    This is my first blog post for new year 2011 and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the readers for making my blog very successful and accepting me a community member. As year 2010 has lots of up down in IT filed it was recession period and now we almost recovered from it. Personally year 2010 has been very successful to me as I have been awarded as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for visual C#. And It was one of the greatest achievement of my life.   • Help With Proxy Username & Pass with GeckoFX??!!

    Hello, I am trying to set the proxy username and password. I saw this posting (http://geckofx.org/viewtopic.php?id=832) and I thought it might be a similar setting for the username/password, such as : Skybound.Gecko.GeckoPreferences.User["network.proxy.user"] = (user); Skybound.Gecko.GeckoPreferences.User["network.proxy.password"] = (password); But, nothing has worked so far. Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it!!! I am using VB.net if that helps. Thanks!!

    I'm working with code I'm converting to Pgsql working with .NET. I want to call a stored function that has several parameters, but I'd like to bind the parameters by name, like so: NpgsqlCommand command = new NpgsqlCommand("\"StoredFunction\"", _Connection) command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; command.Parameters.Add("param2", value2); command.PArameters.Add("param1", value1); Attempts to do this so far look for a function with parameter types matching in the order in which I added the parameters to the collection, not by name. Is it possible for Npgsql to bind parameters to stored functions by name?

    I have been following the following post on using multiple ItemTemplates in a ListView control. I cannot figure out how I to send through my Comment item. The sender object and EventArgs do not contain the info.

Basically I have defined Parameters!RP_cll_typ_l1 as multivalued into my subreport as per ssrs multivalued parameter passing method. The value is going on sub report as '1,2,3,4' (not understandable by data set) It should be like as '1’,’2’,’3’,’4' or 1,2,3,4 How can I resolve this please help if any have solution? I know you can make a tel:// call but the issue is that it brings up the dial / cancel prompt and after that it prevents any future DTMF from being sent.

  • How do I get Visual Studio build process to pass condition to library(external) project

    I have tried several solutions for this problem. Enough to know I do not know enough about MSBuild to do this elegantly but I feel like there should be a method. I have a set of libraries for working with .net projects. A few of the projects utilize System.Web.Mvc - which recently released Version 2 - and we are looking forward to the upgrade. Currently sites which reference this library reference it directly by the project(csproj) on the developer's computer - not a built version of the library so that changes and source code case easily be viewed when dealing code from this library. This works quite well and would prefer to not have to switch to binary references (but will if this is the only solution). The problem I have is that because of some of the functionality that was added onto the MVC1 based library (view engines, model binders etc) several of the sites reliant on these libraries need to stay on MVC1 until we have full evaluated and tested them on MVC2. I would prefer to not have to fork or have two copies on each dev machine. This webservice is password enabled. that means i have used org.apache.cxf.ws.security.wss4j.WSS4JInInterceptor for security purpose. Now i want to call this webservice from php. but i am not able to do so.   • How to pass user-defined structs using boost mpi

    I am trying to send a user-defined structure named ABC using boost::mpi::send () call. The given struct contains a vector "data" whose size is determined at runtime. Objects of struct ABC are sent by master to slaves. But the slaves need to know the size of vector "data" so that the sufficient buffer is available on the slave to receive this data. I can work around it by sending the size first and initialize sufficient buffer on the slave before receiving the objects of struct ABC. But that defeats the whole purpose of using STL containers. Does anyone know of a better way to do handle this ? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Here is a sample code that describes the intent of my program.   • Best way to change jqGrid rowNum from ALL to -1 before pass to a web service

    I'm looking to find the best way to allow users to choose to show ALL records in a jqGrid. I know that a -1 value passed for the rows parameter denotes ALL, but I want the word "ALL" not a -1 to appear in the rowList select element, ie. rowList: [15, 50, 100, 'ALL']. I'm passing the grid request to a web service which accepts an int for "rows", and I'm trying find how and when I should change the user selected value of "ALL" to a -1 before it gets sent to the web service. Below is my cleaned up grid code. I tried some various code blocks before my $.ajax in the datatype function. But most attempts just seemed like I have to be doing this the most convoluted way I possibly could. For example, datatype: function(postdata) { if ($("#gridTableAssets").jqGrid('getGridParam', 'rowNum') == 'ALL') { $("#gridTableAssets").appendPostData({ "rows": -1, "page": 1 }); } $.ajax({... But doing that seemed to cause the actual "page" GridParam to be nulled out on subsequent grid actions, forcing me handle that in other places. There just seems like this is something that would be frequently done out there and have clean way of doing it.
