  • Url mapping with my servlet?

    Hi, I'm using GWT with GAE. When the user enters any of the following urls, I want to just serve my app as usual to them: http://www.mysite.com/ http://www.mysite.com/dog http://www.mysite.com/cat the first case works by default. I'm not sure how to get the /dog and /cat cases to work. I think I have to modify something with the url mappings to get that to work in web.xml.     Hi, I am using spring and hibernate along with my different components There is date field in DB as contract_end_date as a Date , so my pojo also contains date getter setter for contract_end_date, but when i submit form to Multiaction controller it gives data bindding exception for contract_end_date. It trying to search string getter setter for contract_end_date. So is there is any solution to handle this kind of problem.   • Simple moving object jitters every couple of seconds [on hold]

    I'm trying to get smooth movement in my game, right now every couple of seconds the moving square jitters. I'm using C++ with SDL2. I made a very simple project to test different methods so all that's happening is a box moves across the screen.     Hi, I am trying to write two kind of Rack routes. Rack allow us to write such routes like so: app = Rack::URLMap.new('/test' => SimpleAdapter.new, '/files' => Rack::File.new('.')) In my case, I would like to handle those routes: "/" or "index" "/*" in order to match any other routes So I had trying this: app = Rack::URLMap.new('/index' => SimpleAdapter.new, '/' => Rack::File.new('./public')) This works well, but... I don't know how to add '/' path (as alternative of '/index' path). The path '/*' is not interpreted as a wildcard, according to my tests. Do you know how I could do? Thanks

The question is how should my (ideally fluent) mappings look like here? It is not necessary (from my point of view) for Hour class to have Id or be accessible from some kind of repository.

However I cannot create a list of this "interface" type (here "Outputable").     I am making a flash game in which i have a variable levelState that describes the current level in which user has entered I am using SharedObject to save the progress but it does not do so first i declred a clas level variable private var levelState:Number = 1; private var mySaveData:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal("levelSave"); in the Main function i am checking if it is a first run of the game like below if (mySaveData.data.levelsComplete == null) { mySaveData.data.levelsComplete = 1; } and in a function where the winning condition is checked so that levelState could be increased i am usin this sharedobject to hold the value of levelState if (/*winniing condition*/) levelState++; mySaveData.data.levelsComplete = levelState; mySaveData.flush(); setNewLevel(levelState); } but when i play the game clear a level and again run the game it does not start from that level it starts from beginning.

  • Strategy for avoiding duplicate object ids for data shared across devices using iCloud

    I have a data intensive iOS app that is not using CoreData nor does it support iCloud synching (yet). All of my objects are created with unique keys. I use a simple long long initialized with the current time. Then as I need a new key I increment the value by 1. This has all worked well for a few years with the app running isolated on a single device. Now I want to add support for automatic data sync across devices using iCloud. As my app is written, there is the possibility that two objects created on two different devices could end up with the same key. I need to avoid this possibility. I'm looking for ideas for solving this issue. I have a few requirements that the solution must meet: 1) The key needs to remain a single integral data type. Converting all existing keys to a compound key or to a string or other type would affect the entire code base and likely result in more bugs than it's worth. 2) The solution can't depend on an Internet connection. A user must be able to run the app and add data even with no Internet connection. The data should still resolve properly later when the data syncs through iCloud once a connection is available. I'll accept one exception to this rule. If no other option is available, I may be open to requiring an Internet connection the first time the app's data is initialized. One idea I have been toying around with in my head is logically splitting the integer key into two parts. The high 4 or 5 bits could be used as some sort of device id while the rest represents the actual key. The fuzzy part is figuring out how to come up with non-conflicting device ids that fit in a few bits. This should be viable since I don't need to deal will millions of devices. I just need to deal with the few devices that would be shared by a given iCloud account. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

    I've been working on a minor (first time) app with quickly and hit a hurdle - how do I get the selected row (the data) from a TreeView? The data to the TreeView is passed from a list of files in a directory, and I need to know which rows were selected (and thus which files were). What is the best way to do that? As I fas as I know, BigDecimal is used when arbitrary precision required, when deal with prices for example. Consider simple API updatePrice(Double d) Should i persist double as is or BigDecimal.valueOf(d) is preferable ?

    In my recent course on HCI, I've been told that start button on Windows systems is an example of poor mapping. The reason for that, as explained in materials, is that it doesn't start anything, but rather reveals a menu. I think that this is only valid if you approaching this from low level of abstraction (meaning that the button must start something). If you on the other hand take a view on this from higher level of abstraction, as of "Place where I start most of my tasks", i.e. This is the place where you are start*ing the task of switching off your computer This is the place where you are start*ing the task of searching for something on your computer This is the place where you are start*ing the task of running a program This is the place where you are start*ing the task ... Then I think it makes perfect sense and has perfect mapping. Is this a sensible interpretation?

  • Mapping individual buttons on ASP.NET MVC View to controller actions

    I have an application where I need the user to be able to update or delete rows of data from the database. The rows are displayed to the user using a foreach loop in the .aspx file of my view. Each row will have two text fields (txtName, txtDesc), an update button, and a delete button. What I'm not sure of, is how do I have the update button send the message to the controller for which row to update? I can see a couple way of doing this: Put each row within it's own form tag, then when the update button is clicked, it will submit the values for that row only (there will also be a hidden field with the rowId) and the controller class would take all the post values as parameters to the Update method on the controller. Somehow, have the button be scripted in a way to send back only the values for that row with a POST to the controller. Is there a way of doing this? One thing I am concerned about is if each row has different names for it's controls assigned by ASP.NET (txtName1, txtDesc1, txtName2, txtDesc2), then how will their values get mapped to the correct parameters of the Controller method?

  • What's the fastest way to compare two objects in PHP?

    Let's say I have an object - a User object in this case - and I'd like to be able to track changes to with a separate class. The User object should not have to change it's behavior in any way for this to happen. Therefore, my separate class creates a "clean" copy of it, stores it somewhere locally, and then later can compare the User object to the original version to see if anything changed during its lifespan. Is there a function, a pattern, or anything that can quickly compare the two versions of the User object? Option 1 Maybe I could serialize each version, and directly compare, or hash them and compare? Option 2 Maybe I should simply create a ReflectionClass, run through each of the properties of the class and see if the two versions have the same property values? Option 3 Maybe there is a simple native function like objects_are_equal($object1,$object2);? What's the fastest way to do this?
