks for the help, Jake

    Does anyone know of an updated list of refactoring support for different IDEs? How many of Fowlers refactorings have tool support in popular IDEs? And does any IDE use code smells to any greater extent? I guess one would have to use addons for some IDEs, so even if i did find an updated list of refactoring support for say Eclipse, that would probably not be representative.

I want to be able to have them hidden as default, with a little "Show\Hide" button that would expand them (Example). Is there a standard way to do that?     There's a web services I want to call in my application, I can use it with importing the WSDL or by just use "HTTP GET" with the URL and parameters, so I prefer the later because it's simple thing. I know I can use indy idhttp.get, to do the job, but this is very simple thing and I don't want to add complex indy code to my application. UPDATE: sorry if I was not clear, I meant by "not to add complex indy code", that I don't want add indy components for just this simple task, and prefer more lighter way for that.

    I set up a maintenance page that I could enable through an htaccess file. The html file is located in a folder called "maintenance". The html file has some images in it. However, visitors to the page see no images, even though I added a line to allow them. If I try to visit an image in the browser directly, it redirects to the maintenance.htm page.     I was wondering if there is a tool (automator script or a third party) to generate code for simple scenarios like add another property. I don't like going to two or three places and write the same thing over and over again. instead I want to say "I want a new property of type int with name X" and it generates the lines in .h and .m files for me in one go.

  • What does the status code of the Perl interpreter mean?

    Hi, This might sound slightly confusing, but please bear with me. I'm trying to execute a copy of the Perl interpreter using Java's Runtime.exec(). However, it returned error code 9. After running the file a few times, the perl interpreter mysteriously started to return code 253 with no changes in my command at all. What does code 253 / code 9 mean? A google search for perl interpreter's exit codes turned up nothing. Where can I find a list of exit codes for the Perl interpreter? Thanks!

  • How do I rebuild a corrupt dpkg status file?

    Whenever I type sudo apt-get remove and then press the Tab key for auto-completion I get the following message: grep-status: /var/lib/dpkg/status:15945: expected a colon. I don't see anything especially strange at line 15945 in the status file. It's a dot character in the description field of a mono library package and inserting a colon did not help. Removing the line containing the dot did not work either. Overwriting the file with status-old resulted in the same message. Is there some way to rebuild the status file?

    To commemorate the public launch of Stack Overflow, what's the shortest code to cause a stack overflow? Any language welcome. ETA: Just to be clear on this question, seeing as I'm an occasional Scheme user: tail-call "recursion" is really iteration, and any solution which can be converted to an iterative solution relatively trivially by a decent compiler won't be counted. :-P ETA2: I've now selected a “best answer”; see this post for rationale. The user command is used in this format: command -parameter For example, the app can have "Copy", "Paste", "Delete" command I am thinking the program should work like this : public static void main(String args[]){ if(args[0].equalsIgnoreCase("COPY")){ //handle the copy command } else if(args[0].equalsIgnoreCase("PASTE")){ //handle the copy command }/** code skipped **/ } So, it works, but I think it will become more and more complex when I have more command in my program, also, it is different to read.
