    Is there a quick and easy way to backup both SQL Server 2008 and MySQL, all their databases? Right now I have a batch script that runs, but I have to manually add a database each and every time, and I'm sick of maintaining it. So I want to set it up to backup all SQL Server and then all MySQL, I dont care if its two different solutions, just want the ability to backup all the databases without having to type them in. I have searched on Google and found lots of information on writing my own program to do this, but this is a just a quick and dirty experiment so I don't want to invest a lot of time on writing a bunch of code to do this, I am sure someone else has done this already.

    Dear All: I am battling with Ivy (I tried maven but had an event more difficult time setting up the JBoss repository for Hibernate). Quick question - I am using this wonderful package: http://ooweb.sourceforge.net/index.html Unfortunately, the JAR is only available through Sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ooweb/files/ooweb/0.8.0/ooweb-0.8.0-bin.tar.gz/download Is there a way to get Ivy to download a specific JAR?     By default, printf() seems to align strings to the right. printf("%10s %20s %20s\n", "col1", "col2", "col3"); /* col1 col2 col3 */ I can also align text to the left like this: printf("%-10s %-20s %-20s", "col1", "col2", "col3"); Is there a quick way to center text? Or do I have to write a function that turns a string like test into (space)(space)test(space)(space) if the text width for that column is 8?

Is there an equivalent of @ as applied to strings in Java: For example I can do @"c:\afolder\afile" in C# and have it ignore the escape characters when processing instead of having to do "c:\afolder\aFile".     A quick question. How many copies of the same movie are kept in a video server (a video streaming server)? Suppose a particular video is at max requested by 1000 users at the same instant of time, how many copies would be sufficient so that parallel streams can be provided to each user? Ideally 1 copy would solve the purpose, but what is the optimum number keeping the bandwidth and simultaneous access in mind?

  • What's the right way to communicate between 2 or more .Net applications running on a same computer w

    If my applications run on a same computer or even on different computers in a same LAN and need intense and quick communication, it seems illogical for me to use text-encoded web services and HTTP. I could possibly use IP/TCP/UDP sockets and invent my own protocols, but believe there is a standard way for .Net applications to send/receive object instances (and, maybe, even sharing an object by reference?). Can you tell me what's that standard way? I am only interested in .Net Framework 4 applications and don't need to support legacy frameworks.

    Hi guys, I've made a library which I'd like to compile to an SWC file, I've tried to do this in FDT by choosing FDT AS3 Library as Run settings, but all I end up with is a 0kb .swc file. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I can't find much when I google it either, if anybody has a quick walkthrough on how to do it saved in your bookmarks or something, that would be great! Especially when I have already typed in a lot of "(" and ")" instead of "\left(" and "\right)", how can I do a quick replacement? similarly for "{" and "}" and "[" and "]"?     Hi. Is there something like Spork for Jruby too? We want to parallelize our specs to run faster and pre-load the classes while running the rake task; however we have not been able to do so.     Can anyone think of a (preferably quick) way to move the data() attached to a DOM element to a new instance of itself? The lightbox plugin I'm using deletes and re-appends and element to the page in order to display it in the lightbox (to aviod the multiple-ids issue that ASP.net has), and obviously the .data() that is attached to the element is lost when this happens.
