  • Prototype Ajax.Updater Response OK, but not showing up in FF. working in Safari!

    Hi, I've got a quite strange problem here. I'm calling some simple code via Ajax.Updater: new Ajax.Updater('load','http://myurl.com/demo.pl?key=demokey&param1=xyz&param2=abc',{ method:'get', onComplete:function(transport){ alert(transport.responseText) } }); which gets some code like this: <img id="2009_04_15_1239786246" src='../pv/100/2009_04_15_1239786246-01.jpg' border="1"> <img id="2009_04_15_1239786066" src='../pv/100/2009_04_15_1239786066-01.jpg' border="1"> ... and so on This code shows up in my firebug console as my server response, so everything should be fine. No errors here at all. Works fine in Safari. Firefox, according to Firebug, knows there is a response, but it won't show a thing in my div 'load' and the alert(transport.responseText) is also empty. I have no idea what could be the problem here.

    Mhh, kinda hard to explain with my poor english ;) So, lets say I have an image, doesnt matter what kind of (gif, jpg, png) with 200x200 pixel size (total area 40000 pixels) This image have a background, that can be trasparent, or every color (but i know the background-color in advance). Lets say that in the middle of this image, there is a picture (for keep the example simple lets suppose is a square drawn), of 100x100 pixels (total area 10000 pixels). I need to know the area percentage that the small square fill inside the image. So, in i know the full image size and the background-color, there is a way in php/python to scan the image and retrieve that (in short, counting the pixel that are different from the given background)? In the above example, the result should be 25%

  • How to scale JPEG image down so that text is clear as possible?

    I have some JPEG images that I need scale down to about 80% of original size. Original image dimension are about 700px × 1000px. Images contain some computer generated text and possibly some graphics (similar to what you would find in corporate word documents). How to scale image so that the text is as legible as possible? Currently we are scaling the imaeg down using bicubic interpolation, but that makes the text blurry and foggy.

  • The backbone router isn't working properly

    I'm building a simple backbone app that have 4 routes: home, about, privacy and terms. But after setting the routes I have 3 problems: The "terms" view isn't rendering; When I refresh the #about or the #privacy page, the home view renders after the #about/#privacy view When I hit the back button the home view never renders. For example, if I'm in the #about page, and I hit the back button to the homepage, the about view stays in the page I don't know what I'm doing wrong about the 1st problem. I think that the 2nd and 3rd problem are related with something missing in the home router, but I don't know what is.     I have a page with multiple instances of anythingSlider on it and I'm using PHP to dynamically load pages that swap out the content in them. Reference: http://ceedcreative.com/CEED_2.0/ I would like to edit the anythingSlider to disable the previous / next buttons if the UL it's displaying only has one LI within it. In other words, no buttons, just a clean div that's the same heigh and width (no scrolling) if there's only one image.

    Hey Guys, Long time reader never posted until now. Im having some trouble with Android, im implementing a library called JJIL its an open source imaging library. My problem is this i need to run some analysis on an image and to do so i need to have it in jjil.core.image format and once those processes are complete i need to convert the changed image from jjil.core.image to java.awt.image. I cant seem to find a method of doing this does anyone have any ideas or have any experience with this? I would be grateful of any help. Danny

    I'm trying to detect white objects in a video. The first step is to filter the image so that it leaves only white-color pixels. My first approach was using HSV color space and then checking for high level of VAL channel. But if user selected images of larger resolution like 3000x2000, the scaling take lot time & freezes the application until scale done.   • Running mysql query using node blocks the whole process and then timesout

    I have a node javascript that uses mysql npm (Felix). I have a procedure stored in my DB which I call when the user selects an option to kind of create its own instance of the program. The user chooses for how long he wants that data to be initialized for him. This is suppsoed to be between 1 and 2 years. So if he choose 1 year this query will insert around 20,000 rows into 1 table. If I run this query and a local DB this takes around 30 seconds (I suppose it is reasonable because its a big query which should be done only once in 1 or 2 years so its ok). For some reason my node script freezes as if it can't handle any more calls from other users. The even worse problem is that after like 2 minutes my client ui gets like an error from the server. At this point not all the data that was supposed to enter the DB is entered. After waiting like another minute all the data finally gets to the DB and only then it will accept new requests.     I'm trying to convert a working Durandal view model module from a singleton to an instance. The original working version followed this pattern: define(['knockout'], function(ko) { var vm = { activate: activate, companyId: null; company: ko.observable({}) }; return vm; function activate(companyId) { vm.companyId = companyId; //get company data then vm.company(data); } } The new version exports a function so that I get a new instance on every request... define(['knockout'], function(ko) { var vm = function() { activate = activate; companyId = null; company = ko.observable({}); }; return vm; function activate(companyId) { vm.companyId = companyId; //get company data then vm.company(data); } } The error I'm getting is "object function () [...function signature...] has no method company on the line vm.company(data);. What am I doing wrong? Why can I set the property but can't access the knockout observable? How should I refactor the original code so that I get a new instance on every request? My efforts to simplify the code for this question hid the actual problem. My real code was using Q promises and calling two methods with Q.All. Since Q is in the global namespace, it couldn't resolve my viewmodel after converting to a function. Passing the view model to the methods called by Q resolved the problem.

  • Passing a variable to jsp when reloading an iframe using javascript

    In my javascript code I load a jsp page in an iframe and pass some variables like this: htmlData[i++]="<iframe id=\"mapframe\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"width:330px;height:300px\" src=\"" + "mapURL.jsp" +"&lat=" + AjxStringUtil.urlComponentEncode("33.65") +"&lng=" + AjxStringUtil.urlComponentEncode("-84.42") +"&accord=" + AjxStringUtil.urlComponentEncode(accord) +"\"></iframe>"; Then I have to reload that jsp page after an action, and I do this: accord = ui.newHeader.text(); document.getElementById('mapframe').contentWindow.location.reload(); The reload works except that the "accord" variable is not getting updated. When I call it from the jsp, it still has its original value. How do I pass the new value when reloading the iframe/jsp? It shouldn't make any difference, but I am working with jquery and this is for a Yahoo zimlet. Thanks.
