  • Does XAML design mode support more color than code view?

    While working with SilverLight using Visual Studio 10, I found that in design mode XAML allows a wide plethora of colors. For ex. Lime is a valid color in XAML. <LinearGradientBrush EndPoint="1,0.5" StartPoint="0,0.5"> <GradientStop Color="Yellow" Offset="0" /> <GradientStop Color="Lime" Offset="1" /> While working with code though, I found that Lime and many other colors are missing... GradientStop blueGS = new GradientStop(); blueGS.Color = Colors.Lime; What am I missing? Both of these colors belong to System.Windows.Media.Colors.

  • authorization services question cocoa

    Sorry for being a total beginner in cocoa and for asking the following stupid question, but it's too confusing for me to google it myself or maybe i'm just missing something. I need to run a shellscript with elevated privileges in cocoa. As i understand, "AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges" is the correct way to do it. So i've created an application and tried to use some code from one example i found online. The problem is ... if i understand it correctly ... there should be a Security framework in /System/Library/Frameworks that i have to import to the project, but ... it's not there. What am i missing here? Thank you.

  • How do I find where an exception was thrown in C++?

    I have a program that throws an uncaught exception somewhere. All I get is a report of an exception being thrown, and no information as to where it was thrown. It seems illogical for a program compiled to contain debug symbols not to notify me of where in my code an exception was generated. Is there any way to tell where my exceptions are coming from short of setting 'catch throw' in gdb and calling a backtrace for every single thrown exception?

  • Localization not working

    I have an application that is supposed to be localized (two languages, english being the default). However, I seem to only get the English versions of all strings, regardless of what the system default language is. I am probably missing something trivial, but I've read several tutorials now without any solution. I added this line to main(), NSLog(@"Current locale is: %@", [[NSLocale currentLocale] localeIdentifier]); and the resulting printout is en_US, while the system was set to use the localized language. I checked the build output, and the app bundle contains the XX.lproj folders as I believe they should (and they are UTF-16, I confirmed this). What am I missing?

This is what I see in the headers of the marked messages: X-SpamTest-Info: {TO: header missing} This is from my php file. $mail->From = $sender; $mail->FromName = $sender_name; $mail->Subject = $subject; $mail->Body = $body; $mail->AddAddress($recipient,$recipient_name); $mail->AddReplyTo($replyto,"No-Reply"); Dont know how to add "to" header and can't understand how it's possible that "to" is missing but email arrives to the correct "to" address...

  • HtmlUnit doesn't load externally referenced javascript

    I have run into a problem while trying to test a web application with HtmlUnit. Please bear in mind that I haven't used HtmlUnit very long so I might be missing something trivial. For some reason externally referenced javascripts aren't being loaded. When I print the page as xml all i get is this: <script language="javascript" src="urltofile.js"> </script> As you can see the script tag is empty when it should contain the javascript. What am I missing? I have googled for a solution all morning but haven't found any relevant information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • initWithCoder breaking my touch events (touchBegan, touchMoved, etc)

    So I have a UIView that has been setup, and in each touch event handler I have an NSLog fire off a message to the console. - (void) touchesBegan:(NSSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { NSLog(@"touchesBegan"); } And that pretty much works as expected. But once I implement initWithCoder (even blank) - (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder*)coder { return self; } I no longer receive the message to my console (or can hit breakpoints obviously). This is my first app so I'm probably missing something dumb, but I've looked through various example apps and I don't appear to be missing any code that would re-enable touch events.

    Hello, Python - c++ dll - c# dll I have a com interop c# dll that is loaded in a wrapper c++ dll throught the .tlb file generated in c# to be used in a python project. When I run in my computer it works fine but when I run in a computer that just got formated it gives: WindowsError: exception code 0xe0434f4d I have the redistribute c++ installed and the .net compact framework 3.5 on the formatted computer. How can I see what is the correct exception on a computer that does not have visual studio installed? How can I debug all of this? I can't debug the dll's itself can I? Note: in my computer all works well so maybe is some dll or file missing. I allready used Dependency Walker to see if there's some dll missing, and nop!

    Hello All. I am having trouble accessing a declared property and I think I am missing something fundamental about the nature of properties and perhaps view controllers. Here's what I'm doing so far: declaring a property "myPhone" in a root view controller called RootViewController. grabbing a phone number from a modally presented people picker setting "myPhone" to the value from the people picker (from within shouldContinueAfterSelectingPerson of ABPeoplePickerNavigationController) trying to access "myPhone" from another modally presented view controller "myPhone" continues to NSLog to null despite trying every permutation of self.myPhone, super, RootViewController, etc. to try and access the value I set. What am I missing?

  • Setting Corner Radius on UIImageView not working

    I'm at a bit of a loss. I've used the layer property of UIView to round the corners of multiple elements in my app. However, this one UIImageView is simply not complying. Not sure what I am missing. The UIImageView (called previewImage) is contained in a Table View Cell.   • Reset UIKeyboard State

    I have a UITextView which the keyboard enters values into. However, if you clear the text value (i.e uitextview.text = @""), the keyboard's state does not reset to the lowercase alphabet keyboard. That is, if I was in the middle of typing "hello.." and the textview gets cleared, the keyboard still shows the symbols, rather than back to the alphabetical letters. Is there a way to get around this?

Alistair Cockburn's style of writing Use Cases springs to mind; orthogonal arrays (pairwise testing) is another. I hope this is an okay forum to ask this, but since I read mostly Agile related books and articles and work with mostly Agile folk ... is there anything I'm missing? Thanks for all your help.     I have an enumeration that I want to use in pattern matches in an actor. I'm not getting what i'd expect and, now, I'm suspecting I'm missing something simple. My enumeration, object Ops extends Enumeration { val Create = Value("create") val Delete = Value("delete") } Then, I create an Ops from a String: val op = Ops.valueOf("create") Inside my match, I have: case (Ops.Create, ...) But Ops.Create doesn't seem to equal ops.valueOf("create") The former is just an atom 'create' and the later is Some(create) Hopefully, this is enough info for someone to tell me what I'm missing...     Might be a stupid question, but in my current maven project i do not have a web.xml in my /web-app/WEB-INF folder. There is no web-xml in my project and never has been, im trying to add it but my application is non-responsive to anything written in the web.xml. What am i missing?, iv tried specifying the path to it through the config.groovy like: grails.project.web.xml="web-app/WEB-INF/web.xml" Am i missing something? Do i need to specify the web.xml in some other config file in order to make my project utilize it ?

    I have two table one is index and another is the price structure as under table : index : column : trandate ,indexcode Table : price : Column: trandate,symbol,price i want to know the missing price. I issue the query select i.trandate,i.indexcode,p.trandate,p.price from index i left join price p on i.trandate = p.trandate where p.symbol='ABC' and indexcode="New" the above query does not show the null date even though various price in missing in price table. Only reason i understand is that the index table does not have the symbol field that's why...but as per theory if you want to show all the rows of one table and only the match value of another table then use the left or right join query...please anybody can help
